Fact:
Tigers will mate throughout the year, but most frequently between the end of November to early April. After a gestation of 103 days a litter of up to 7 cubs, although averaging 3, is born.

Fact: Tigers were once common on the island of Singapore, where they were said to have swam over the strait from the Malay Peninsula (that's some swimming - the strait is big enough to serve international shipping 0.0). But the big cats eventually went extinct there due to hunting from colonists and urban development.
