Name of this Vindex: Bressi
Age: 3
Personality: Caring, loving, and very helpful. She always tries to motivate others to stay strong and not give up. She is very sensitive to tohers' emotions and will do anything she can to keep others healthy and happy, no matter who they are.
History: Bressi was born with a rare form of breast cancer(just pretend it can happen in canines, mehh :3) and went through a major struggle as a pup. She came very close to dying many times but she forced herself to stay calm, and keep believing that someday she would be cured. When that day came, she lived every day following as if it were her last, and made sure to never let anyone give up on themselves, giving herself as living proof of the things you can overcome if you try.
Why did you want her?: I don't personally know anyone with breast cancer but my step-grandmother as well as a few friends of mine, both young teens, are going through cancer and I can't even begin to imagine what themselves as well as their families are going through. My grandmother has been in-and-out of chemo, and has actuallysurvived small cancers a couple of times now. I want to adopt Bressi because I love what she stands for.
Short Story or Art: Tears rolled down Ari's face as she held her leg carefully off the ground. Even this action hurt her grotesquely swollen leg, and she clenched her jaws as it throbbed. The pain never seemed to end anymore, only waver in intensity. Often it would be so unbearable it caused her to writhe and shake, trying to get away as it shot through every nerve in her body, churning her stomach and causing her to wretch. Her throat felt raw and rough, and her voice was hoarse and muted as she looked up at Bressi with dull, hollow eyes. "Bressi, I... I can't do this anymore. I can't stand this." Bressi's ears turned back anxiously. "Don't say that! Infection needs time to heal, and the once it does the bone can be firmly set again and you'll be alright." But Ari shook her head. "That trap held me for hours. My leg was twisted and turned and pulled and shoved too many times to count. I'll never be able to run again, so I'll be no use to anyone anymore." "I will help you learn to run. You'll get through this. the infection's getting better every day, and soon you'll start getting stronger. It always gets worse before it gets better, but if you just keep thinknig of all the things you'll be able to do once it's healed, that day will be here before you know it." Ari glanced up and gave Bressi a weak smile. "Promise?" Bressi's tail wagged happily. "On my life, Ari." She nuzzled her friend affectionately and padded away, tail wagging slowly at the young, injured Vindex. Had she turned around, she would have seen the young fae take a deep breath before slowly standing and lightly touching her paw to the ground, feeling the grass uner all four paws for the first time since the day she was caught.
