How/when her powers are likely to appear, and why: A dry summer day provides the best conditions for Sahara to unleash her fury. It has to be around 100-110 degrees F. It is more common for her to summon a sandstorm during a drought, when the sand is loose and already movable with a soft breeze. She gets a kick out of watching the animals and sometimes people run for cover in a barren wasteland. She is a cruel mare, not one to show pity for the weak. She does have a soft spot though... she has a strong motherly instinct and will lessen the power of a storm if she spots a camel calf or a foal of her own kind. But only if she sees them.
Plans you have for her: Art, and lots of it. I could also have several poems circling my head at the moment as well.
Why you chose to apply: The beauty. A simply unique equine at best. I have always loved your art Maz!
How you plan on keeping her active: Mainly drawing her. If you make an rp I would happily join it. Maybe even make her a page on my equine thread.

How/when her powers are likely to appear, and why: Her power appears very rarely, she just summon her sandstorms, when someone gets to the secret place in the desert. the only place she belongs to and she want to protect. it's a wonderfull place, protected from the heat throught big cliffs on booth sides. little trees and flowers growing there and a little river flows throught the canyon. wild Mustangs lives there and she loves to look at the horses, everytime when she watch them, she feels admiration, that these animals can live in this little place in the middle of the hottest part of the desert. Everytime when humans or a carnivore discover the secret place. she summons a big sandstorm, that rage over the canyon and ripped the flesh from the bones of the enemys. but she would never let her sandstorm goes in the canyon and harm any peacefull creature that lifes there.
Plans you have for her: i would draw her often and make a little signature picture of her that i would do in my siggy ^^ maybe i would use her in rpgs, but then it would just be in german rpgs with my friends ^^
Why you chose to apply: Because she is such a wonderfull mare and i love her theme from the sandstorm =) she reminds me of freedom and untamable wildness ^^

Art (judging on markings and colors mainly): she is jumping... why? i forgot her shadow and the base under her.... because i wanted to draw her summon a sandstorm... but it don't turnt out like i wanted it...

Name: Kachina
A Native American Hopi name meaning "sacred dancer" or "sacred spirit".
This name was given to her by the Native Hopi tribe of her Arizona roaming grounds because she would often be seen in the mornings at the break of dawn, and she'd be dancing. Or at least the equine equivalent of dancing. Many times she would come and attend the rituals of the Hopi and take part in their dancing, but out of reverence for her no one ever tried to capture Kachina. (See Powers)

In olden legends, she's also referred to as "Qaletaqa", which means "guardian of the people" in their language.

Age: Her exact age is unknown, but by village legend she's assumed to be around 142 Years of Age.

Height: 18.3 Hands, she was estimated by standing next to the Village elder, who stood at 7'3".

How/when her powers are likely to appear, and why: Her Powers are only able to appear when their is a strong burst of wind, usually one over 20 mph. It's as if the wind has to charge her powers before she can use them. Only very rarely can she use her sandstorm without wind; it has to be a dire situation, and it can leave Kachina completely exhausted, sometimes to the point that she can't even walk. Her powers typically appear as tendrils of sand, ones she uses like ribbons when she's dancing, whether alone or with the tribe. To use her true power, then someone or something has to be threatening her family. Back in the days of the old west, when she was just barely older than a year and Indians were being driven from their homes, the Hopi village she protected was never even touched. Many journals account for the appearance of a "spectral mustang" that would sweep entire cavalry ranks off of their horses with merely sand. This was Kachina. She uses her powers most often to protect the tribe, and she's a symbol of power and resilience for them.

Plans you have for her: I plan on making art of her between classes and soon work, and she'll be given a mate (another ESWH if the limit raises, if not I may find her one from my existing characters). She'll also have a place on my Adopted Family thread.

Why you chose to apply: I chose to (finally) apply because I had seen her before and had just absolutely adored her, but I was so wrapped up in my R.A.W. entry that I didn't have time to create a proper entry. That competition passed and i hadn't checked up on her, so I decided to come by. When I saw the altered deadline, I jumped on the bandwagon. I fell in love with her mainly because of her markings, with the "island star" marking on her face (what my instructor used to call markings such as that, my old mount had a double island) and the stockings that look like bracers. Her pale but dark buckskin base color mixed with the bright chestnut stripes also drew me in, and I couldn't resist her a second time.

How you plan on keeping her active: If there's an RP, I may join given I have the time. She'll definitely be lavished with art and stories whenever I have the chance.

Ok, the things around her forelegs are supposed to be tendrils of sand but my program was being erratic, so it didn't come out exactly as planned. Overall though, I'm very happy with how she turned out considering I was rushed. I was working on an animation and a video of her, too, but I didn't have time to complete either. So I whipped this up so I'd at least have a completed entry. I love this girl so much.

How/when her powers are likely to appear, and why: Her powers only appear when there is a nearby storm. Her powers work more efectively if it is a sandstorm.
Plans you have for her: I plan to have her in my signature with a lot of art I/other users have made of her.
Why you chose to apply: I love her designs very much and I have never been chosen to have an animal of someone elses' species, sadly. :C I really love the species!
How you plan on keeping her active: I will make a story about her and possibly a WME I might win. It will be so much fun!

How/when her powers are likely to appear, and why:
Ceiand's power over the sand has always been uncontrollable. Over time, which has been thousands of years, Ceiand has figured out that her will is the strongest feeling she has to over come it.

Her only need for her power is to escape from a natural disaster like a tornado, hurricane or from human's who decide to destroy her homeland. (in this cause, fury and rage will be controlling her sandstorm powers.)

(How her powers work/what they do/how they start up)
At first her will to flee from danger will cause a stir in the winds, which will have a domino affect with the sands, since they don't weight much they'll swirl in circles as they fall behind her and rage back and forth as if fighting against each other. Then as she runs across the sands to escape, the winds will assist her as she runs, giving her momentum as she runs. She'll run faster than the human eye is capable of seeing, so she'll look like a blur dancing in the desert.
Each step she takes will leave sands hot and swirling in place, causing tiny twisters that fall behind her and slowly die out over time. Every bob of her head will cause the sands in front of her to separate and make giant waves of sands that will crash down all around her causing both destruction and beauty.

Plans you have for her:
With your permission, i'd like to make her a permanent character/creature god in my comic im working on. It's a comic I dedicate to adding all of my muse characters /adoptables into as a tribute to being mine. (So they all have a chance to shine
)
Why you chose to apply:
So I can own one of your beautiful Storm Weavers, and hopefully use one in my comic.

How you plan on keeping her active:
By adding her into my comic, as a demi god of the sands. (Main characters will meet Ceiand as they travel into her lands, hopefully befriend her as an ally.)
