I'm just gonna leave a note here so you guys don't get all confused; I've changed username from PaperRainbow to Reikistjarna.
Mostly because I feel like I need to leave PaperRainbow behind due to personal reasons.
You can call me Reiki or Rei from now on instead, I'm also going to figure out another way to sign my adoptables from now on, hm.

Bright Darkness

He was born into a herd of unknown deer, in the pitch black part of the woods- where almost no one dares to wander. His coat was the deepest black you could see, deeper black than the other deer in his herd.

For this reason he was prized by the others. Thought to be a spiritual gift from the dark spirits, the other deer cared for him well and brought him extra attention, to be sure he would grow to be the best of them.

Now, these dark deer were known for their wicked ways and black magic. When one of them became a wonderful witch or demon-possessed, that deer would develop black, fizzing spots on their hide. The spots were believed to be pure demonic spirits sent to the deer as a reward for success.

Every deer savagely craved for this pleasure of carrying the black signs of the real darkness. The deer furiously created black magic and casted spells upon anyone who dared to enter there lair of the forest. It was an unspoken rule to never enter the dark dooms, as many innocent animals became evil or killed throughout these experiments.

Back to Bright Darkness, our main character in this inspiring story. He was born very dark and treated with respect and honor. As he grew older, he became darker and grew magnificent antlers, grayer than anyone else's. He walked with pride among the other deer, and the community had immediately welcomed him. In return, the stag was gentle and kind to the rest of the deer.

One day, as Bright Darkness marched peacefully in the tall dark grass, separating the border between darkness and the rest of the world, he looked out into the distance to see a beautiful doe grazing in the grass. He watched this doe, wondering the differences between his and her world. The doe was gorgeous, a lovely sparkling golden color with an aurora and light shining from her coat. The grass on which she fed on was the faded, gentle green of spring and the hooves on which she gallantly sprung were the lightest of tan. This doe's beauty and grace were considered a gift in their world.

Bright Darkness rustled in the tall grass and the doe looked up to see the stag in all of his evil beauty. The doe tentatively stepped forward and the two touched noses right above the line of the Great Separation between their worlds.

Secretly the two deer met, getting to know their worlds and each other. The customs were shared and the light healing medicines and black magic. Each deer would quietly use these new idea in their community without saying a word about the other deer and their secret meetings.

After a few months of meeting, the stag Bright Darkness decided to let the rest of his herd know about the bright world outside of their dark center. The other deer refused and immediately fell upon him, thrashing and stabbing him with their antlers. To the doe, the bright deer came upon her, threatening to send her away if such dark magic was released into their world.

Limping, the two deer met again at the border, this time stepping across the line into the territory of the other deer. The luscious ground was soft and comforting to the stag's hooves and immediately his bruises were healed through a powerful magic within the Earth. The doe's hooves felt the stone cold heartbeat of the dark deer as she stepped over the border. Her bruises and stab wounds healed instantly, and with a shudder her white aurora of light changed to black. As she gazed to Bright Darkness, his renown dark sparkling spots turned a bright white color. The nerves of the deer connected within the Earth's core and they knew what to do.

The stag, Bright Darkness escorted the doe down into his world, showing her the darkness about them and eminent beauty of the magic. He introduced the doe and told the deer of the darkness of the tale, of what happened to them before and after telling them. The dark deer nodded solemnly, slowly walking to the border with the doe and Bright Darkness and then halting. The doe showed Bright Darkness her heavenly world, the bright plants and kind and gentle animals who helped the injured and weak. She explained to the bright deer her account of the story and the bright deer walked to the border with the two deer.

Bright Darkness and the doe led their herds to the opposite side of the forest, where their herds had not been. The dark deer's dark spots turns a faded white, not as bright as Bright Darkness's spots. The white deer's aurora of light turned to a grey color, but not as dark as the doe's. The deer examined their new qualities, weary of the light and dark.

Bright Darkness had brought the two herds together. He taught them to live in peace among each other, and respect their practices, both light and dark. He inspired them to teach and to learn and to aid and guide each other through times of torment, times of despair, and celebrate in times of happiness. Most of all, he became their leader, someone to look up to and someone to come for wisdom and advice. Now, Bright Darkness roams the lands, bright and dark in pride of their new culture and new sense of security and peace with themselves and each other.

The Reason Behind This
In total, my username is Rated R and I would like to have this stag, whom I would call Bright Darkness. His story is inspired from how I wish the world to be, how I wish for one culture and another to learn and to teach. I wish for a peaceful world, where everyone can live hand in hand and care for each other and the rest of nature- no matter what race, what color, what religion, what animal, or what country. We are all human beings who live in such a beautiful world and we must work to support each other and stop unnecessary deaths. We must protect the vulnerable and stop the damaging. We owe nature to care for her animals and aid them like they were one of us. We must live together among ourselves and among animals and among nature as one. Thank you.

Why I MUST have him: I have been stalking this thread for a very long time (yes, I'm a thread stalker XD) and I have been waiting. Waiting for the perfect deer to come along...and it hasn't been easy. I saw a lot of deer that called out to me, but this one...sang to me <3 He's just so perfect in everyway, it makes me cry!!! It would mean the world if I recieved him <3

the most pacifist creatures

Story:
Orion had been sleeping in his grassy hollow, when he heard the bellows of the guards, warning everyone in camp of an approaching enemy. He scrambled to his feet, panting. He had just woken up from a dream, of the Blazehorns coming and destroying their home with fire, Starfurs running, terror in their eyes as they realized they were surrounded....he shuddered. He hated having these prophetic dreams. Every deer of Starfur Vale has a power of some sorts. For most, it's having the ability to revive dead plants, or be able to freeze things, but he had a special gift. He could see into the future. It wasn't always clear, never straightforward. Instead of just seeing a vision, Orion would see a terrible even in which they could avoid. He thought it was a burden. Also, he had a second trait, a more common trait, being able to soothe even the wildest and angriest souls. Stumbling forward, still groggy with sleep, he walked to the willow in which his father stayed. He bowed his head respectfully "Father."
the old deer in the tent turned. Instead of having a multitude of stars like most Starfurs, his father had a bright, unearthly supernova spreading across his pelt, showing his age and wisdom. It made Orion feel tiny in comparison, with his multicolored dots of stars. "Son." he said warmly "What is it?" his father's power was being a powerful leader. Orion lifted his head "The guards have sounded the alarm, the Blazehorns are approaching." he said quietly "I need your advice." Saggitarius(his father) stood, smiling "Son, you know what to do. Try to talk sense into them. You know you can. But just in case...bring Hercules with you." Orion nodded "Yes Father." he strode out from under the willow, and called for his older brother. They were so opposite....Orion wanted peace, Hercules loved war. He was delicate, Hercules was built like an ox and just as tough. "Hercules?" hecalled quietly, and winced as he heard branches snap and leaves crumble. Starfurs got up in annoyance, yawning, padding over and healing the bent bushes with their powers. Hercules bounded up to Orion, locking horns with him, and shaking him jovially "Hey, O, what'sup?" he said, grining. Orion was dizzy from getting shook around "Um-- I was wondering if you would come with me. Now. The Blazehorns may be attacking, and--"
"What?!" he reared up "Have no fear, little brother, I'll protect the Starfurs! Why, I'll get them all with one blow of my hoof--"
"Yes, that's wonderful, Hercules." Orion said, getting frustrated 'But they may only be here for diplomatic matters. You're here for protection." he said scornfully, but softened when he saw how crestfallen his brother was. "If they attack, you can get the first charge." he said, trying to cheer him up. Hercules perked up, eyes bright "Don't worry, little brother." he said, puffing up his chest. 'I won't let you down."
Orion nodded, and trotted out of the vale, into the open field of the plains. A line of Blazehorns waited, their antlers glowing faintly with a warm light. Across from them, a group of Starfurs had assembled, their pelts blazing bright. Orion took a step forward, and they parted for him like water, Hercules following behind him. A tall, imposing male stepped forward from the Blazes, horn awash with pale, crackling flames. Orion knew how long it took for a Blazehorn to master their fire, and he bowed his head respectfully. "Blazehorn." he said crisply "What business do you have with us?" the Blazehorn nodded back "My name is Ceralorn. We have found reason to believe that you have taken one of our foals." Orion tried to not rear back in suprise. "Well, this is a rather unfortunate turn of events." he said coolly, trying to suppress his shock "Why do you believe in this? The Starfurs are a peaceful species; We wish no harm upon you." The Blazehorn narrowed his eyes "Is that so. Then what's...this?" he walked forward to the bushes at the edge of the forest, and plucked something from a low branch with his teeth. It was a patch of auburn fur, obviously Blazehorn. Some of the deer's eyes grew wide, and disquited murmurs spread through the heard. Orion saw a flicker of movement out of the corner of his eyes, and a little Blazehorn crept to the back of the crowd, it's fur mysteriously patchy...Orion narrowed his eyes. "Would you mind, Ceralorn, if I talk to that little foal back there? Ceralorn's eyes widened a bit, but he kept a calm face. "Why not." he said coolly. Orion walked forward, trying to keep his steps from wavering, and the Blazehorns parted from him,their antlers sparking slightly as he passed them. The little buck stood in front of him, trembling on unsteady hooves.WIPWIPWIP

Aw, he's so darn beautiful. I'd try out, but I will be without internet access until Sunday so I'd miss the judgings.

Eek! You made a Dusk deer! If you can remember (way way back) when I adopted Flei, my starry doe, I mentioned about getting a custom buck personified as Dusk to be her consort... And you made him already! Here's a link to her story as they will be partner stories. Thanks for this opportunity Rea!

I apologize for suddenly going quiet here again, been through a lot these last couple of weeks so I haven't remembered/had time for this. ; ;
I promise you though that I'll announce a winner of the star buck later today or tomorrow, also working on one or two halloween deer for a small competition to give this thread some more life again.

Also, keep your eyes open for possible open custom slots these next few days. c:
