Naw I couldn't really keep it, I did have it in the beginning when i was coloring him in but it was too man made looking and I couldn't really find any abnormal horses to back up the face marking and the brindle looked too busy XP but it still resembles the original, especially where the breaks in color are :p

Your Name: Jones.
Horse's Name: Phoenix (After the mythical bird)
Height: 16.2hh
Gender: Stallion
Story/Legend/Myth:

The ancient tale of a striking red horse, only ever seen in the desert, has been passed round for years. His coat as bright and shiny as a newly bought ribbon, shining even more in the desert sun. Beads of water running down the sleek coat and the legend of him striking fire wherever he steps. Some people think he has the lifestyle of the Phoenix, growing older then burning every hundred years to have another one in his place. Many people claim to have seen this unique horse, many after the day of rain, however the only person who truly saw this horse died years ago. So that's where the legend begins...

The rain had been pounding down on the small city, too many people were seeing the beautiful horses of the desert, some just curious others detirmined to be the first to catch one. None of them suceed no matter how many were seen. After all the sightings the rain was so heavy it washed away crops, clothes and even managed to damage the houses. One man set out to do something, the rain would only last for a few more days but there wasn't any time left. He knew that there had to be a horse out there with the reverse effect, causing drought instead of rain. After searching the desert, many days and nights, he finally caught sight of a hore. His coat the burning red of anger, flames and yet it shone like a rosy apple. The horse stared back at him, his eye lids and head dropped not even bothering to run or approach. The man ruffled his hair, wondering what to do about the strange horse, he stepped closer to the unmoving horse. Phoenix snorted awakening slightly before trotting away into the desert. Sighing, the man walked back to the village, hoping that the strange encounter would have cured the curse of the rain. But no, it was still there, as heavy as it was before.

So now, to this day, the man told of his encounter with the strange red horse. However he changed it quite a bit, saying the horse was angry and frisky, never stopping to stand still. He told of how the horses hooves were fire and wherever he went the rain would go. When asked if the rain would go he would reply yes, when I saw him the rain never troubled our village again but this man was indeed the village liar. Other people set out to find this horse but none have ever suceeded Phoenix is only found where he wants but it was his mythical flaming hooves the earned him the nickname 'fire walker'

Your Name: flicka
Horse's Name: Lady Scarlet
Height:14.8hh
Gender: mare
Story/Legend/Myth:

(backstory) It is said that long ago it is said a great stallion ruled the vale, he was dark as the midnight sky yet cursed with a white mark of a star upon his forehead. With long nimble legs and a pointed dial, not the biggest or fastest stallion. Anyone would look at him and think he was just like any old stallion, but thats where he got them. He didnt have the largest herd in the area for nothing. He was crafty and sly he knew the perfect times to strike, battle, and defend his group. While his abode was safely tucked away to where he was rarely challenged by the bachlors. The vale was large and spacious, similar to canyons and cliffs but it was actually fairly comfortable and beautiful. The stallion made his home in a cave behind the waterfall in the vale, but this was not all to it's beauty. The vale had crimson colored sands, his competitors did not have this kind of beauty. He became a legend even for his own kind but truthfully more of a nightmare; he lured unsuspecting mares in season as well as stealing them and occasionally foals from his neighbors. Even at one point the former "queen" of the darks. He had many mates and children, however there had only been two mares to ever hold his tarnished heart. Valencia had been the first a young spunky fiery Neutral mare of grey colorings, he had loved her with all his heart but alas it was not meant to be. Then his mares began to compete to be the lead mare especially after they became pregnant with his spawn, Dir-en-grey was a grey mare she was very independant and strong but also very bossy while Comatose a chestnut mare was kinder and understanding. The stallion was not a kind hearted being especially around those that were to be his comrades but; In his hidden little sanctuary he could be kind and caring loving father he was meant to be. Badge chose Comatose but at time regretted his choice because Coma would disappear from time to time especially when it came to being pregnant. Badge had two colts and two mares the first year of his rain over the vale, Wicked Crusade was a grey colt with an ebony black mane and Zodiac was a colt of mirror image of his father Freedom was older then Zodiac because like Diru her mother Dreamer's race had been mated to earlier then Comatose she was a blue oran filly with ebony tresses, then along came Twisted it is said she had cream colored pools. And lastly his final year he ruled he had a filly named Roulette from his mate, a beautiful little filly who he barely got to know before passing on of old age.

He did not know his mate had carried a foal within her from their last coupling; It was a difficult birth for Badge had not been the only one to age his mate did as well she was already a grandmother from Zodiac before his death at the second in comand of the dark king when he had been fighting to make a better life for his daughter and truthfully now that Badge was gone it wasnt much better at the vale because Crusade had taken over. He was the eldest son of Badge and he was displeased when he learned Comatose was having another child of his deceased father, you can imagine how he felt when he learned that the child was none other then a dark crimson colored colt with ebony plumage. Comatose was banished along with her son; Crusade would not have it where everything he decieved for go to his brother. Including Badge's form enemy's daughters whom a particular one he had taken a liking to. Comatose later died shortly after Crimson was able to take care of himself. He had grown into a fine young hot-blooded stallion with a coat of gleaming crimson and ebony. A marking of the devil's white star and three white sock and one stocking. Eyes of feiry amber and an attitude like his father's. It was then that Crimson began his own life embittered by his brother's greed, he became the scourge of a new land immediately stealing a lead mare that belonged to another stallion and mated her. In short time he had three mares to start a band. In his first year when Sash's pregnancy had finished she delivered two foals a boy and a girl but only the colt had belonged to him he was a dark chestnut color. While Crimson also had Arrow with Friday, a cream colored colt with his star. by the second year he had to teach his own son ash a lesson which ended up getting caught by humans and taken away at a round up, however with Sash he had twin sons both of his own. Comet was a painted chestnut other then that in markings he took after his father while his brother Steele took more after their mother and was an iron grey. By the third year he had Floret with Rapids and Posidon with Sash. Floret was a roan filly beautiful and graceful while the colt was a chestnut color. Comet had his own child and mate, with Jupiter he had a daughter named Demeter who was a coffee and ivory paint and his brother Steele had a foal with his mate Sparrow he had a colt named Omaha. He was a piebald chestnut. As you can see the legend lives on in them, Comet and Steele came by their mates in a raid shortly after being kicked out of their father's herd. During the winter the herds migrate into the mountains. But it was said that Crimson dreamed of re-claiming his birth home in the sands....

(lady scarlet begining)

Lady Scarlet was born from Crimson however the mystery is who her mother could be. It is said that he mated with the ghostly form of a mare of sands another is that perhaps Crimson was never her father at all but Ash, who was mated to the finest sand horses. Whatever the truth is Lady Scarlet is known as the Sand Shadow; She appears and disappears seemingly in a blink of an eye coming and going like a spectre in a flurry of sandstorms. Which she seems to be most often spotted in or when they are happening. They say when you see her it is a bad omen for more often then not if you have stallions near-by they will come up missing and are never seen again. There are speculations as to what happens to them perhaps the seductress lures them into the storm to die a slow and painful death, maybe it's as simple as they got lost and returned to the wild unaware of the direction of their former homes. No matter what the truth is those who come upon her fear her appearance. Because death is said to be close at hand. She is said to be a cut-throat mare, beause if the stallions do manage to escape and find their ways back they are scarred or bleeding from an attack it is currently unknown as to what Scarlet does to them but she is like the equine version of a Siren to the stallions because when she comes calling they come running at times leaving their own mares un-protected and ocassionally a few mares end up missing as well. Has the she-devil been feeding on them? perhaps a secret herd has followed behind her? Guess you'll never know....

(I wanted to keep an air of mystery about her)

    Your Name: Hailey Rose/ Mozzie.
    Horse's Name: Sage.
    Height: 16 Flat.
    Gender: Female.
    Story/Legend/Myth:
The moon grimly shone between thick clouds of fog. A mare name Zipora stood on the sand, yards away from the cavern which she called home. "Faolan, get my pots filled with water and steamed over the fire. The time is right." Zipora looked up at the dark sky clear of stars. "Yes, m'lady." The monkey hissed before turning and disappearing in the dark cave. The mare flared her nostrils as she spotted a faint silhouette galloping down the beach toward her. Without the slightest hesitation, she turned and cantered into her cave. "Faolan, get me sage and ginger. Hurry!" The small monkey scurried across the room as Zipora picked up in her muzzle the sash that was lying across the anvil. Dropping the scarlet sash into the water, she whispered,"The scarlet sash, for her divine beauty." Faolan tossed armfuls of Sage into the pot of steaming water. "Sage, for her ability to heal quickly." While Faolan dumped a vile of ginger into the mix, Zipora ripped a tuft of her silky, white fur and tossed it in. "Ginger, for her bittersweet personality. Lastly, fur for her mustang form."

Right as Zipora spoke the last word, two mustangs burst through the door. They knew it was already too late to cast the spell that Zipora had just cast, but they would attempt to stop it. One of the stallions reared up and struck Zipora on her head with his hoof, making her vanish in a split second. The other stallion used his head to tip over the pot, not even noticing a certain monkey scampering right past him. Faolan was indeed the reason this story is passed on today, for she was indeed the one who got away. The waves started crashing upon the shore madly, and the current was strong enough to tear trees from their roots. Faolan stayed clear of the water and waited for what seemed like forever until she finally saw it. A little pure red mustang washed up on the shore.

Faolan raised the mustang named Damenik until she was old enough to fend for herself. Damenik then met a dashing stallion, Hermes. Long after, Damenik gave birth to a stallion named Abiona, which means born on a journey. Once Abiona was grown, he met a mare named Voodoo. They had a foal named Sage, and she was the foal that Zipora had created ages ago. Sage had a white blaze down her face, which was said to be the mark from where the stallion struck Zipora and made her vanish. She had beautiful red and black fur, which was from the scarlet sash. Near her tail was white tufts of fur, the same fur Zipora had donated to the creation of Sage. That is what legend says about Sage's wild creation, but who knows if it's just a myth. Don't be so sure to doubt this story, because a certain old monkey would beg to differ.

Your Name: Seatala
Horse's Name: Danisk (like silk danisk, her coat just looks like a red silk)
Height: 17.4 hands
Gender: female
Story/Legend/Myth:

I was once ruler of a proud blood thursty heard. Not that we actually drank the blood of our enemies, well some did who were truly crazy, but no. Blood thursty, like we were always ready for battle, always ready to take over land and fight to the death for it. You could say that our herd, was like the equine version of Sparta. Our herd was raised into battle, since the moment we were first born, there was always some version of practice battle, and the stong ones would make it through to be able to fight... while other foals... where not so lucky. I was almost one of those not so lucky foals. My father and mother were the leaders, the king and queen of the herd, and I was the first born. The first born, MUST and ALWAYS get crowend after their parents die. When and where I was born, I do not know, but I know that I was born just in the protection and sights of my father and mother. They had a feeling that I would be a filly, and they did not want a filly. They wanted, a strong, brave colt, just like daddy. And so, they kept me a secret, and told no one, so that IF I was a filly, I would be left and abandoned for dead, so that their, "first born" would be a colt, and turn into a great stallion. But as they cleaned me off to see if I truely was a girl, they saw my magnificent coat.. and could not let me go. And so, they believed that my coat, was sign. They saw HOW red it was, and decided that, red represents blood.. and blood represents battle, and that this sign, would mean they would have victory in many battles...They knew that the blue showing brightly in my eyes represents trust, honesty, loyal, and faith. Faith that I would be the next great queen. But they were wrong. Very wrong. My parents where wrong, because someone, somthing saw to it that I would fail at everything I did, or attempted to do for that matter. My greatest ...thing, that would earn me me rightful place among the greats, would be to take over another heard's land. We were in the midst of battle, and I was leading my...our herd in a chrage when... when the king of the other herd struck my father, and sent him flying into the ground...dead. I had failed many times before this war, and my kingdom finnally saw to it, even my mother, that I was outasted after this tragedy had happened. And so now, I am lying here all alone, and abandonded like I should have been, here in this god for saken desert. Because that little girl they once where going to throw away, but grew to love and beleive at how strong I would become, is not in their eyes anymore. But don't worry, mother... father..I have become stronger... and I will prove to you, and come back to show you how strong I've become.. and come home.

Your Name: Koiyote
Horse's Name: Nenshō-kawa
Height: 18 hh
Gender: Male.
Story/Legend/Myth: Long ago, when the wars of Japan raged, a spirit out of hate grew from the ground. After a soldier was fatally stabbed, his murderer threw the bloody sword upon the ground after having felt a burning sensation in his arm. The sword clattered to the ground and shook with violence. The sun cast a shadow across the blade as it vibrated and trembled, making the possessed sword more ominous. The soldiers had mixed reactions; some ran or, if on horseback, galloped away, while others stood their ground to behold the demonic sword. Within seconds a dark but bright light of red and black enveloped the sword. The men standing closest to it were blinded and fell to the earth, unable to stand the tremendous light. The rays faded and in the place of the sword stood a mighty horse, tall and frightening and purely red and black from the blood and shadows. The soldiers hurled their spears at the beast, but it had no effect on the creature of hatred. It was a demon, something that could not be killed by mortal spear. The remaining soldiers attempted to flee for their lives, but all were overtaken by the demon and either stripped of their life or stricken with a fatal disease.

The equine escaped from the scene unnoticed, but he failed to kill all witnesses. A lone soldier had fled and, on the way, caught a glimpse of the demon. He ran back to his city quickly to give news, but he never arrived. Meanwhile, the demon was growing thirsty. The spirits of the land made it difficult for him to find water, and when he did, a river spirit added a sort of spell on the river. The drinks of water burned the equine, singing some of his pure red and black off to make the fur and mane in some areas white. It also officially opened his eyes, which had not been open before. He had been moving solely on demonic ability, but now he was able to see. His eyes were blue for the river that opened them. The river spirit ended up doing more bad than good. Not only was the equine mad and able to see, spirits had been mocking him as well, calling him Nenshō-kawa, or burning river. The demon was enraged and brought a fire upon the area, drying up the river and killing the spirits who had lived in it. The demonic equine moved on from there, wandering toward a village now that he could see. He wreaked havoc on every village he came upon from that point out.Priests and exorcists were unable to reason or appease the demonic horse. If they could even catch the beast, he would usually scare them off with his demonic darkness, or simply kill them.

The demon feeds solely off hatred, tension, disobedience, and displeasure, and will haunt towns with major amounts of any of those things. He is not as mentioned in modern day, people are far too involved in technology and money. His name is only heard in children's tale, mothers will often tell his tale to scare their children into obeying. He still looms, though. Over his years he found the ability to shape shift, and will now often roam busy city streets as a dog, cat, or human. He has killed many over the past 10 years, but no one has known it was him because of his disguise. So hear the tale; beware of hate, lest the demon of sword and blood be upon you.

Your Name: EnigmaticJackal
Horse's Name: Solitaire
Height: 16 hh
Gender: Mare
Story/Legend/Myth: A trickster wanders the land. A mare, who's name is unknown to most leads many too their end. Whether it be a human or a stallion, her seductive nature and strange coat are enough to strike fear and lust into even the calmest of souls. They call her Solitaire, as she has turned life into a sort of game. Only the right hand can win it, but she is a master of shuffling the cards. Taking nature to her advantage, sandstorms have become her partner in crime. They say that during only the calmest time of day, when even the sand dunes stop singing, only the sound of hooves can be heard. But it is not close by, but distant. A charming jest of laughter flows though the still air and an odd sensation will wash over you. Before you know it, you are lost, staring into icy blue eyes. The next thing... darkness, and the same, sweet laughter that lead you to the quicksand.
