Favorite Past Time(short story):

I approached the wide array of points, needles, daggers, and sharp edges with little caution, a smile upon my face. I touched my nose to each needle and spine, feeling the firmness and strength of each. I was at my cactus garden, performing daily maintenance. While most people dislike the small pointy plants, they have always fascinated me. I enjoy watching them grow, and my mango goop seems to help. Daily, I check the strength of the needles, make sure none of the cactus are weak or sick, and pick any ripe fruits/remove old blossoms. Every two days I give them some goop, and every 5 I give the a spoonful of water. My biggest cactus is about 5.9 feet tall, and it's my pride and joy. My smallest (and newest) member of the cactus family is only about 3 inches tall.
