Name comes specifically from this frog, but here's the info on Oophaga itself.

Personality: Oophaga, affectionately called Oofa, is a klutz. He has such amusingly awful luck that, even on the best days, he will land in mud puddles or get whacked by a tree branch while jogging out his momentum during landing. Though thoroughly humiliated by it, he has accepted his misfortune and bears it with a grin... though reluctantly. Generally, though, he's a sweet stallion who only wants to make those around him happy... even if it's at a personal cost to him. He has little value in himself because, despite everything that he has going for him, he only sees his failures - very much like real-life comedians today. Though not depressed as they typically are, he's desperately afraid to dream for fear that he will fall just as gracelessly as he lands.

Personality: Newton is a fun-loving act-first-think-later stallion. Staying up late and calling to owls and rabbits is just his thing. In the daytime he likes to race the wind. Newton is loyal. If there is danger, he will stay and fight for the herd. He is determined; if there is a cloud to be reached it's reached no matter what. Despite his eccentric outer appearance, Newton is an Avis that knows more than the others. Hence his intellectual name. He likes to think alone in a peaceful solstice every once in a while.

Personality: Salazar is cunning. He has a silver tongue and can use it to get whatever he wants. He has a bit of an ego and has a hard time admitting that he is wrong. He is clever and ambitious, both respectable characteristics. However, his downfall is that since he himself is such a trickster, he has a hard time trusting others - for he feels that they have similar motives and actions as himself.

Personality: Dart is a stoic creature. He tends to live by his morals and values. Wanting to secure and protect all those he allows close, he's often dreamed of finding his place at the head of a small herd. Dart can often be found either soaring high above the trees or perched a top a cliff, surveying the lands. You'd think since he's such a stoic and protective fellow that he'd be great at communicating with others, sadly that's not the case. He tends to be a bit awkward when communicating on a normal level. That's probably why he hasn't quite found his way to the head of a group, but he tries to work on this every chance he gets.

Personality: Ko is a pretty dopey dude! He's very oblivious and naive, and will fall for just about anything that you try and pull on him. He's very sweet though, and is still very trusting even after the millions of pranks pulled on him! Ko Tao tends to latch onto someone and then spend all his time following them around like an oversized puppy, which can get pretty exasperating pretty quick! He means well though, and is usually just trying to help in his own special way c:
