Fairwell Chickensmoothie! It was a good run.
If there is anyone who I unfortunately left any loose ends open with when I originally disappeared from the site near the end of 2012, you're welcome to drop a PM if you'd like to try to resolve them. It has admittedly been far too many years for me to remember precisely what all may have been left unsettled.
In addition, if anyone sees this and would like to try to reestablish contact, you're more than welcome to drop me a message as well. I'll try to poke my head in over the next few months at the least in case any of the above happens, but cannot guarantee how often messages will be checked after that.
Best Regards,
HOWLING

So I used to love skateboarding, right? I loved trick skating. It was so, so fun! I was always very cautious, though. Always wore a helmet. I bet you'll say 'Oh, that's good!' But the helmet couldn't do anything for this accident.
I was riding down rails, as usual, when I thought it'd be fun to try and flip the board up after coming off the rail. I was so sure I could do it, and it seemed like a harmless trick. So I tried it.
The adrenaline going down the ramp was amazingly powerful. I was gripped with excitement at staying balanced on this narrow beam that was the only thing between me and the ground. I got to the end of the rail, jumped off, and kicked the back of the board down, resulting in the front end coming up. But I was too slow to kick, and I had overshot it. I came down hard, and the end of the board was shoved straight into my eyes.
I screamed with pain, but I had no one around to hear me. So, without seeing, I managed to crawl up the steps again. It felt as though my eyes were on fire, and I just sat in a corner of the hidden, overgrown plaza I practiced in.
I took a rest, and it felt as if I had sat there for so long, the vines had started to grow around me. I heard rustling in one of the bushes. I tried to open my eyes, but when I did, warmth flooded down my cheeks, and I wasn't sure if it was blood or tears.
"Arthur? Are you here?" I heard a familiar voice call my name.
"Wilee? Wilee, I'm over here!" I called back. So it turns out the fawn had come to look for me. I heard Wilee's hooves on the concrete, and I heard him gasp.
"Arthur, you look terrible." He said solemnly.
"Wilee, I--I think I'm blind." I whispered.
