Let me say, his name means 'core' since his design reminds me of a scienctist. He would be most interested in earth science than any other science, which is the study of the earth. This favourite study in earth science would be the study of the earths core and what is below the earths crust.

He likes to keep worms as pets since they live in the ground, but since they're lifespan is usually 4-8 years old, they have to stay in the ground to live that long, he generally keeps a rabbit as a pet. He has a interest in animals that burrow under the ground. The species would be a blue havana rabbit orginated from the Netherlands. Her name would be Horu Hito, meaning Digger in Japanese, or just Horu as a nickname.
