_______________________About the Species

Types of Rah'liani

Rah'liani are canines that come in a variety of different "Types."
Each Type has four Element variations of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air.
The Fire Elements are known as Ignis, the Water Elements as Aqua,
the Earth Elements as Terra, and the Air Elements as Aeris.
How do you tell the difference between the Element variations?
Simply look at the shape of the ears and tail of a Rah'liani.
Fire elements have wolf-ish ears and a tail that is long and
tapers to a point at the end. The tip of the tail is on fire.
Water elements have partially floppy ears and a tail that
undulates and swirls like waves in a large body of water.
Earth elements have fully flopped ears and a short, stubby tail.
Air elements have long chest fur, long ears, and feathery tails.
Every Rah'liani has the ability to control whatever Element they are.
So Ignis Rah'liani can control fire, Aqua Rah'liani can control water,
Terra Rah'liani can control earth, and Air Rah'liani can control air.
There are twenty different Types of Rah'liani, and all of them live
on a planet called Sprig that is similar in many ways to Earth.
All of the Types have unique qualities that sets them apart.

Archaic Alphas

Occasionally, Archaic Alphas (AA) are found in the wild and tamed by someone with a lot of patience.
An Archaic Alpha is a Rah'liani who is stronger than a normal Rah'liani both physically and elementally.
This means they can control their element (fire, water, earth, or air) more easily and more powerfully.
AA have extra features to them depending on their Element variation and will have custom linearts.
They will only imprint on one human and one human alone, so if you have one it is a huge honor.
AA will be breedable, but only with each other. And they'll only produce normal Rah'liani, no matter what.
You will only be able to breed your Archaic Alphas twice, so choose wisely when breeding them.
Archaic Alphas will be released occasionally and will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
Even more occasionally, there will be best form wins competitions to win an Archaic Alpha.
When a winner is chosen, they can then choose one of their existing Rah'liani to become an AA.
If you own an Archaic Alpha and no longer want it, the AA will be "retired" and released into the wild.

About Sprig

Sprig is the world where Rah'liani live. They can be found all over the globe,
but certain types can only be found or adopted from certain towns or areas.
There are a handful of cities where humans live alongside domestic packs.
Where humans don't live, there are usually wild packs of Rah'liani.
Wild Rah'liani don't always trust humans, so they can be difficult to tame.
Domestic Rah'liani are friendly towards humans and are bred and kept like pets.

How to Adopt

There are four ways to adopt a Rah'liani. Please pay attention to which forms are used for which type of adoption.
If you accidentally use the wrong form for a competition, your form will be skipped and you will have to re-try.

The first way to adopt is "First Come, First Serve" where the first person to post a form gets the Rah'liani.
This will be the most common form of adoption and is the easiest way to adopt a Rah'liani.

The second way to adopt is "Guess a Number" where a person wins if they guess one away or right on the correct number.
Every Guess a Number adoption will use the numbers 1 - 50, so please only guess numbers in that range.
If the number hasn't been guessed correctly within a week, the Rah'liani will go to the person with the closest number.
This will be the second most common form of adoption, but it's a little harder to win a Rah'liani this way.

The third way to adopt is "Best Form Wins" where forms are judged by the artist and a winner is chosen.
Best Form Wins will be for holiday Rah'liani and very special Archaic Alphas. These Rah'liani are harder to win.

The fourth way to adopt is "Archaic Alpha Auction" where the person with the best bid wins the Rah'liani.
This will only be for Archaic Alpha Rah'liani. Since these Rah'liani are so special, they are the hardest to win.
To be able to bid, you will need to send a trade suggestion to rainbowpanda101 with what you're offering.

More About Adopting

Rah'liani live in packs, so you will be required to name your pack when you adopt your first Rah'liani.
In the Archives, all packs will be listed in the order of a pack owner's username.
Packs also have ranks, which is why you have to provide a rank for the Rah'liani you adopt.
Don't know what the ranks are? Check the Species Info section!

All forms should be posted on the thread of a Rah'liani, not here in the main thread!

How Customs Work - Read, Please!

Custom Rah'liani are not based on reference pictures because I want them all to be unique.
You give a list of colors, patterns, and markings that you'd like, and a design is made based on that.
If I find out you're trying to trick me into making a Rah'liani custom based on one of your characters,
I will not hesitate to ban you from the shop and put the rest of your Rah'liani up for re-adoption.
That sounds harsh but this is my species, and I worked very, very hard on them and their world.
You should want to adopt a Rah'liani to use them for writing stories, ordering art, roleplaying, etc,
not so they can be lost in a list of art for your already made character(s) on your character thread or site.

Custom Rah'liani come with a free fur tattoo when they are first requested. What is a fur tattoo?
It's a pattern or marking dyed into the fur of a Rah'liani. You decide what the tattoo is going to be
and where it goes, as long as its reasonably simple. I will let you know if a design is too detailed.
The tattoo you request for free can be any color or multiple colors. That's totally up to you!
Once a custom is made, if you want more fur tattoos you'll have to buy them in the Bells & Whistles shop.

RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME!
Please make sure you check them occasionally.
Major changes will usually be announced.

We have a three strikes policy here. You get three chances to behave yourself in the shop.

Strikes on your record will have a time period. After a certain date, a strike will be removed.
However, if you reach three strikes before any of your strikes are removed, you will be banned.

If you're banned for getting three strikes, you'll be banned from the shop for a minimum of 6 months.
The strikes are for minor rule breaking. Stealing, massive spamming, etc. will get you banned forever.

Everyone gets one freebie - break a minor rule once, and you will only be reminded to check the rules.
However, break them again and you will get your first strike and so on. Please pay attention to the rules!

General Rules

- Do not be rude to anyone, especially the staff.

- Do not spam. Take your chats to PM. We have a Xat chat.

- Spam is one-word posts, off-topic comments, posting "marking", etc.

- Do not mini-mod. I have enough Moderators.

- Do not beg or try to bribe the staff for any reason.

- Do not double post. Edit your last post if you need to.

- Do not steal the species. You'll be reported if you steal.

Adoption Rules

- You can adopt again after 5 Rah'liani have been adopted after you.

- You can only adopt one Rah'liani from the Pound per day.

- Only adopt from Pound if you didn't get one of the last 5 Rah'liani.

- You can own a total of 20 Rah'liani. Pack expansions are available.

- You may only purchase one pack expansion per month.

- Please name your Rah'liani! Only Customs or Offspring can be WIP.

- PM rainbowpanda101 to name or give rank to a Rah'liani that is WIP.

- If you no longer want your Rah'liani, please PM rainbowpanda101.

Form Rules

- Do not edit your order forms. If you make a mistake, post about it.

- You are allowed to edit forms for Best Form Wins competitions.

- Make sure to post all forms and orders in the right place.

Fanart Rules

- You are allowed to create art of your Rah'liani, in any art medium.

- You are allowed to create editable Rah'liani oekaki linearts for owners only.

- You may not color in Rah'liani oekaki linearts for competitions.

- Do not try to profit off Rah'liani, unless you get permission from rainbowpanda101.

- Credit rainbowpanda101 for the species.

Breeding Rules

- You can only advertise for a breeding partner once per page in the main and breeding threads.

- Please take all breeding partner discussion to PM. Discussing it in the thread would be spam.

- Female Rah'liani can only breed three times each.

- Males can breed an unlimited number of times.

Archaic Alpha Rules

- All staff and customers will be allowed one Archaic Alpha only.

- If you own an Archaic Alpha and are banned for something serious, your AA will be retired.

- Archaic Alphas can only breed twice, so choose wisely!

The person with the highest bid on the end date will win the Rah'liani.

You are allowed to edit your form up until the day before the end date.
If you edit your form, please strike out old text and write your edits in italics.

You are allowed to add more to your bid up until the day before the end date.
Please PM rainbowpanda101 so she can send the trade back to you to edit.

You are not allowed to remove pets from your bid for any reason.
If we find out you've removed a pet from your bid, you will be disqualified.
Please be sure you're willing to bid a pet before you add it to your bid.

You are welcome to withdraw from the auction at any point.
If withdrawing please edit your form post and strike out the text,
and post in the thread that you are withdrawing from the auction.

You will not be allowed to bid if you have a strike against you.
Rule breakers will not be rewarded with an Archaic Alpha.

No harrassment, of any kind, towards staff or other participants will be tolerated.
If we find out you've been harrassing someone, you will be disqualified.
Depending on the severity of the harrassment, you may also earn a strike.

We have the right to extend an auction until we get at least three bids.
An auction will not close until there at least three bids,
unless one of the first two bids is something we feel we cannot refuse.

Feel free to post any questions you may have regarding the auction.
Questions regarding anything not related to the auction will be ignored.

CS pets and items can be exchanged for Gemstones, but I'm only looking for certain pets and items. Gemstones are the currency that allow you to buy customs, breedings, and items from the Marketplace. You can send trades at any time to save up Gemstones. Note: Please make sure to notify me in your trades that it is for Realm of the Rah'liani!

Your Gemstones amount will be recorded in the Gemstones Bank below. If you think the amount listed for you in the Bank is wrong for some reason, DO NOT post that you think your amount is wrong. That is the sort of thing that should be discussed over PM, so please PM rainbowpanda101 about your concern.

I prefer Wishlist pets at the moment, but I will accept non-Wishlist pets as long as they are from 2008 to 2010. I am also looking to fulfill my item Wishlist, but I'm willing to accept items not on my Wishlist. You are welcome to pay with hoard pets, but hoard pets are not that important to me, so their Gemstone exchange rate is pretty low. Most of my hoard pets are uncommons or lower from 2011 - 2013, so paying mass amounts of them shouldn't be too hard since they're easy to find.

You can also exchange Gemstones for pets that are wanted by the guest artists. There will be a list of pets the guest artists are searching for, along with the amount of Gemstones those pets are worth. When you send in one of those pets to rainbowpanda101, she will put the Gemstones into your Bank account and then send the pet on to whichever guest artist was looking for that pet.

I will not accept spiders, so please don't offer them.
Dogs and Wishlist pets are preferred, but are not necessary!

and must be uncommon or a higher rarity!

If you buy an accessory once, you'll be able to place it on all of your Rah'liani - even at the same time! However, if you want a different color of an accessory you've already bought, you will have to buy it again. All purchased accessories will be noted with your username in the Archives. If you have suggestions for accessories I could add, I'd love to hear ideas! There are no linearts for the accessories themselves, so every accessory will be custom drawn on each Rah'liani.

Welcome to Old to New! This is where you can request your original Rah'liani to be switched from The Royal Mirage's lineart to Tundra's Oekaki lineart. The transfer is absolutely free! Original Rah'liani can be found here in the old Archives. Some of the images are now missing, so if one of your Rah'liani is not showing up I cannot do anything for you. Sorry! However, your other Rah'liani can still be transferred over. When Old to New is open, just post the form below. Make sure to include if you changed your username! Tundra and I will be doing the transfers, and we will have to verify that you own the Rah'liani that is being switched over.

Please note that if your Rah'liani has a design that no longer fits the updated design restrictions, you and I will need to discuss over PM about the design transfer. You have two options if I deem your Rah'liani not suitable for transfer. 1) The pattern/marking that is causing your Rah'liani to be denied is changed to a Fur Tattoo, OR 2) The pattern/marking that is causing your Rah'liani to be denied is changed to something that does fit the new design restrictions. Once we come to an agreement, your Rah'liani will be switched over by either myself or Tundra. Once your old Rah'liani is switched over, it will be added to your new pack and be counted toward your restriction of twenty Rah'liani.

What are Rah'liani?
Look at the Species Info section above! It will tell you all you need to know about Rah'liani.

What are Archaic Alphas?
Archaic Alphas, or AA, are special Rah'liani that will be auctioned off occasionally.
Some will be given out in very occasional best form wins competitions, as well.
They are special because they get custom linearts and are more powerful than normal Rah'liani.
Owning one is a special honor because they are so difficult to get your hands on.

What is Sprig? the Graveyard? Fortuitous Valley? etc?

What times do you release?
Whenever the artists or I get a chance. It will be sporadic.

Who are your Artists?

How much do you charge for your adoptables?
First Come, First Serve; Guess a Number; and Best Form Wins adoptions are free.
Archaic Alpha Auctions require you to bid pets in order to win a Rah'liani.
Custom Rah'liani are 1000 Gemstones. Breedings are 1000 Gemstones,
not including special items needed such as Breeding Tickets or Berries.

What are Gemstones?
Gemstones is the currency used to buy Customs, Breedings, items, etc.
The Marketplace has a vast selection of accessories for you to purchase, as well.
You can get Gemstones by exchanging CS pets. Make sure to adhere to the Payment section!
There may be chances to win free Gemstones in games or events later on.

How many Rah'liani can we adopt in total?
The maximum number of Rah'liani you can adopt is 20.

What if I want more than 20 Rah'liani?
If you want to buy expansions, you will have to pay for them in Gemstones.
Check the Pack Expansion section of the Marketplace for prices.

How often can we adopt?
You can adopt one Rah'liani every five Rah'liani. It doesn't matter what Type it is.
So if you adopt a Rah'liani, you must wait for five more Rah'liani to be adopted
before you can try for another Rah'liani. The type of adoption doesn't matter, either.
This gives everyone a chance to get their hands on a Rah'liani.
Customs and Breeding adoptions do NOT count toward this limitation.
Please allow others a chance to win Rah'liani if you have quite a few already.

What's the Pound for?
The Pound is where Rah'liani go if their previous owners no longer want them.
These Rah'liani go up for re-adoption so they can go to a new loving home.
You can only adopt from the Pound if you haven't adopted one of the last five Rah'liani.

Can we get custom Rah'liani?
Custom Rah'liani aren't "custom" in the usual sense. I don't allow Rah'liani based on reference images.
Instead, you give a list of colors and markings and a unique design is put together based on that.
To get a custom Rah'liani buy a Custom Token, which can be found in the Marketplace.
Before requesting a Custom, please make sure to check to see if Custom Slots are actually open.

Can we breed our Rah'liani?
Of course! To request a breeding buy a Breeding Token, which can be found in the Marketplace.
All breeding-related orders should be posted in the Breeding Nursery thread, not the main thread.
You'll also need to make sure both Rah'liani have a Breeding Ticket before they can breed.
Breeding Tickets can be found in the Marketplace, along with other special breeding items.
Before requesting a Breeding, please make sure to check to see if Breeding Slots are actually open.

What?! Why do I need a stupid Breeding Ticket for my Rah'liani?
Think of it as "registration" for being able to breed your Rah'liani.
A Breeding Ticket is only 100 Gemstones, so they aren't that expensive.
And they do not expire, so once you buy one for a Rah'liani it stays with them.

Once I breed two Rah'liani, are they mated for life or can I breed them with others?
Wild packs typically work where only the alpha pair mate and produce pups in the pack.
However, the way domestic packs (those owned by CS users) breed is left entirely up to the owner.
Owners decide which males and females mate and whether they are forever mates or just a one time pair.
As long as your Rah'liani have Breeding Tickets, they can mate with whomever you choose.

Can I breed my Rah'liani with someone else's Rah'liani?
Yes! You can breed your own Rah'liani together, or partner up with someone else.
If you want to partner up, please discuss it over PM and not in any of the threads.
Both partners must post the correct form in order for me to accept the breeding request.

How many times can I breed a Rah'liani?
Female Rah'liani can breed a total of three times.
Male Rah'liani can breed as many times as you want.
Archaic Alphas can only breed twice and only with each other.

I'm looking for a breeding partner! Am I allowed to advertise that I am?
Yes! If you're wanting to advertise that you're looking for a partner, you may do so.
However, please only advertise you're looking for a partner once per page of the main thread.
You can advertise in the Breeding Nursery thread as well, but only once per page!
If you begin doing it more than once per page, I will consider it spam and ask you to stop.

What if I want to advertise my Rah'liani is open for a breeding partner?
If you want to advertise your Rah'liani is looking for a partner, you can do
so in the oekaki thread of that specific Rah'liani and anywhere else mentioned above.
Only owners are allowed to advertise open breeding in the thread of their Rah'liani,
and it should be about whichever Rah'liani is housed in that specific thread.

Why does my Rah'liani have all of that info listed with it? And what's with the weird words like wrewre and 2HL4lg?
That information is called the Pedigree. It's there so you know everything about the Rah'liani!
The weird "words" listed in the Pedigree are actually the genetic codes of the Rah'liani.
It helps me to determine what genes it has and is used for breeding purposes.
For example, wrewre determines Type and results in an Aqua Regular Rah'liani.
And 2HL4lg determines paw marking and results in a Rah'liani with two half colored legs.
Patterns and markings are determined by genetics, but colors are based on hex codes.
When breeding, I use an online color mixer to mix the hex codes of the parents to get new colors.
Then I choose from those colors to color the babies. It's not exactly genetics, but it works.
