Art: As every breath of fall flies by each year, it will always call out one name: Alue, the diety of Autumn. This mere fawn might seem to be just a fawn but her frost-like calls prove that winter is here and a hush voice is the sound of fall, no fawn is as powerful. But she is shy of her powers and the Autumn is arriving shorter each year as her shyness dissapears. Forest Hush

- "As small as I may be, my role as Autumn is very large..." -

Forest Hush is fully aware of her size, (it's all she hears from her cousin spring), but couldn't care less. She knows her job is important, and that her size wouldn't make any difference whatsoever. Her job is her life, literally, and she puts hard work, care and passion into each golden leaf, each pale sunset. She is bright and knowledgeable, having seen more than two lifetimes worth of Autumns. She is usually happy, apart from the times when she cannot work, as her season has come and gone, but the other thing that often brings her down is when she sees people disrespecting her season. I won't put examples incase she sees this, but I can guess you hopefully have some idea of what I mean. Finally, Forest Hush is artistic. Well you would have to be if you controlled one of the most vibrant seasons. She doesn't just colour her leaves red. They are crimson, pale red, dark red, red-brown, red-orange, and so on. No tree is ever the same with Hush, which takes a lot of time, but that suits her just fine.

Hush, Summer ends, the cold creeps in,
Hush, a tiny fawn, bracing the world for the change,
Hush, quiet and you can see her coming,
Hush, the air crisp, quiet, eerie, strange.

Hush, the leaves fall, covering her soft brown fur,
Hush, the gold, the orange, the red,
Hush, asleep until autumn will next occur,
Hush, hiding from what is ahead.

Autumn again:

I am Autumn, controller of the slightly less popular than my two - very distant - cousins, but equally as important season, but just call me Forest Hush... Or even better, just Hush. It's so much shorter. Let me ask you a question: What of there was no autumn? What if summer fizzled straight into winter? Well, it could be difficult. If I did not exist, as hard as it is for Autumn to say such a thing,  if there is nothing, or no one to ease the change in weather, then there would be no crisp, cold nights to guide you into the bitter, icy cold months that my cousin brings. No beautiful landscapes to help others to settle into the bleak, harsh surroundings of Winter. Nothing.

So that is basically my job; I prepare the earth for Winter, drawing it slowly, safely out of the security of Summer. When the hottest season finally has had enough, she wakes me from my sleep. It always takes me a while to adjust: Summer always leaves things too hot for my taste. To cool me down until I can work faster on the land and the weather, I cover myself in leaves. Since I have only just woken up, they are still green and fresh, but that will soon be different.

To wake myself properly, I take a stroll (well, I guess you could call it more of a very, very long walk). I stride every inch of land, my delicate hooves turning everything down a shade of colour - It's always too bright when I arrive. That is fun, making everything become more subtle, but it's not the best part of my annual walk. The leaves: oh the colour palette I have to work with is marvellous. Reds, browns, coppers, every shade of good and yellow imaginable. I guess I go a little crazy sometimes. Every leave has to have the perfect colour, the perfect amount of crunch when they are stepped upon. I'm rather picky when it comes to it. 

As I journey round the earth, out of sight, becoming a whisper of wind, or a bronze leaf if i was in need to hide, the leaves I used to cool down when I awoke, slowly start to turn, as if, just by touching me, they were becoming a part of autumn. (While they were for cooling me down after summer was done, they were no longer any use for making cold. I can do that myself. Since they don't want to leave yet, they will do fine as a blanket). Like every tree you will come across (apart from those stubborn ones that even winter cannot affect) the leaves on my back begin to fall. Drifting off my back, one at a time, every so often as I make my journey across the lands, each one landing with the others. 

Soon my work is done. I have reached the other side. Winter is drawing in. I have done all I can, now I just have to hope everything goes smoothly. I would stick around, see how things turned out, but, unfortunately, I can't. As the last leaf floats away from my fur, it has become too cold for me too stick around much longer. So I sleep. Winter knows what to do, as does Spring after her. I nestle under the leaves that are slowly disappearing, and wait for sleep to come. No one will see me. I am no longer needed, so not present on earth.

Personality: Willow absolutely loves Autumn! Willow is very playful and loves the forest. She enjoys piling up fallen leaves with her hooves and then frolics in them and watches them slowly drift back down to the ground. She loves to skip through the forest meadows and watch the colors in the sky as the sun slowly sets.

art: this poem is a section from one of my english projects. i love this part of the poem and i think it pertains to swea beautifully:

i am from
the long winding roads lined with pumpkin orange trees,
different smells of maples and apple cinnamon,
