What do you wish to get out of this critique?

I'd really like to know which parts of it are good/liked so I know what to do for future forms and I'd also like to know if there are any small details to improve on. If maybe some icons/more pictures would help or something. Just little things to boost my chance and maybe if possible the estimated chance I have of getting her. It's still a major WIP, but I'd like to know how I'm doing so far.

Personality:
Usually in the world, mutts are seen as unclean creatures with no chance of love in their lives, things that should be left on the spattered to rot away or wind up on death row in some forsaken pound. Poseidon isn't this sort of mutt. He is a very hard working boy, one who has had to put up with tons of other mutts of his age and older. He tried to stay out of trouble while he could fend for himself, but that soon became hard after the accident. He is also extremely patient. He would wait beside a dumpster for his meals, and would take what was thrown to him in the local zoo. He doesn't complain or whine, look down on others or criticize the unfortunates. Poseidon tries to help them the best he can, offering them his scarce food scraps and looking after them. But some of the others don't like to be helped, and this breaks Poseidon's heart.

Use:
I've always wanted a pirate themed set of characters, but I could never seem to find some to fit the bill, or even create some. Poseidon has both the looks and potential to become that young scurvy dog (see what i did there xD) on an old pirate ship. I have wanted to apply for his in the past, but I've never had any real reason to, or any clue as to what he would be used for/in. Now I have a reason and this is me trying out for him. As all my characters, Poseidon would receive art and loving care, he would never rot away in a dusty old thread. He would be much loved and used <3
