His color scheme is one of my all-time favorites. It reminds me of the Aurora and the deep sea all at once. His vibrant orange eyes make a nice warm contrast to his cool color scheme- they kind of look like glowing lanterns. It also doesn't hurt that I really love gradients. A lot. It's almost as if I have a rule that I must use gradients in everything I create.

His markings are complex enough to be beautiful, yet simple enough to draw from memory. I adore the swirl on his shoulder, the chevron-ish stripes at his tailtip, and especially the stripes that curve outwards from his eyes. And his white mane and ear tufts are so fluffy and awesome. :3

He has such a sweet face. If I were to give him a backstory, he'd be a shy, quiet, clever, optimistic little catbug. He'd live in a forest on a stormy island near the sea, and there would be a small town nearby. Each night he'd flutter over to a house with its lights still glowing and listen to the inhabitants tell folktales to their children. If he liked the stories, the owners of the house would awake the next morning to find tiny flowers or seashells or colorful stones near their lanterns.

I don't know if marble cats can actually understand human speech or not, but this guy seems to me like the kind who would love stories if he could hear them.

I haven't drawn a character in a long time. This cat might just be the inspiration I need to start drawing again, rather than just coloring things in.
(I don't have a tablet, so I usually use a mouse and Photoshop. I'm still clumsy with the Oekaki, which is why I have not drawn any linearts with it yet- just in case you needed to know that for some reason.)

Marble cats in general are quite the graceful species. I've been kind of admiring them from afar up until now. I didn't want to post an adoption form until I found the "perfect" MC... and guess who that is. <3

He just gives me a nostalgic feeling. When I lived out in the country, me and my friend would sit on the roof of my house watching the summer night sky; we'd watch from the moment the stars were out till the moment they went down. We'd tell stories, make up things, etc. People have no clue how much I miss that, this design just enchants me, the colors remind me of the night turning into day. Lately I've had an empty feeling inside of me, and god this sounds stupid but, it's because I haven't seen the stars lately, this boy just- when I saw him I couldn't help but smile. He just brings back so many good memories c: (And he'd be my first Marble Cat o3o)

Personality: A very calm and laid back boy, he's there for people when they need him and is one of the most helpful marble cats I have ever seen. He will comfor anyone wether he likkes them or not, he doesn't really hold grudges; forgive and forget eh? Though he doess like to play around, he isn't a total 'buzz kill' though he will be quite serious at times; Mystic has a naturual sense about nature, he knows whhat is what and how to treat what. In a way it's like a second nature to him. He's incredible loyal and would refuse to betray those close to him, no matter the consequence. Mystic doesn't like to fight because he hates hurting others; they're all related to someone and if they get injured how will that relative feel? Mad? Sad? Maybe they'll want revenge, it'll just be a never ending circle.
Story:
Mystic laid on the branch lazily, his tail flicking from side to side as he watched three other marble playing amongst each other. He knew they'd welcom him if he ask to join but he'd much rather watched them than play; he'd never really enjoyed actually socializing so much with other marble cats as much as watching them. He was much more of an observer. He stood up and stretched before walking to the edge of the branch, just bending it slightly under his weight. His whiskers blew in the breeze and he had to hold onto the branch not to get blown off. The other marble cats looked up at him and one called up to him,
"Hey, Mystic come play with us!", he thought for a moment before flying down to them.
"What are we playing?" Mystic asked tilting his head curiously
"Uh it's kind of like hide and seek." The smallest one chirped trying to think of the proper name for it. Mystic nodded, it seemed the smallest one was it so they all ran and hid when she started counting. "One.. Two.. Three.. Four.. Five.. Six.. Seven.. Eight.. Nine.. Ten.. Ready or not here I come!" Mystic shrunk back further into his pile of leaves he was hiding in; The oldest one and the middle one were both hiding in trees that they blended in with. He realized that his blue pelt didn't blend in at all wwith the leaves so he just hoped that the amount of leaves covering him would hide him. Squeezing his eyes shut as he heard a rustling near him, Mystic tried to stay as still as possible when he heard her voice.
"Found you!" Mystic's heart stoppped for a moment until he realized it wasn't directed at him, he couldn't tell who she had found but it only meant one down. He was glad she hadn't found him first like he normally was. "Hmm, one down two to go." Mystic heard her grunt as she decided where to look next; it was only a few moments before she found the other one. I won! Mystic thought happily, he almost jumped out of his hiding spot but he had to wait for them to give up. What seemed like hours was only minutes of waiting he heard them finally give up. He leapt out of his pile of leaves and they congratulated him on winning.
"Honestly I didn't know I was any good at these games." He smiled taking in their compliments.
