Wow <3

Image

name: Twirl. Yup, Twirl is her real and actual, honest-to-goodness, birth-given name. Pretty name, am I right? So sweet and lovely, it sounds elegant and graceful. But...
    I hate it. Hate. It.
...She doesn't like it at all. Not one bit.
Please, please, call me Twist. If you value your life.
She's gone by Twist for a long, long time...ever since she left her parents; or they left her. But that's a story for later, one she'll tell you herself.
    Why Twist?
Well, who're you asking? Me, or Twist herself?
Oh, pu-lease. Of course they're asking me. Why would they ask you about my name?
All right, all right! Go for it. <3
I chose Twist because it fits me; so much more than that stupid girly name, Twirl--
Hey! I came up with that name, ya know!
Exactly. Now, as I was saying, I chose to lose the name Twirl because it just didn't fit me. At all.
I chose Twist because it's just, more of my kind of name. I'm always twisting out of tight situations, and besides, a tough name like that fits a tough girl like me.

Alright, but I bet you want to know why I chose it, don't you?
Of course they don't. You're way too boring. xP
C'mon Twist! I'm going to tell them anyway. So there!
    -eye roll-
    -ignores-
So, the reason I chose the name Twist...
Well, to start with, I really did want to name her Twirl. I put that name up in my form, then went to bed, determined to continue writing in the morning.
Before I fell asleep, I thought a lot about what I'd like this lovely little JBD to be like. And I realized I wanted her to be daring, dangerous...definitely not a 'Twirl' kinda gal. So, I thought on it some more, trying to come up for the perfect name to capture this irresistible little dare-devil of my dreams. Finally, I was just wandering around, thinking, when, in the far corner of my mind, I stumbled upon the perfect name; Twist.
I'm honestly not sure exactly why this particular name stood out to me so much. It just seemed so perfect, from the second I thought of it. Bold; fun; a little bit mysterious...it fits her to a 'T' if you ask me. <3
    nickname: Some acceptable nicknames--
What she means by 'acceptable' is that they won't end in your immeadiate death...probably.
    Thank you for that. -sarcasm-
    -________-
    Any time.
    Anyways...her main nicknames are as follows;
    Twine, Wist, Wisty, Twizzler...
Of course, there are many more, but these are pretty much the only ones you can call her with a chance of not being attacked. xP
super embarrassing nickname: Oh, that would be--
    -shoves-
Ah ha ha...yeah, sure, I'm just gonna let Char here tell you the most embarrassing nickname of my life. M-hm. -sarcasm-

Ha! Well, you may not want to let me, but I'm going to tell Blazer.Peppermint anyway!
Not if you value your life. -__________-
Twist's super-duper, absolutely, most embarrassing nickname of ALL TIME would have to be--
    -is attacked-
    -gasps for air-
    It's...it's
    I will strangle you. TnT
Alright, alright, I won't tell them. I won't...just let me go! Please? -puppy dog eyes-
    -lets go-
    -watches suspiciously-
    Don't try anything...>.>

    -yells out-
    TWIST TIE!
    -collapses into fits of laughter-
    Ah ha!
    -glare of excessive hatred-
    Don't ever be alone.
    I will find you.
    I will kill you. Slowly.
    Painfully.

Are you sure about that? My sweet little Twist Tie? -giggles-
Would you like to learn the exact definition of the word torture?
Want to know why it's such an embarrassing nickname, Blazer.Peppermint?
Might cost me my life, but hey, it'd be worth it, right?
Should I take that as a yes, Char?
    It's because--
    -is tackled-
    -continues talking-
    She's deathly afraid--
    -is smashed to the ground-
    OF TWIST TIES!
    -drags me away-
    -calls over shoulder-
    I'll explain later, 'kay? xD
Oh no you won't. Trust me.
    gender: ...
    ...
    ...
    ...
    ...
Okay, I'm back! All in one piece...mostly...
Anyways, alright, let's see...the next section's gender? Okay!
    EXCUSE ME?!
Are you suggesting I'm anything other than female?!

Twist, they're just asking, I assure you--
    HOW DARE YOU?!
Blazer.Peppermint, I will find you and have my revenge!

    TWIST!
    Don't threaten the ARTIST!
    Fine. T_______T
    Please apologize.
    Now.
    Ha!
Now way am I doing that!
They should be the ones apologizing!
    -stalks away-

    Hehe...
    -nervous smile-
Sorry about that...Twist's a little sensitive in that area, ever since, well you know...she was...
    mistaken...
    -lowers voice-
    ...for...
    -barely audible-
    ...a boy...
    -barges in-
    I HEARD THAT!
You are NOT allowed to tell anyone about that, REMEMBER?!

    ...riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. I forgot.
Hrm. Maybe you'll change your mind later...?
    Yeah, maybe NOT.
    -sigh-
tell us about when she was mistaken for a guy: Okay...so...I'm not supposed to tell you about this...
    No you're not. >->
Weeell...I guess we should find something else to do...
    Oh! Oh dear!
I think I left some silver jewelry in the shed...I had better go get it...
    -is gone in a flash-
Wow, I should have done that earlier.
Anyways, now I can tell the story in (relative) peace...
How did I learn of this? Oh, well, Twist's told me in bits and pieces, and I've managed to put it together. ^^
    Here goes! <3

Re: JBD 28 (Re-Vamp!)

~Definately trying for this one, I'll get a start on my form tomorrow, after the dance I'm going to tonight. ^3^ ~

Name:
"The name's Calliopy, don't wear it out. My name is the same as one of the 9 muses in the Greek myths. She was the Greek muse of Epic Poetry, and the daughter of Zeus."

Nick name:
"All my close friends call me Callie, only my mother calls me by my full name."

Super embarrassing nick name:
"My mother used to call my Chilly-Toes, because of my love of dancing in the snow barefoot in the winter-time. Of course, she mentions it to my friends when they came over, and I decided, to never let my friends meet my mom again, after they started calling me that on a daily basis until I slugged them."

Gender:
"Female, obviously! I mean, could a guy ever be this sexy?"

Tell us about when she was mistaken for a guy:
"You're seriously bringing that up. Again. Well, fine, just to make you happy."

"I was minding my own buisness, walking in the park in my sweatpants and sweatshirt in mid-October, with my hood up over my ears. Then this rude, and really annoying bean walks up to me, trying to act all cool, and he looks at me, and says, 'Hey dude, what's with the makeup? I mean seriously, I thought only chicks wore that stuff.' And that's when I yanked down my hood so he could see my face, and I did the natural thing. I punched him."

Intersting.... What her most ridiculous fear:
"I... I have a mild form of... of Anatidaephobia. If you don't know what that is... It's a bit embaressing, but it's the fear that somewhere in the world, a duck is watching me. Have you ever seen their creepy little beady eyes, and when they fly at you when you're just trying to feed them breadcrumbs?!?! They're scary!"

Waffles, Why does she hate them?:
"Well.... It's pretty embaressing. But, fine... I'll tell you."
"I was hanging out with Mango, who I've known since I was 7, and just watching a movie at his house. I'm not sure exactly what it was, but I think it was the Princess Bride, a movie that always made us laugh. I stood with my stomach growling, Mango close behind me, but soon surging ahead and searching the pantry before I could get there. After disregarding the contents, he opened the fridge, looking over it quickly before changing his objective to the freezer."

"After a moment of rummaging around in the frostbitten food, he triumphantly pulled out a box covered in a thin layer of ice. 'What is it?' I asked curiously, flicking my tail behind me. Ripping it open, he pulled out a handful of...."

"Frozen Waffles."

"He popped them into the toaster, the grin never leaving his face, and starting piling them up on a white plate. I smiled gratefully as I pulled out the syrup and set it on the table. No more than a moment later, Mango teetered his way over. He had the massive pile of waffles balanced on a plate, resting on his nose. A sly smile now rested on his lips, and he raised his eyebrows. 'Callie, I challenge you... TO A WAFFLE EATING CONTEST!!!" He yelled, pointing to the ceiling. I slammed my paws down on the table with a fierce look in my eyes -at least, that's what Mango told me later on- and nodded. We split the pile evenly and glared at each other with competitive sparks. And then the epic fight for pride began."

"Mango shoved waffles down his throat at breakneck speed, while I wasn't far behind. Maybe a waffle and a half behind, at most. Suddenly, I gagged, a waffle getting stuck in my throat in the mass of sticky maple syrup. And then everything came up, quite painfully. Mango stopped suddenly, holding my ears back as I retched. After a few moments, I lifted my head and gave him a sly, weak smile. 'You win.' I croaked."

Ever since that fateful day, I have despised waffles with a burning passion."

When she was three she lost something important to her, What was it, what happened?:
"When I was three... what I lost can never be replaced.... and what I lost... was my father. My mother, father, and I were on our way to the park on Christmas Eve, where the community Christmas tree was displayed. We never had a lot of money, and still don't, which meant no Christmas gifts or a tree, so we went to see the community tree instead. But I didn't mind, as long as we were together. That night, my life changed forever."

"We were continuing to walk along the sidewalk, feeling the lovely frost nip at our noses. My father kept one strong arm around my mother, and the other around myself as I giggled up at him. The next thing I remember is that one of the cars swerved off the road in the snow, towards my family and I. My father let out a yell and pushed my mother and I out of the way the best he could, and everything went black as the cold of the snow enveloped me..."

"I woke up 2 weeks later in the crisp, white room of a hospital, a heart monitor beeping besides me and a multitude of tubes hooked up to my arm. The nurse that had been tending to me was surprised that I had woken up, and struggled to explain to me what had happened. What I lost that night, was my father. He absorbed most of the hit protecting my mother and I, while my mother tried to shield me the best she could. My father passed away a short while after the crash, and my mother was permenantly paralyzed from the waist down...."

"I really miss him...."

She's now kind of a reble teen...Why might that be?
"Ever since my father died, my mother has been extremely over-protective. So, I have to rebel a little bit to get any freedom. That makes sense, doesn't it?"

She love silver, but she's rather poor how does she end up getting it?
"Simple. I work for it. I have round-the-clock jobs around school-time, to pay for my crippled mother, and save up gradually for the silver I love so much. I'm in the process of saving up for this beautiful silver bangle, it's about 2cm. wide with a beautiful frost design etched into it, and an engraving on the inside that reads "Winter Dreams are most definately the sweetest!"

Why is she poor?
"Apart from constant hospital bills, a paralyzed mother, and the lack of my father, it's just luck of the draw. The only paycheck(s) coming into the house are my own, which I use to pay for my mother's needs. We get a little financial support, but not enough to pay for the extremely expensive hospital bills or my school. So, it's money first and school second..."

What jewlery does she have?
"The only jewelry I own is that which I can afford. I sold a lot of my silver jewelry when times got really tough, but I still have my silver locket that I got from my father as a baby, a thin silver bangle with a small finely-cut sapphire in the center of a tiny snowflake etched into the band, and a pair of silver disk earing that match the bangle, with a tiny snowflake etched into each."

What tramatic experance as a kid made her afraid of Crickets:
"When I was 7, my mother -in her wheelchair, of course- and I went to a picnic with some old friends she hadn't spoken to in a while. I had always looked after my mother, and she had been pretty reclusive after my father had died. So, I was glad to finally get her out of the house. As we wheeled into the park, meeting up with the other Beans who had been invited, I spread the large quilt we had brought, and sat down in the warm summer sun. As I spread out, listening to the other beans converse with my mother, something suddenly started flailing in my nose, and I sat up with a start, screaming. That dang cricket had gotten STUCK in my nose, and was trying to escape in the wrong direction. I flung my head around, trying to get it out of my head, while my mother and her friends looked at me with first confusion, then worry. After a good half hour of freaking out, the cricket finally escaped, only to hop down my back and into the grass. I have been terrified of crickets ever since."

She likes the cold, Why?
"Why do I like the cold? Well, for one thing, it reminds me of my father, and how he taught me how to ice skate as a very young bean. The frost nipping, and the shivers you get, each of them makes my day a little bit better, with small reminders of what used to be now and then.

How'd she get those scars?
"These scars, actually, are not from the car crash all those years ago. The visible ones have long since faded. These scars are from a fight I got in, where a few of the others commented on my crippled mother and what a burden she was. Long story short, I snapped. My fists flew, and it was a 4 against one fight, so I was defeated a bit more than usual... I took a few extra hits to the face, and some deeper cuts that left the fleshy pink scars across my face. Luckily, my closest friend, Mango, came to the rescue and finally was able to get them to back off."

History
"Starting at the beginning... I had a very loving pair of parents, who, even with the very little money we had, made my life full of joy and wonder. When I was 3, my father died in a tragic accident on Christmas Eve, and my mother was paralyzed from the waist down. I was put in a coma for weeks. When I finally awoke, I learned about the death of my father, and the trauma my mother had sustained. She cared for me the best she could after that, but she was broken, both physically and emotionally. My aunt tried to help, but it was of no use. It was up to me to keep my mother's spirits up the best that I could."

.:Meeting mango:.
"Although the day started out quite sour, I actually hold this memory near and dear to my heart."

"Well, to start out, it was my first day of 2nd grade. My aunt had dressed me up with a big periwinkle blue bow on my head, with a matching one on my tail. As usual, I was reluctant to wear them.
((Meeting Mango after being insulted and beaten up, crying angrily. Aunt took care of mother until she died on natural causes.
"Later on, in my school years

Name:
Midnaria

Nick name:
Midna

Super embarrassing nick name:
Middie

Gender:
Female

Date of Birth
December 21st,1995

Age:
She's a good 17 years old now

Star Sign
Sagittarius:
Ruled by the benefic planet Jupiter, Sagittarians possess a natural exuberance, sense of adventure and love of life that makes them one of the most optimistic zodiac signs of all. Like their astrological symbol - the Archer - Sagittarians are renowned for aiming their sights towards whatever it is they find alluring - a love partner, dream job, vacation - and making it their own. They believe that anything is possible - and because of this belief system, Sagittarians are adept at seeking out their very own pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

But sometimes trying to tie down these free-spirited individuals is frustrating for those around them. Sagittarians are happiest on the move - exploring new cultures and ideas and many are attracted to occupations related to travel, the media, outdoor work and philosophical pursuits. In love, their catch-cry is "don't fence me in". But once they find a partner who understands their need to retain their own sense of self and identity, Sagittarians can be the most big-hearted, generous and fun-loving companions of all.

Chinese Zodiac
Year of the Boar:
"Its better to give than to receive" would probably be the Pig’s motto. Pigs are more comfortable giving of their own time or attention than they are to ask others for it. They do not find asking for help an easy task and would rather carry the burden themselves. Pigs will do anything they can to maintain a sense of peace amongst family or friends. This can lead to a tendency to be taken advantage of, but Pigs basically forgive and forget everything. They are compassionate souls who simply want to keep the peace.

Native American Zodiac
Year of the Owl:
Changeable and mutable as the wind, the Owl is a tough one to pin down. Warm, natural, with an easy-going nature, the Owl is friend to the world. The bearer of this Native American animal symbol is notorious for engaging in life at full speed, and whole-hearted loves adventure. This can be to his/her detriment as the Owl can be reckless, careless, and thoughtless. Owls make great artists, teachers, and conservationists. However, due to his/her adaptability and versatility – the Owl would likely excel in any occupation. In a supportive, nurturing environment the Owl is sensitive, enthusiastic, and an attentive listener. Left to his/her own devices, the Owl can be excessive, overindulgent, bitter, and belligerent.

Theme Song
"Shake Senora"
by Harry Harold George Belafonte Jr.

Tell us about when she was mistaken for a guy:
Do you really want to know? :D You do? Well okay. Alright so once when Midna was at a concert in California to see One Republic but since she didn't have a ticket she went undercover and she was wearing a concert t-shirt with their names on it and a baseball cap with it and snuck in. With the beat of the music blasting through her ears she was yelling, screaming and shouting with the crowd. With the hat on her head no one could see or tell that she was a girl so a couple of girls were all like smushed around her and yelling with her, and then one of them was all like "Dude listen to them!" or "I love them!" or "Dude wanna get married and live in Bermuda?!" That was when Midna stopped cheering long enough to look at the girl who'd said that with a mixed expression of fear because the girl seemed absolutely serious. That was when Midna devised a plan to hide on top of someone else's head. Needless to say after that little fiasco somewhere out there Midna now has a fangirl out there and often shudders at the thought of her.

Interesting.... What her most ridiculous fear:
She is terrified of....the mailman. I mean just look at him! With his crisp blue uniform, weird hat and huge bag of letters that he could possibly be reading through, and his scary false teeth and beady eyes. He terrifies dogs all the time and honestly Midna can't blame them.

Waffles, Why does she hate them?:
Okay so like one time her mother tried making her waffles while the girl was sleeping in, tired from sleep loss over watching horror movies with Mango the night before and to say her mother isn't a good cook would be inaccurate. Her mom's a terrible cook. Like the woman can burn water for goodness sakes. So when she made waffles for her tired daughter, the girl was soon in the hospital for food poisoning. Ever since Midna twitches at the "w" word.

When she was three she lost something important to her, What was it, what happened?:

Hummingbird
When Midna was three years old she once had a beautiful carved hummingbird, given to her by her grandfather who used to be carver way back when. She loved her grandfather dearly, for the man loved nature and everything in it and often showed her many things at that age. And one of the things he was so fond of were Hummingbirds and like him, Midna grew fond of the tiny birds too. Just watching them fly made her heart flutter with amazement at such a tiny creature and seeing his granddaughter so transfixed on such a creature, he smiled and decided to make her a little gift.

A few years later and he was lying on his deathbed when he gave it to her. It was with a teary smile and a soft laugh that he told her to "never let them force you down, just keep fluttering your wings," and with that he'd handed her the carving. Tears had run down her face as she watched him go with a despairing heart, but she promised him she would, even though at the time she had no idea what he meant.

And then one day while she was at the park, and her parents were out gathering food, her hummingbird was hidden safely in her beautiful chest, a robber broke into her home, and stole everything that held any value. Including her hummingbird. She was so devastated that for days she didn't came out of her room out of anger, despair, guilt and pain. The police found the robber but never found her hummingbird and because of that, Midna carries guilt that she has somehow let her grandfather down.

She's now kind of a rebel teen...Why might that be?
Well I suppose it's because of the fact that she and her parents did not always get along and in fact she was often found defying her father because of his over-protectiveness. Not exactly one to enjoy being smothered she retaliates and often tries to find new ways to get on her family's nerves. So to her being a rebel teen works out just as well, though often she doesn't enjoy the fact that she can be trouble, but feels it's necessary.

She loves silver, but she's rather poor how does she end up getting it?
Well...she steals it. Not from a jewelry store though, because she's not stupid, she knows they have cameras and she doesn't want to be remembered or seen, so instead she pick-pockets and steals purses. Most often the victim won't even notice and she'll get away with the silver she craves.

Why is she poor?
Well she ran away from home for a long time, part of her rebellious phase, and because of that she thought she could get her own home without any help. She's too stubborn to get help.

What jewelry does she have?
She wears two large golden hoop earrings, a tail ring, and two golden bands. They're actually Gypsy gold, but she doesn't care because they were her grandmother's.

What traumatic experience as a kid made her afraid of Crickets:
It all started when her father got the idea that he was going to teach her how to fish. And he used Crickets as bait. And the only way to put the cricket on the hook would be to impale the poor creature with said hook and throw it over the railing and into the water. Well....that didn't go so well with Midna's and because hers was fighting so hard for freedom she accidentally opened the whole tank of crickets that ended up chasing her around the park.

She likes the cold, Why?
Why does Midna like the cold? That's like asking a bird why it likes to fly, or a duck why it like to swim. It's just natural to her, but I'll try to explain it the best that I can. Midna loves the cold for one of three reasons. It's beautiful, it can be deadly, and it's sharp. Simple as that. The snow on the ground, in the trees on the shrubs makes for a beautiful scene, the seems to be something that should remain pure and untouched. It's deadly for the obvious reasons, but she likes it best that way because it's natures way of saying "Don't get cocky, I can still make this hard for you." And it's sharp under her paws, and in her fur and she likes it that way because it helps her to think clearly and rationally when she's upset, unlike the heat in summer. Winter will always be a favorite season to her.

How'd she get those scars?
Your guess is as good as mine, my friend, but here's a the jumbled version I managed to get from her parents and grandmother. It happened one day when Midna had been sneaking out of the house at night, to walk through the park. Her parents had been asleep, per usual, and Mango was asleep too, along with her good friend Paranoia, so there was no one to bother at that time of hour. Not that she had minded, as she really just wanted to be by herself.

And I suppose that's how the trouble started. The whole time she'd been oblivious to being followed, unaware of the dangerous dragon behind her. When it struck, however, Midna reacted in kind and promptly burned it's face, slashed it's legs, and shredded it's ears. It had only struck once, a glancing blow to the muzzle with it's claws, but Midna had been vicious that night and was not happy about being attacked. So leaving the defeated dragon to wallow in his pain, she later called paramedics to help him, she went back home to find her parents up and about with worry and her grandmother hobbling towards her, much to her annoyance. She was scolded as parents and grandmother scold so well, and then sent to her room. She called her friends, Mango, Gami, Blane, and Paranoia and told them what happened and was thus scolded by them too, but she bore it good naturedly. Reflecting on it now she supposed it had been stupid, but it showed her that she was stronger than she'd originally thought and that was what counted most to her.

History
Well Midna's family history dates back to the Middle Ages, filled with stories and tales of her forefathers who were Gypsies. That's right, Gypsies. They traveled near and far, sometimes settling in one place, other times moving wherever the wind took them. Some were peaceful, some violent, some somewhere in between, but it was Midna's great great grandfather, Fonso, who paved the way for her family. The poor male had fallen in love with a noblewoman, La Amabelle, and she had fallen for him as well, but society was cruel and insisted they could not be together despite their protests.

They met in secret, in both defiance to society and to testify their love for each other. These meetings were the only solace they had, the only time to truly become happy. But then La Amabelle's parents began to set arrangements for her upcoming marriage, and out of desperation she'd come to Fonso and told him what they planned. Fonso was clever though and he soothed his lover with a plan.

When Amabelle's parents could not find her the next day, they went to Fonso who told them she had gone to Spain. They didn't believe him and demanded he tell them where she was, but Fonso couldn't help but honestly state she'd gone to Spain. Growing angry with the "incompetent" Gypsy, they stomped into his caravan to find Amabelle, only she was not their Amabelle anymore. She was "Madame Rouse", a beautiful dancer and a quick witted gypsy. When Amabelle saw her parents she was sure they would see through her disguise, and inside she quaked. But on the outside she simply hummed a merry tune, as Fonso had taught her and made her vision lose focus as he had said.

The parents did not see through Amabelle's disguise, however and when seeing what they thought to be another gypsy they sneered in disgust and turned and walked out the way they came. Seeing their chance to run Fonso and Amabelle quickly left the following night, just as the parents realized they had been duped. But by then it was too late.

It was this story that was passed down to her grandparents, and then passed on to her own parents and finally had been passed down to her. And to honor the love of Fonso and Amabelle, Midna dances with her mother and cousins every year, she dances the dance of La Esmeralda a dance that seems to come gracefully from the bottom of her very soul.

Personality
Well as we've managed to gather Midna is a little sweet and a little bitter, like dark chocolate. But what else have we learned about Midna? Well she loves her family, and her history, though she wishes that they didn't have to celebrate every family tradition each year. She is a graceful dancer and seems to enjoy dancing as well. She is as fierce as she is prideful and tends to be a little snappish, but that only when she's agitated. She's rather laid-back and tends to have a carefree attitude towards life most of the time, but when she's upset or times just seem too hard she tries to make sense of it as best as she can and try to push on through.

She's very talented when it comes to singing though as of yet no one has ever heard her, and she is sometimes very naive. Oblivious to the affections of admirers around her, she seems to give them a chance though unintentionally by becoming her friend. She is friends with Mango, Blane, Gami, and Paranoia and is also at the moment trying to teach Blane how to dance La Esmeralda. When she's not hanging out with her buds, or family this JBD can be found either in her apartment or at the beach where it is said that she sings to the sea, though this hasn't been proven yet.

Though she can be rather stubborn and have a rather dry sense of humor. She's very forgiving however, and has a big heart though you'll have to prove yourself worthy of being let into it.

Sexuality
Pansexual, she honestly couldn't care less of the gender so long as they can love her for her.

Crushes
It's not really a crush per say, more like a bond but she does seem to care a great deal for Mango at times, but it can be hard to tell with this female.

Favorite Element
Earth

Favorite Color
Well to be honest, dear Midna doesn't have a favorite color. She sees all colors as unique and beautiful but can't choose which to be her favorite. She tends to make colors represent things in her life for some reason even she can't explain.

Languages She Knows
Since her Gypsy heritage is so diverse and she literally has family all over the globe it pays to be able to talk to them in their native tongue. Though most Gypsies are known to speak in Romanian and can often talk to other Gypsies through that language to see if they are indeed Gypsies, some enjoy being able to talk with their brethren and sisters in their own language from wherever they come from, as Midna learned early on in life. So here are a few she was taught.

Italian- Some of her more prestigious relatives lived in Venice for around 50 years. She has a certain cousin she can't stand however, but that family member will go unnamed for now. They taught Midna how to weave skirts.
Greek- A rather jolly group of gypsies live here, and are very important in the art of Theater to which they practice their acting skills almost everyday. They taught Midna the joys of acting.
French- This group of Gypsies are rather flighty, but tend to be very reliable when things get tough. They are true fortune tellers and some can see into the future. Though she showed no sign of having the same gift, they still taught her the proper way to read palms.

Hobbies
Midna tends to enjoy dancing very much but it's not the only thing she does. In fact she's an excellent carver just like her grandfather, but like her Grandmother she is a pretty good cook as well. Especially since her mother sure can't cook.

What House from Harry Potter would she be in?
Image
Students belonging to this house are known to be hard-working, friendly, loyal, honest and rather impartial. It may be that due to their values, Hufflepuffs are not as competitive as the other houses, or are more modest about their accomplishments.

Hufflepuff appears to have the least rivalry with the other houses, except in Quidditch, although the Triwizard Tournament did temporarily put a great deal of strain on the relationship between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, due to unusual circumstances of the selection of both Gryffindor student Harry Potter and Hufflepuff student Cedric Diggory as Champions.

According to Minerva McGonagall, all four of the houses have produced exceptional witches and wizards in their time, but due to Helga Hufflepuff's policy of accepting any student and its usually poor performance in the House Cup, Hufflepuff is often thought to be the house of less talented wizards. However, this is merely a misunderstanding of the Sorting Hat's poem. The Hufflepuff house has produced a great many of successful and influential members of the wizarding world.
The badger, Hufflepuff's symbol.

Hufflepuff has produced the fewest number of dark wizards than any other house at Hogwarts. Their cheerful and friendly demeanor can probably account for this property of the House. Hufflepuff firmly demonstrated its loyalty during the Battle of Hogwarts in 1998, when they were second only to Harry Potter's own house of Gryffindor in the number of students willing to stay and fight against Voldemort and his forces in the defense of their school.

Midna vs The World

Midna the Mystic

We love You Middie

Stories-
Meeting Midna
When Midna was born into the world she knew one of two things. One was that it wasn't comfortable here, and two she wanted food. Currently she was stuck in her blankets of shimmering grey and downy white, trying to reach her bottle. It was around midnight, and the little wriggler was up and about already. She didn't like it in here at all.

Her parents were sleeping not too far away, which sorta helped calm her down because she could smell them at least. That brought her some comfort. Her little blue paws grasped hold of the bottle, and with a hungry little growl she finally began to have dinner -er- breakfast. The moon shone brightly, it's light gently touching her fur in a array of soft light, as the little one began to finally be lulled to sleep once more, her hunger sated. Her ears flopped over her short stubby legs, covering them just as two voices could be heard, but they were warm and soothing to her.

"Oh Fonso, look at her. She's beautiful."
"She is, I suppose she gets that from her mother's side, eh?"
"Oh Fonso."
"She's a fine young rip. Ah reminds me of my own days as a young one."
"Those days were fond I hope?"
"Heh heh, Of course Amabelle. The younger days are always the fondest."
"Mrr..." Midna purred and she wriggled deeper into her blankets, tunneling out a den of warmth for herself, and her parents stirred lightly, before going back to sleep. Midna instantly stopped her tunneling at the sound of them and seemed alert even in her sleepy state. Then she yawned widely and softly pushed at the tambourine her grandmother had given her. Amabelle smiled and a tear slipped down her cheek.

"She'll be a wise one alright, though I hope she doesn't cause as much trouble as you did."

Both spirits looked down at their great-great grandchild with a mixture of love and adoration, as any proud great-great grandparents would before they both nuzzled her dark floppy ears turned towards the window, they'd come in at and slowly began to disappear with the soft moonlight. Midna didn't cry that whole night.

The Joys of Hanging out with and Angry!Mango and Hyper!Paranoia-
It was a regular day in the life of Midna. She was in her new apartment, not too far from her old home since she'd 'runaway' from it. Her parents could actually come over now that she wasn't as irritated with them any more. Lying on her new bed she licked a paw reflectively as she wondered what she should do next just as the phone rang. Raising an eyebrow she deftly flicked her tail and the phone flew into the air, only to be caught in her paw and answered the phone smoothly.

"Midna here, who's calling? If you don't answer in the next 15 seconds I'm hanging up."

The dark furred female was been polishing her claws on her fur, wondering if she should paint them blue when a rather familiar and EXTREMELY hyper voice replied.

"Midna!! Hai, look right. Mango'supsetforsomereasonandI'm hungryandIwantedtoknowifyouwantedtocomeoverandhavesomecoffeeorpixiestixorboth! I'm sosososososososososo SOhyperrightnow,IjusthadlikefifteenpixiestixtodayandI'mdrinkingMango'scoffeecausehe'smad. So anyway come over!"Click!

Midna blinked as she set the phone down slowly and watched it for a moment, with uneasy red eyes. 'I hope she doesn't expect me to come, especially when she's like th-' Her thought was interrupted as her door was suddenly kicked open to reveal an all too excited Paranoia and a rather angry Mango in front of her. Stomping into her house with an attitude that could boil water, Mango stomped over towards Midna who was beginning to shrink back from the rather brightly colored JBD, who was beginning to turn a rather dark shade of red.

Concerned for both her friend, and her life she decided to go out on a limb.
"Hey Mango, Paranoia, er...what's up?"

"We're hanging out here!" The male snapped so suddenly, startling the blue marked female in the process. Normally she'd snap right back, but for some reason, Mango truly seemed upset as he sat down hard on her bed, fuming silently while Paranoia bounced into the room with another pixie stix in her mouth.

"Okay Mango." She said deciding for once to humor her friend for now. "Now, seriously what's wrong?"

Mango glared at Midna, who stared calmly right back before falling back onto the female's bed with a groan.
"It's not fair..." He mumbled into her pillow as Paranoia jumped onto the bed too, licking her paws of pixie stix with a purr.

Confused Midna looked at her for an explanation which she gave easily, too happy with her sixteenth-no seventeenth pixie stick acquired to be truly stubborn about holding answers today.

"He got a call today about that job place, but instead of giving it to him they gave it some one else. He was working really hard too, remember?" To anyone else they wouldn't be able to understand the girl as she was speaking way too fast for anyone normal to understand her, which was probably a good thing that Midna wasn't normal.

The dark female's eyes widened and she turned to her friend with sympathetic eyes. "Aw Mango, I'm sorry. You really wanted that job at the yogurt factory huh?" The male didn't say anything, but he nodded sulkily. Midna pressed her muzzle into his side and the male closed his eyes, feeling some of his anger and disappointment slip away. Paranoia crawled into the middle and placed her head on Midna's flank and her back legs sprawled lazily over Mango's middle, with a smirk.

"I ish soo Bossh," The contented silence was interrupted at the horned female's words and Midna couldn't help but snort. Mango managed to crack a smile and it made the female smile too. 'Leave it to Paranoia to save the day.' She thought with a roll of her eyes just as Mango replied,"Boss of weird maybe."

Paranoia glared up at Mango who raised an eyebrow in turn, but both soon dissolved into light-hearted chuckles and Midna watched them with a happy smile. She was glad to see Mango wasn't as sad as before and it made her happy to see both of her friends relaxed and happy too.

"You guys wanna watch a movie?" She asked and both nodded. It was a battle trying to find a movie they all wanted to watch, but they made it through with a compromise of an action/comedy that had enough gore for Paranoia, enough laughter for Midna and a lot of action for Mango. Sometime before starting it, Midna had gotten up to get popcorn and Mango, for some reason had followed her. While waiting for the kernels to pop into buttery goodness, both teens were talking lightly about almost nothing really, simply because there was nothing to really talk about. And then Midna asked a question.
"So yogurt again?"

And Mango hung his head guiltily, as he pulled out the yogurt from behind him. It was mango flavored and his favorite as far as Midna knew.

"Yeah...You know me, Middie." Midna's eyes flashed dangerously at the nickname, but Paranoia saved the day once more by screaming giddily at the television, as another one of the characters went bye-bye. Eyes twitching and somewhat disturbed at the outburst, both JBD's shared a glance warily before the popcorn was finally ready to eat. Grabbing the bowl, Midna and Mango joined Paranoia who instantly began filling them in on what they had missed.

Blazing Blue Fires-
It was late, and the world seemed ready to call it a night. The hustle and bustle in town seemed to slow down into a soft tremor, with only a few occupants who were scurrying quickly back to their homes. However there was one who was not at all ready to call the day to an end, especially when it was truly just beginning.

Midna, a beautiful dark furred Jelly Bean Dragon with sharp ice blue markings, stood ready and attentive, her ruby red eyes fixed on the road ahead, and her tail flickered back and forth impatiently. While the reader is reading this let's turn our attention to her clothing, because yes she is wearing some rather unusual attire. The beautiful hand woven skirt made of a mixture of greys, navy blues and teal for instance is not something that is worn casually every day.

A black sash around the waist, a cream colored blouse, golden bands decorate her slim arms and cast the streets light to reflect around her. Her ears are decorated too, with large hoops of gold that jingle with every move she makes. Her tambourine is held lightly in her paw, and her eyes blaze with apprehension until at long last she hears them. Their songs ring out through the lonely town at night and their rambunctious laughter fills the air and makes her smile. Their caravan is old and not very spacious in the least, but as uncomfortable as it is, it holds the ones she cares for, and the history of her forefathers. The horse-driver sees her and smiles widely in greeting as Midna races over, her jewelery jingling gaily as she does.

She speaks in quick Romanian, which is thought to be the common language of all Gypsies.

*"Cousin! Cum mi-ai lipsit. A fost călătoria în condiții de siguranță pentru tine si familia ta? Credeți intra in orice probleme?" The question is answered with a friendly cuff to the ears which Midna instantly returns as he helps her into the front with him. Hearing the chatter, laughter and even yelling of her Gypsy family behind her puts the female at ease in a way that she never remembers until this time every year.

*"Hehehe, daca am avea draga Middie," She growls at the nickname only to her cousin's amusement. *"Ne-ar veni în continuare, le draga Dar nu a fost nici o problema de data asta,. Slavă Domnului."

Midna smiled as well, glad that her family was not in any trouble. It would've dampened her mood for tonight and that would not have been good. 'Especially for tonight.' She thought and for a moment jitters ran up and down her body, as pre-show jitters often do and she felt nervous once more, as she did every year. She wondered if there would ever be a time that she would stop being so nervous.

And of course her cousin noticed, but thankfully he kept his muzzle shut. He knew better than to say anything about it of course. You were to never tell a performer they appeared nervous, or else they might actually stop performing. And of course that would be bad luck on their family. So in order to keep his younger cousin sane and not so worried he asked her many things about her home and how her family and friends were doing, to which she answered them all thoughtfully and with a few warm smiles in between. Which was enough to last them until they got to their destination and right on time. The scent of meat on the spit assaulted Midna's nose, while the sound of music caressed her ears, bright colors of rags attacked her eyes.

Her mind swam with familiarity of old friends and old faces, as warm smiles passed from one Gypsy to another. In her heart, Midna finally felt at home. Without even asking for help she jumped down off the caravan with the eagerness of a child and in no time she mingled into the crowd visiting friends young and old, talking to the elders, smiling charmingly at the gypsy males, gossiping with the females, dancing with the children and eating. Soon the moon was at its highest peak when she finally remembered why she was here and the musicians began to play.

Without even being close to the musicians, she knew the tune by heart, she knew the moves by the way of the music. Her audience of JBD's and even some humans, watched her with wide eyes as she twirled gracefully towards the center clearing, her normally ruby red eyes hazy as she danced the La Esmeralda in her uniquely beautiful way. The firelight cast shadows that formed on her figure, masking her in mystery. Her tambourine flew up once, then twice, then three times each time saved by her skillful paw.

Inside her mind, she was flying. Midna had no true idea of what was happening as she danced, she had no idea of the enchanting figure she had created, no idea of the admirers who watched her with longing eyes. All she knew was the music and that was all she wanted. The beat began to grow faster and as they did so did she. Her arms began to rise as she twirled, her bands jingled, as a smile, so enchanting yet dark formed on her face. The music grew wild then, and as it did so did she. Her spins grew more erratic, her dance grew wilder. She leapt over the fire, she flipped for the crowd, she twirled for them all and her heart began to beat out like a mighty drum. Her arms were now above her head, and her movements began to slow to a swaying rhythm only she could hear.

The Gypsies watched, mystified as they did every year and the music began to slow with her dance. Her eyes were half-open by now and she looked as though she were tired, but then suddenly she leaped right through the fire and much to her audience's amazement she came out unharmed and her fire had changed to a flickering blue, that roared and lapped towards the night sky. With one final twirl around her stage she ended the dance with a low bow, her arms outstretched as she stood crouched. Cries for more began from her crowd and soon everyone was dancing.

Children skipped to the beat, while adults paired up for the slow parts. Teenagers of all shapes and sizes followed after Midna who was dancing to her own music, her own sound. The blue fire blazed about happily, and that night her ancestors had been honored as they should have been, and Midna had danced to her heart's content and was ready to start again next year.

((A/N: Just in case anyone was interested to know what they said.
*Cousin! How I missed you. It was safe journey for you and your family? Did you get into any trouble?
*Hehehe if we had dear Middie
*We would still come, me dear. But there was no trouble this time, thank goodness."))

Dance With Me-

((A/N: Somewhat of a sadfic in the beginning. :L Just a warning.))
She was at the beach again it seemed with her back turned to the four behind her, trying to ignore them, and trying to ignore the pain of . She was hurt. She just couldn't believe they couldn't have just told her. She was more upset with Gami and Paranoia than anything. Would it have killed them to have just talked to her? Just told her? An angry tear fell down her cheek and she glared coldly out at the sea.

The silence was overwhelming which was probably why Paranoia was first to break it.

"So you just gonna sulk here then?" There was a barb in her words that struck a chink in the floppy eared female's armor, but she refused to be baited. She wasn't in the wrong this time. So when she replied it wasn't without a barb of her own.

"Well then when I come for quiet, and to maybe try to figure out why my best friend couldn't have taken the time to tell me she was going to get married to my other friend,"Gami winced at the coldness in her tone, as did Paranoia but Midna just kept going. "Then I'll be sure to try and tone down on the sulking."

The salty sea breeze made her eyes burn and her throat felt tight suddenly. The thought that her own friends didn't trust her to tell her something big like this...it hurt. It hurt alot. She got to her paws then and shook her head sadly.

Mango took a step forwards, his mismatched eyes concerned. "Middie..." A sharp glare from the female however silenced him and betrayal could be seen in the depths of crimson irises. "Don't Mango. You and Blane knew about this too and neither one of you said a thing. Not. A. Word. Instead guess how I found out. The freakin' Mailman told me! THE MAILMAN! Do you know how terrifying that is for me? And to find that out from my worst enemy too!?" Her voice had risen up an octave and her friends shrank back slightly from the shaking female, but that just made it worse. She hated the mailman with a passion and her friends knew that. So why had this happened?

Blane whimpered lightly, and her ears were flattened in shame and Midna had to take a deep breath to calm down. She didn't mean...She was...T-This was..She shook her head briskly and was prepared to walk away as quickly as she could when Paranoia walked up to her. The blue marked JBD stiffened at the unexpected movement as Paranoia planted herself in front of the girl's path. Annoyed Midna tried to walk around, only to be met with the same block. She growled lightly in her throat, but Paranoia was unfazed and seemed to be determined about something.

Crimson met ruby as Midna glared at Paranoia, but the other female would not lower her gaze and instead it seemed she had borrowed a leaf from Midna's book as she sat down calmly.
"The more you try to get away the more I'll annoy you when I find you so let's try and keep this simple...I-I know I did wrong, but that's why we need to talk now." Midna snorted and the grey horned female rolled her eyes but soon grew serious, a rather rare attitude for the normally carefree female to adopt so easily. Turning to their remaining friends she nodded to them curtly, as their cue to leave for now. Blane and Gami seemed to understand easily enough, though Mango was rather reluctant to leave at all, but he went anyway after some 'gentle' persuasion from Blane.

Midna watched them go and once they were out of ear-shot Paranoia turned to Midna once more, her eyes sad and filled with hidden regret. "I know you're angry, Midna...I'm angry with myself too, but that's why. I didn't mean to hurt you, Middie. I swear. I-I was scared, and Gami was scared and I...I'm sorry." Midna watched as a single tear rolled down her friend's cheek as she gazed at Midna with pleading eyes, and she sighed heavily. She was at a crossroads now, but seeing Paranoia so upset now wasn't worth any idea of justice. It would be hard for her, but she could try to forgive at least. Sighing once more, she rolled her eyes before using her tail to brush the tear away lightly. She wasn't happy in the least with Paranoia or the others, but she'd rather be unhappy then watch them be unhappy.

"You've got some nerve Paranoia...but I guess that's why we're friends. But the next time I find out from the MAILMAN, of all people that my friend has something as big as this planned, I'll come over knock Gami senseless and hurt you, you go that?" A small, teary smile covered Paranoia's muzzle and she nodded. "I can understand though, why you'd be scared. I didn't like Gami at all in the beginning after all, but we're best friends and we should be able to tell eachother everything." Paranoia sniffed and nodded sheepishly. "I-I know...I was stupid." Midna took a huge breath before nodding and allowing a tired smile to form on her face. "Well we already knew that," She said with a small smirk and Paranoia bumped her shoulder which made Midna chuckle slightly. Paranoia could tell Midna was still upset, that much she could see plainly enough, though the female said she had forgiven her in so few words.

An idea however popped into her mind as they began to trek towards their anxious friends. 'It's crazy enough to work!' She thought excitedly and her trademark smirk appeared on her muzzle, hidden from Midna's view since the female wasn't looking behind her. Gami, Blane, and Mango noticed this and glanced between the two cautiously.

"Well are you two still fighting?" Gami asked and it took everything Midna had not to roll her eyes. She couldn't help making a remark though, as the opportunity was too hard to pass up. "Hmm well I don't know Gami, I guess when someone who was angry comes back calmer, and okay with the person they were angry with that they actually might be fighting."

Gami frowned and looked ready to say something when Blane stepped in between the two before something got out of paw. "Okay, okay guys settle down," the young female huffed and the two decided to settle down for now. After all no one liked to have an angry Blane on their heads. Mango watched them all for a moment before asking the obvious. "So we're not in trouble anymore then," The question was more of a statement seeing that Midna was now actually able to bicker with Gami. Before she hadn't even wanted to look at the green male.

Midna frowned in mock seriousness. "Hmm I don't know Mango. Are you forgiven?" she asked innocently and the brightly colored male snorted and gently nudged her to which she chuckled about. " C'mon Midna, I'm serious. And I'm sorry for not telling you," Mango murmured and Midna stopped chuckling for a moment as she looked at him, at them for a long moment.

Apologies were murmured and seeing that they were all heartfelt and true, the dark female couldn't help but smile warmly at them. "Oh fine, you're all forgiven for now," she announced and she gently nipped at Gami's ear, a sign he was forgiven too. The sea-foam green male smiled. That was as close to acceptance of him and Paranoia being mates as he was going to get for now, he was sure especially since Midna made no secret of the fact that she wasn't as fond of him, but Paranoia was sure he'd be able to worm his way into her good graces one day. And Speaking of Paranoia...

The dark female was thinking rather quietly beside him, her ruby red eyes focused on something on the horizon which causes the curious Gami to look out at the horizon himself, trying to see what she's seeing, but he doesn't know exactly what he's looking for. The salty breeze sweeps by them all, and Midna shivers lightly as she gets to her paws. Brought out from her trance at the movement Paranoia looks up at her friend, and her thoughtful expression disappears only to be replaced by a bright smirk.

"Say guys, how would you all feel about going to the Carnival?"

A few hours later~

Midna was gripping the railing for dear life as the shuttle car began to descend. Beside her Mango looked spooked and was doing the same, though at least his eyes were open. Midna's were already screwed shut. 'My god Paranoia I'm gonna kill you for this dare!' She vowed silently, as her stomach flopped once more and she was rushing downwards, strapped in the shuttle car. Wind whistled through her ears and fur as the roller coaster went on and on. At one point she actually considered just unstrapping herself, until they went on the loop-de-loops again. When the ride finally stopped, and thank goodness it had, Midna all but flung herself out of the seat and ran towards the nearest trashcan with Mango hard on her heels.

After that little adventure, both set down to find Paranoia, Blane and Gami. Or perhaps hunt would be a better word to describe the stalking gait and murderous grumbles the two shared when they spotted the others at the Carnival dance. Paranoia seeing them smirked from her spot at the turn-tables. Her plan was coming along pretty well. and by the end of the night they'd all have some fun. "Hi guys! Wanna join us lesser Jellies on the dance floor?" The impish dark furred female called as another appeared right beside her wearing a pair of head phones.

"WHO'S READY TO MAKE SOME NOISE!" The crowd of dancers cheered as he and Paranoia started the music. The sound pulsed through the loud speakers and seemed to thrum through the crowd. It wasn't long before Midna and Mango were swept up by the masses and somehow they got separated. The pulse of the music though was too hypnotizing to ignore and our poor Gypsy was caught in its grasp as the music seemed to come alive in her as well. Without much conscious thought she began to dance as well, the vibrations from the loud speakers booming in her ears. Dazzling lights began to appear as the day turned to night and Midna was dancing with someone, she just didn't know who. It didn't matter however because she was having too much fun to care. She spotted Blane and Mango dancing together, while Gami and Paranoia took over the role of Djs.

A happy smile spread across her face, and she began to elegantly glide through the crowd to dance with her friends. The three of them laughed and danced together, when without noticing Blane disappeared. Midna turned to Mango who seemed oblivious to the departure of their friend and for some reason that was okay. As she and Mango danced together Midna couldn't help but remember the day they'd become friends and though she didn't love Mango in the way that everyone else thought she did, she knew he was a special part of her life, simply because he'd been there for her even when things went down hill. He, Blane, Paranoia, and yes even Gami hadn't left her, not even once and that was what she'd been afraid of when she heard about the news. The two lovebirds just might leave and leave for good and the thought had settled in the pit of her stomach like lead, weighing down heavily on her for weeks and had it not been for today she may have actually sulked, as Paranoia put it, some more. Or forever.

Mango twirled her around and those sad thoughts drifted away as she chuckled. "What are you thinking about?" He asked with a curious eye as they danced with the crowd. His voice was loud as he tried to make himself heard over the music. Midna smiled however but shook her head. "Ah nothing! I just had a stupid thought for a moment." Midna said trying to reassure him that she was indeed alright, but perhaps she wasn't being as convincing as she'd hoped because the brightly colored male frowned lightly. "It couldn't have been that stupid." He scoffed as they began to grow tired and headed towards the sidelines where they watched the remaining dancers. Midna rolled her eyes but decided to tell her best friend anyhow. "Fine," She grumbled and Mango nudged her playfully.

"Remember earlier when I was upset?" Mango gave her his patented 'Well duh I was there' look and Midna decided to ignore that as she continued. "Well the real reason I was so upset was because...I was afraid. You guys are my best friends, and I was worried that when Paranoia and Gami finally get married that...that they'd you know leave me behind." Midna looked down at her paws then, feeling a little too vulnerable for her liking. "And as a plus the whole fact that everyone else knew but me kinda put it in perspective..." She shuffled her paws as Mango's stare began to make her uncomfortable. Finally unable to take the silence anymore Midna got back onto her feet. "See? Told you it was stupid. Anyhow, I think I'm gonna go." The moment called for a retreat and a fast one which would've been made had Mango not butted his head to her shoulder.

Surprised by the move than anything else Midna almost fell over her own paws, but managed to catch herself. She looked at Mango who was shaking his head, but not in anger, sadness or amusement like she thought he would but rather in understanding. The yellowish-orange male helped her back onto her feet and then hugged the near life out of her. His scent was surprisingly mango free, and instead she could smell the comforting scent of the beach as well as strangely enough...pineapples. He began to speak then.

"There's nothing stupid of fearing about being alone. No one wants to be all alone, but if Gami and Paranoia did want to move, which I assure you they don't, what would make you think Paranoia wouldn't be on the phone calling you 24/7? Or that Gami would suggest they come visit? Or that they might not move at all or even think about leaving. They love you too much to think about that Middie. Just like me and Blane do too."

Tears, wet and hot slid down Midna's cheeks. She truly hadn't thought about it that way. She'd been so worried, oh so worried that she might never see them again that she just, drew away from them. She hadn't meant to truly do such a thing, but she'd lost family before and how couldn't she? She was a Gypsy after all, ruler of bad luck and superstitions and her kind were often killed back in the Middle Ages. The only way she'd ever known to cope with that fact, pain, loneliness or death was to draw away as quickly as she could and draw up her walls, that acted as her protection against the world. But now her walls were crashing as Mango hugged her, and it took her a moment to realize she was crying at all. He rocked her in her arms, murmuring words she couldn't understand, but drew comfort from nonetheless.

"I'm so stupid..." She managed to croak out as she wiped away a tear from her face, but Mango shook his head.
"Nah, like I said before you're hardly stupid. You were just scared, Middie but hey that's alright."
"I probably scared Gami didn't I?" She asked with a small grin and Mango nodded with a light smirk of his own.
"Now that you did do. He nearly wore a grove into the ground when you guys didn't come back right away." Mango said with a roll of his eyes. Midna gave a watery chuckle as she extracted herself from his embrace, though she did still hold his hand. Flashing her best friend since childhood a smile that could warm the coldest of hearts she kissed his cheek gently.

"Thanks Yogurt-Boy. Now come on let's go find Blane," That entire night was spent with fun, laughter and cheer and no one, not a soul at that Carnival had ever felt better. And congratulating herself for the idea, Paranoia sat as proud and as smug as a Queen in her court, just as her King came by and swept her off her feet and they lived happily, ever after.
"PARANOIA!!"Or maybe not, when Midna found out when the Wedding actually was...

Baby Midna Part I: Meetings over Mangoes

It was with pride and joy that the young first time parents strolled through the park with their daughter tucked safely in her mother's pouch. No one else could be prouder than they, they thought, for they had a beautiful, healthy daughter who seemed to enjoy life and was truly a happy baby. Said baby was currently bouncing happily in her mother's pouch, chirping as she gazed around at the outside world with wide eyes for the first time. This, my friends, was Midna and this was the day she was setting off with her parents to the playground and to hopefully make a new friend.

Everything was just so bright though, and so strange! But that was okay with her, because that just meant there'd be fun things to explaore! The dark furred JBD made a light chirp of pleasure when her mother's muzzle brushed against her face.

"Mrrr...Mommy, we has ta go to da playground!" She squealed while her parents chuckled. Midna was especially excited today and hoped to meet all the other JBD's there and perhaps meet her first best friend. The thought made her purr happily as they finally got to the playground. The sounds of squeals, chirps, yips, screams and yips were what alerted the little one to the fact that they had arrived, as well as the fact that her mother had reached in and gently grabbing her by the scruff set her down on the grass.

"Now then, Midna dear remember what we said earlier. Be nice, be fair and have fun okay?" Midna smiled widely and nodded. Sharing a glance with her mate, Midna's mother gave her little girl a warm, proud smile before letting the little one free to join the other little munchkins. It was with a squeal and a yip that young Midna ran at full speed towards the others all gathered around. Everything was just so noisy compared to her home and she loved it! Tail wagging she looked around for someone to play with. There were at least 12 JBD kids around, but there were two that really caught Midna's eye which were in the sandbox. One was a brightly colored yellowy-orange male with green ears, stripes, some blue on his back and tail while across from him a dark furred female JBD with red, grey and blue-grey markings who looked a little older than she, sat sniffing at something in the sand The bright one seemed upset and was seemingly yelling at the dark one, but the female didn't seem to care. Either that or maybe she couldn't hear him.

"Give it back!" The male whined but the dark one wasn't even giving him a single glance as she continued sniffing at the sand for a moment before she used her paws and started digging and the poor bright JBD soon had sand in his fur. "UGH!"

Midna watched as the male got up from the sandbox and stormed away with tears in his eyes, looking mad. The female however kept on digging, oblivious to the absence of the male as she continued her digging. Midna frowned confusedly but decided to go check out what the dark one was doing. Careful to avoid getting sand stuck in her fur, she moved to the side and peered into the hole the slightly older Jelly Bean had made.

"Uh hello? Anyone down there?" An instant after she said that the female's head popped up from the hole and the movement startled Midna so much she fell backwards out of the sandbox. The dark female looked at her then, whens he heard the sound and rushed over to the side. "Oh hehe! Hello! I didn't see you there." The female murmured before helping Midna to her paws. There was something odd about her though, and Midna couldn't put her paw on it but she decided not to worry about that now. Instead she focused on getting to know this new person.

Re: JBD 28 (Re-Vamp!)

Postby Galaxy❄ » Sun Sep 30, 2012 1:06 pm

Name:
Nightingale

I named her Nightingale because she looks like a Nightingale to me. The name sounded like it fit her will enought to be used. Nightingale is a small bird. They are brown and have white chest feathers.

Nick name:
Night
Gale

Super embarrassing nick name:
Nightingirl

"My name is Nightingale! Not Nightingirl!!"

Nightingale hates being called Nightingirl. It racks her nerves so much it makes her want to punch someone or somethings. Don't think she's evil because she isn't!

Gender:
Female

Tell us about when she was mistaken for a guy:
It was sunny afternoon. She was walking atop the icy sidewalks of the Alaskan town. Nightingale lived in an ally way at the time. (More explained in her history) She lay down near the dumpster. She closed her eyes.
Soon she heard a clink as a small plate was set down near her. Nightingale opened her eyes and lifted her head. She looked at a boy squatting next to the bowl putting something in it. She stalked up to him and the bowl. Nightingale instantly thought the boy was going to show her away. But he made no move to do so.
"Here you go, boy," the boy said. Nightingale heard boy. She backed away and hissed. She then raced forward and bit the boys leg. It was then that he realized that Nightingale was a female. Nightingale hadn't bitten hard to enough to leave a mark. He scrambled back from her a few feet. "I'm sorry!" He said with a trembling voice, "You have ruffled fur and male markings, I thought you were a male!" The boy stood and ran away, almost tripping a few times. Nightingale huffed and walked back behind the dumpster after she finished whatever was in the bowl.

Interesting.... What her most ridiculous fear:
Night's most ridiculous fear are waffles. She hates them. First time Nightingale tried waffles they stuck to her fur. She used a fork, her paws and her mouth to try and get them off. It took two showers to get all the syrup and waffles off her fur.

Waffles, Why does she hate them?:
Night hates waffles because they stick to her fur. As explained above, they always stick to her fur and cause her to take horrible showers. She would rather clean herself the natural way than feel water running down her back.

When she was three she lost something important to her, What was it, what happened?:
When Nightingale was three she lost a trinket that her short time owner gave to her. This trinket was none other than just a regular ol' toy. It was a little miniature, glass cat figure. That glass figuring meant everything to Nightingale when she got it from Honey, her owner until she ran away. Nightingale always kept it with her. She fought many fights for it.

She's now kind of a rebel teen...Why might that be?
Nightingale was always against her parents. She thought of them as always getting in the way of her time. She always though of herself as Bi when her parents wanted a straight daughter.

She love silver, but she's rather poor how does she end up getting it?
Night gets the silver by hard work and many sweaty days. She works in the freezing cold just get a small sliver of silver. She looks through dead mines and digs through the snow. She digs deep into the ground. Nightingale digs deeper and deeper everyday. She often finds fairly small pieces of silver. She constantly goes into abandoned mines and searches high and low for silver.

Why is she poor?
Nightingale was born into a rich family, yes. (Way more will be explained in History) But as she grew, her family went mad with power. They spent all their money on things they didn't need. Nightingale and her family lived on the streets. She had nothing. But she didn't care. Nightingale lived and traveled on her own after her family went out. She never spoke to her parents for she never knew them. Her family went mad shortly after she had hatched from her black jellybean like egg.

What jewelry does she have?
Nightingale made her jewelry out of the silver she had found. She made herself a necklace with a bright green emerald she found in an abandoned mine. She used two looped pieces of silver for earrings. Nightingale made a bracelate out of a third larger hoop.

What traumatic experience as a kid made her afraid of Crickets:
Night always disliked crickets. But she never truly hated them. She did pick them up and collect them in a jar. Night became afraid of crickets when she was sleeping. Her jar of crickets were left in her den. She had a large rock blocking the entrance so as not to let the snow and cold into her den. She used an old found animal skin to keep warm at night. Another animal that lived in the den along with her came out only at night. It knocked over her jar of crickets. Then it slipped out the den. When Night awoke she screamed, for crickets were all over her. She kicked her blanket off her. But crickets still clung to her fur.

She likes the cold, Why?
Nightingale always liked the cold. She lives in it and hunts in it. She lived in a cave that was far from any Twoleg nest. She was used to the cold as she lived in it for a long time.

How'd she get those scars?
Nightingale got her scars when she was attacked by a "monster" (Monster being a car). She traveled through harsh lands and deserts to get to where she is now. Though she's only crossed three Thunderpaths. The last Thunderpath she crossed was when she was "attacked". She was crossing the road when the monster sped after her. It hit her with the impact of a thousand. She rolled off to the side of the road. Blood ran down from large scars across her snout.

History
A thin stream of light shone through a small shell. Voices came through the thin shell to Nightingale's ears. There was a jerk as her egg was picked up. She gave a small mew as she felt the egg slam against something. A loud roar filled her ears....

Nightingale scratched at her shell. She kept kicking and kicking. Soon a hole appeared in the shell. She used her head to make it bigger. As she popped her head outside the dark shell she realized it was warmer than before. She crawled outside the egg. The ground was soft. Footsteps came to Night's ears. She instincivly dropped to her knees. A human girl appeared around the corner. She stopped dead in her steps. The girl sqeauled in delight. "Nightingale!" She screamed. "Nightingale has hatched, Mom, Dad!"
Two adults ran into the room behind the little girl. "Honey, she's beautiful," The dad said. Honey smiled brightly. Then she walked to an un-hatched orange egg. She picked the egg up and stared at it. "We've had this egg for over a month, dad. I don't think its going to hatch." Just then the orange egg began to crack. A small hole apeared. Then an orange-ish yellow head popped out. Its eyes were a light green. "Mango..." The girl whispered.
Mango let out a loud squeal. His green eyes shown that he was hungry. Nightingale then realized she was hungry as well when her stomach growled. Honey put Mango down next to Nightingale and ran to get something for them to drink. Mango looked up at the dark jellybean dragon. "H-hello. My name is M-Mango. What is your's?" He stammered. "Nightingale." She said. Mango smiled and nodded. Nightingale didn't smile. She wasn't shy around him, She just didn't really want to be here. It was light. She wanted to be in the dark.
Nightingale lapped up the cool, sweet milk. She thought it tasted good, like mother's milk. She had never even see her mother. Nightingale soon finished lapping the milk. She then looked at the soft, cozy bed laying next to the fire-burning wood. She began walking towards it. But then a large brown boot stopped her. She stopped suddenly before she ran into it. She looked up at the man with a sour expression on her face. You dare block my way, man? Nightingale thought furiously. She sheathed and unsheathed her claws. The black and baby blue Jellybean Dragon turned and walked towards the couch. She jumped atop it and looked out the clear glass force field behind it. Many scents came to her nose as she sniffed the force field. "That's glass, Nightingale," Honey's voice interrupted her thoughts. Glass, She repeated in thought.
Nightingale sat on the couch. Honey had made a little fort out of huge throne pillows. That is where Nightingale lay. She has her tail tucked neatly over her front paws. She kept her eyes closed as a thin blanket was draped over the fort, blocking the entrance.
Nightingale soon fell asleep again. As she slept she dreamed.
Nightingale stood on a small slope. She looked over the dark snow covered ground. She pawed the ground. A small moan came from beside her. She looked over and saw the little orange and blue Jellybean dragon she had been born with. Though she knew they were born from different parents. Mango looked up at Nightingale with a smile. She gave a small smile and a nod towards him. She bounded off the slope. Mango followed close at her heels.
Nightingale woke as something hit her head. She opened her eyes and saw a fluffy tail draped over her face. The black and blue jellybean dragon thrust the tail away. She realized it had been Mango's tail. Nightingale stood and jumped from the couch and to a door that smelt of Honey. She pushed the door open softly with her muzzle. Honey was sleeping soundlessly. Nightingale let out a small sigh of relief.
Nightingale walked towards the door. It was shut and there was no way of opening it besides turning that golden knob. She put her front paws on the door and bit the knob, trying to turn it. "What are you doing, Nightingale?" Came a familiar voice behind her. She looked down at where the voice came from. She saw Mango standing there rubbing his eyes sleepily.
"I'm going away, Mango. Go back to sleep." She hissed quietly.
"No! I want to go with you, Night!" He whispered.
Nightingale soon got the knob to finally turn. "There!" She fell back on all four paws.
"I want to go with you, Nightingale," Mango repeated.
"Fine, but you must listen to me!"
Mango nodded and followed Nightingale outside the door. She closed the door silently behind her. A blast of win ruffled her's and Mango's fur. Snow began falling roughly. Oh no! Though Nightingale. Thunder crashed in the near distance. Mango huddled next to her, scared. Nightingale nudged him to his feet. She lead him through the strengthening snow storm. She lead them to a small, stone cave. As she walked in a hiss emerged from the depths. A large snake showed its head and hissed at Nightingale Mango before slithering out of the den and into the storm. Nightingale looked confused at the large snake. She shook her head and walked into the den with Mango following.
They lay in the den. Nightingale lye in the farthest back part of the den while Mango stood by the entrance watching the storm.

Nightingale woke with a start. She looked around the den. She saw Mango sleeping close by. She stood quietly and walked past him towards the entrance. She saw something bright. Soon her eyes adjusted and she saw a land covered in snow. Sparkling snow covered the ground. Mango came up beside her and sat next to her. This was just like in her dream! They were sitting on a slope staring at all the snow surrounding them.
She bounded from the slope, Mango at her heels. She skidded to a halt as snow flew everywhere. Mango slid into her backside, knocking Nightingale forwards. They both laughed at the little mishap. Nightingale stood soon after Mango sat up. Nightingale began walking off randomly away from where the morning sun was rising. Mango fallowed her. He wished he were bigger. Big like her. But Nightingale almost towered above little orange scrap.
Mango quickly shook the thought away. He followed Nightingale. "Where are we going, Night?"
"What did you call me?" Nightingale stopped and turned her head towards Mango.
"I-I called you Night. Just a nickname. Is it okay to call you that? If not then I'll go back to calling you Nightingale. I'm sorry," Mango shrank into a tiny orange dot compared to Nightingale.
"Oh. Well, I don't care if you call me that. Call me Gale, Night or Nightingale," Night nodded her head. Mango grew back to his normal size and smiled.
"Then I'll stick with calling you Night!" He blurted happily. Night smiled and started running in the same direction she was walking. Mango stretch his small stubby legs trying to keep up with Night.

After a while, a large city came into view. "Look! A city up ahead!" Mango barked.
Nightingale nodded and began galloping towards the city.

It had taken until sun-high to reach the city, but Nightingale and Mango finally made it to the large city's perimeter. Both Mango and Nightingale crossed the bouderies and walked, unknowingly, into an ally-way between two large buildings.
Night walked to a large dumpster and sat there. Mango sat next to her. He looked up at Nightingale with a large smile on his muzzle. Night laughed as she put her black and baby blue paw atop his head. "Stay here, Mango. I'm gonna go look for something to eat," Night stood and left Mango behind. She walked towards the side walk.

She lay down near the dumpster with Mango sleeping next to her.
Mango sat there near the dumpster. Night decided to bring whatever she hadn't finished over to Mango. He gulped it down hungrily.

This is how Night and Mango lived for years. All until they met the perfect one.

A girl walked around the corner only to find two sleeping bodies. She walked up to them. The darker one she put her hand on.
Night lifted her head and looked into the girl's eyes. She could see fear and happiness inside the two blue shining eyes. Night let out out a small bark from deep inside her throat. Mango next to her stirred. He lifted his head. He then jumped to his feet, his fur beginning to bristle. "Calm down, Mango tree!" Night growled. She stood up with her body blocking Mango. She stared into the girl's eyes. The girl crept closer one step at a time. She was soon close enough to lay a small, delicate finger atop Night's head. She shrank under the girl's soft touch. Night hadn't felt the touch of a human hand in what seemed like ages to her. The girl stood and skipped away with a soft smile on her face. Night followed on light paws. Mango was at her heels. Night knew that soon she and Mango would part ways. She was about the size of one of them black and tan dogs (German shepard) she had seen walking around. Mango was only the size of an over-sized ally cat.

Night lived with the girl, whom should be me. Mango went to live with another girl whom is a good friend. Night and Mango still see each other from time to time.

Personality;;
Nightingale is known for being reserved and kept to herself. She hates meeting new people. Nightingale's favourite pass time is hunting for vegetables and searching for maybe some stray bugs. She often has to steal vegetables from towns. She is sometimes shy. Mango on the other hand always wants to be by Nightingale's side. Nightingale never mind having Mango with her. She never felt truly loved. She always felt left out and neglected for she was hardly ever fed except for breakfast and an occasional lunch or dinner.
