Story (With introduction):
As her name implies already, special about the DAM lady Quorra is her good an big heart. She isn´t that wise, bright, modest and she isn´t even a saint. But properties like magnanimity and charity makes her for her herd irresplacable. To each motherless foal she would attend, if necessary she would convey, when a loner pleased for become part of the herd and if an injured DAM is lagging behind to the herd, you find Quorra by his side. Next to her you find calm and peace and her soft and good-natured smile has already given strenght and courage to so many in need. Each of the more vulnerable gets her feeding place during the time of droughts and every DAM is allowed to nestle to her warm back in the cold desert nights. If you would have to describe her in one word, it would be "wonderful".

Quorra loves, as probably all the other habitant of the desert also, water for her life and it had been anticipated overnight, so it seems to become a lucky day. Her breath was free, the air clear and full odors and when she woke up her fur covered with hoarfrost. During the morning she searched for first clouds at the sky as first signs for rain and when she nearly couldn´t stand it any longer, she stocked and pricked her ears right to the west. Yes ... now, again ... this was the sound of thunder! Then she saw it, too. The horizon darkened rapidly. And the rain came as a beautiful spectacle at the sky. Even northern lights would in no way inferior what happened at this moment. The rain clouds were sun shined through and between heaven and earth began a color show with thousands of diamant like glittering raindrops and many little, shining rainbows. If you had looked closely this moment, you had seen how every muscle under Quorras beautifuls fur tensed. and then her own spectacle began.

- Every time it rains, Quorra played and jumped and run with the storm, she was famous for, but this time was special. Two moons in the past a great storm claimed many lifes. The storm arrives at night and surprised the unsuspecting habitants during the sleep. The wind and the rain wasn´t the problem, but because of the wet ground the power of lightning carried far. The lightning struck in two herds, both herds had losses to complained. So the leaders decided to grow together to did not loose the safety of a mass and with the little herd grow into Quorras herd, came Nathan, a golden stallion and she fell in love. But till now, she haven´t had the courage to show this or get into a conversation with him. All the time she admired him from afar and hoped he would go the first step. But the storm, her storm, gaves her the power to attrac attention and the dance of the hearted DAM began.-

She pushed herself powerfully from her front legs, arched her back and hind legs followed. For a second it seems that she was floating above the desert sand with her mane and tail swirring confused around her like strange ocean waves and the waterdrops splashed onto her with desert heat charged fur and evaporated impressively. Then her hooves hit hard on the ground and she kowtowing again and again, squeals and striked out with her front legs while she tried to snap single raindrops. In last order she ran - and believe me, she´s fast - down a dune to a dried-out river bed which filled more and more with water. Like a nymph she strolled through the meanwhile stomach-high water, watching the splaching raindrops she produced and sometimes she snorted into the water like a little filly. What a wonderful day!

Nathan, the new herd member, stands on the edge of the riverbed, watching shy the ravishing little mare cavorting through the water. He followed her down not knowing what it is that makes this feeling in his breast und he wasn´t able to take the look off of her. Suddenly when the strom arrives he saw a breathtaking beauty in front of him, flying with wings made of rainbows and surrounded by thousands of little glittering diamants, this moment he will never forget for his whole life, he swear. What a wonderful day!
