rosso loves adventures. although he isn't as athletic as in his youth, he still manages to get out there and explore. however, he is a good deal tamer now, and likes the comfort of a nice cozy house. he is also imaginative, and loves to tell stories about his youth to the foolish young ones who could use a little guidance, in his opinion.
although adventurous, rosso isn't very bold, or even clever. although he has plenty of experience and street-smarts, he's no mathematician. he takes lots of caution when he's off adventuring, although it frustrates him not being able to do everything he once could do so he doesn't break his bones.
rosso can be very humorous. for this reason, the young ones like to be around him, rather than throwing rocks at him and calling him names.
however, he tolerates no nonsense. if he sees any young ones being foolish and being unkind he'll give them a piece of his mind. being the size he is, this is usually effective.

history;

he is of chinese descent, thus his markings that resemble a red panda's. however, he was adopted into his new family in the southern usa.
rosso's parents were strict disciplinarians, who made him dot his is and cross his ts. when he was a young one, he sometimes despised them, as he was a mischief-maker and suffered some awful punishments. however, he knows that it was all to his benefit, and is grateful. they were also travelers, and named rosso an italian name because it was always their dream to go to italy.
rosso was a very scrawny young one, and sometimes was picked on for his size. however, as soon as he hit his growth spurt this stopped very quickly. he didn't encounter much of this bullying since he grew up on a farm, and spent most of his day working the fields, not mingling. he had always yearned to meet more jbds and explore the world. he hated being confined to a farm.
rosso left home with good wishes fairly young, at seventeen. he traveled all over, and had many of adventures, too many to name.

Panda is a JBD who likes to strut his stuff. He stands out in the crowd, and isn't shy to tell his true feelings. Though Panda loves to be the center of attention, he is true to his heart. He never lie's, and tries his hardest to make sure everyone is happy. Panda gets the feeling of guilt a lot, after being with his friends, since he's always bragging. But he can't help himself, he thrives for attention. Panda loves to explore, he's a very courious boy, and enjoys taking long hikes in the woods. Panda is almost always seen with his friends. He really loves them, and always tries to satisfy them. Overall, Panda enjoys standing out, but also being true to his friends and family.

"Shall I tell a story for you? I have a long past, and it's dreadfully dry. So today, instead, I'll tell you a story about a JBD similar to me.
Her name was Aimaleene. She was frightfully beautifully, with a light dusting of orange on her alabaster shoulders and the purest of greens for those piercing eyes. She was a sight, certainly. You would think she's gentle and caring, no? Well, unfortunately, she was not. She was my apprentice, and if she was one thing, it was certainly not humble. She prided herself in her talents and she always tried to achieve greater. Constantly sticking her nose into trouble and taunting the devil. I feared two things. Whether she would die of her own curiosity, or if I would throttle her myself. I swear I bowed my head in apology more than a hundred times for that child. Not once did she ever thank me.
But you want to know something? She proved to be one of my greatest students. To this day, she goes around the world helping for those that ask for it. You might call her a merchant, or a mercenary. Other's might say a wanderer, or guardian. I know the truth though. She's my student, and quite a brilliant one at that."
