Fifth in my halloween series, this guy is based off a vampire and has some serious dental problems with those overgrown canines. To win this guy i want to know what his favourite thing to eat is and why, please refrain from the obvious answer; 'blood', i wanna see creativity! Wow, you guys did your bayou kelpie food research well! This was hard to pick, but i really like how the winner used his overgrown canines to help in his diet, much like a vampire

His favourite thing to eat and why: Most trees have a resin or sap. Vlad enjoys sinking his teeth into trees. He loves the taste of tree sap and how gooey it is almost like blood, but much sweeter. He developed this unuasl diet as foal. When he was young he had a thrist for something he could not quench. So, one day he was bored and saw a fallen log. He walked over and used it to exercise his fangs( everyone needs healthy gums). He bit into the treee and tasted something so fufilling that he was not thristy anymore. Waring: If you see two puncture like holes in a tree's trunk. Run!! VLAD is near.

Edit: Incase you are wondering here is a picture of tree sap. Doesn't it look like blood. It is the color of his coat.

What is this you may ask? Well its a plant better known as BLOOD BERRIES.

When I was younger I heard some Kelpies talk about bitter plants that looked like droplets of blood and it instantly caught my attention, instead of doing the obvious and nipping at their heels I headed out of the Bayou and went searching for these crimson droplets.

In a thick green bush little red berries lined a string and my mouth watered i could imagine them bursting and staining my mouth red and jumped to eat them.

Flavour burst into my mouth as I let the berries' juices burst into my mouth and fill my seances with a sweet, sour and bitter explosion.

Since then Blood berries where my favourite snack and I always have them nearby.

He has a dark streak, and many would believe that it was blood on his teeth, and mouth, when it's just strawberry juice, most of the time. He's been known to actually eat dead wild cats, because their blood contains a vital source of Iron wich gives his coat such color.

His favourite thing to eat and why:Ishbahd's fav. food would be Grigola frondosa- hen of the wood mushrooms.As a highly adventurous eater he veered away from the usual vampy lore of blood and went in his own eating direction. Not saying he isn't a carnivor. He eats meat off of small swamp animals but prefers hen of the wood because they dont get stuck on his fangs.

His favourite thing to eat and why: sugarcane, it is not often grown near his stretch of swamp. He searches after storms when stalks are washed into his bayou. He chews the sweet fibers dry with frenzied fervor for its not often that he gets such a sweet treat.

(Sugarcane is often found growing along the banks of canals and 'human touched ' bayous in the southern US.)
