Story- The twins, they had a pretty standard childhood. Or at least, they wanted to be normal. From birth they were always opposites. They could never agree on anything, one bad, and one good. One loud, one quiet.
Soon after they came into the world, their parents disowned them without a word to the two twins. Of course, Ying and Yang were devastated from this, and they never truly recovered from the surprising event that occurred that day.
Ying said nothing because she didn’t want to hurt their feelings like they had done to her, being a nice, quiet Jelly Bean Dragon. As for the brother, Yang, being the complete opposite of his sister said something a child of his age should never say. “They’ll pay for this Ying . . . I swear on my life, I’ll get our revenge.”
So with that, the children ventured on their own for years and years by themselves. They ate and drank what they could find, and took shelter in caves and in trees. It was an alright life, but it wasn’t the best thing you could wish for.
On a beautiful summer day the two found a beautiful meadow, complete with lush green grass, healthy trees and a small stream. Ying and Yang wandered into this meadow unknowing what would happen to them once they stepped onto the dream-like grass.
“Oh, Come on, it’ll be fun!” Yang exclaimed to his younger sister, giving her a large grin. “I-I don’t know . . . I have a bad feeling about this . . .” Ying whispered in a soft tone, her eyes watching the meadow frightenedly. But of course, Yang insisted and dragged her inside.
After Ying had been convinced that the meadow was safe, she sat down beside the small stream. Yang on the other hand swung on a tree branch by his tail, smiling brightly in amusement.
He was suddenly knocked off the tree by a rumbling in the ground, Ying collapsed to the ground while her ears instinctively flattened to her head. Yang crouched over his sister protectively and growled, his head swinging around.
A loud, stone cold voice rumbled out, “Two must fight for answers,
One must lead,
One must follow,
the two walk in the dreams of others,
and in the night sky,
they will find their destiny.
To this day Ying and Yang cannot figure out what the voice meant by this prophecy. They wander on and on, trying to figure out what the voice meant that day, while still keeping themselves cared for.
