Wings flared against the wind, sweeping forward and around the man to block him against it. The glae howl and pushed at the white feathers, blowing hard against the barrier. The angel ignored it and pushed his hand into the earth. It pulsed with life below his palm, warm and alive. Closing his eyes he focused on the beat of the world, slowly tuneing out the storm that raged against him. She was close, very close. With a sweep of his wings he broke against the wind, standing up and gritting his teeth at cold air. He had to find her, he had to keep going.
