OtherWhat song best fits this character? Story:The brilliant stars glimmered as the cool breeze flowed through the willow trees' leaves and the grass danced along.
The wind swept small waves across the pond, which scattered the moon's yellow reflection.
"It's like another moon in the water," a large, black and white horse though as he gazed at the flickering reflection. The horse had a brilliant marking on his shoulder of a dragon skeleton, which was the marking of the Dragonharl family line. It was sought out for, yet cursed. Every owner of the so called "tattoo", had become immortal in some way or another. Yet the imortality came with a price. The price differed, depending on the owner, but it was generally something that the owner valued and cherised deeply. But this owner, Lord Dragonbane,
despised the immortality, and wished it gone. He had lost many horses and followers as his price, which also scorched his lands and forced him to leave his lands and surviving members to start over. His price was known as the Fire.
---------------------------------------------------Past Travel------------------------------------------------
The stars twinkled in the brilliant moonlight, caressing the faint glow that was given off by the moon.
A'Injukali...The lone stallion gazed at the moon, recalling the sweet, melodic voice of his love as he was muttering her name.
The moon reminded him of her, as her name meant Child of the Moon.
Bane missed his herd already, but as being the lead stallion, he knew his role.
Once every month, the lead stallion from every herd must go to The Counsel, a group of the wisest and strongest horses in all the land. There, the lead stallions debate and discuss the news going on in their herd, and to discuss any danger or coming trouble.
The trip to the Counsel took a few hours at a smooth galloping pace, but Bane always set off early, just so he could take a trip to his birthplace, a small pond surrounded by willow trees.
This month, the word spread of a wildfire warning, as it was mid July, and the heat was drying everything in sight. Even the once luscious grass turned a sulky brown as the harsh rays gave no mercy. Bane knew the danger of leaving his herd alone during such a vulnerable time, but he knew there was no escaping the meetings. He rushed to the meetings, and spent less time at his pond then he usually took, but alas he was still too late.
The meeting was rushed, as everyone knew of the upcoming danger that could be lurking around every corner. Bane raced home, as fast as his aching hooves would carry him, and often tripped due to his rushing pace. As soon as he had arrived in his territory, however, he felt something was wrong. His pace quickened even more, and as he drew near, he saw a flicker in the night, with an orange glow drowning out the moonlight.
He froze, his hooves stuck fast on the dry ground as he watched in fear. The flames danced across his face, as if dancing in tune to the winds calm breeze.
He reared up and sped towards his fleeing herd, which were small little shadows racing away from the beautiful but dangerous flames. He called and called as long as he could, searching for his beloved. But his only response was the fire, crackling in the night, scorching the lead stallion's precious lands, leaving him with nothing but burnt grass and the faded scent of his herd members' fear.
After hours of searching through the now blackened forest, he gave up.
He hung his head low, and laid down for the night, now realizing that his payment has been taken.
