Up in the stars is bright
with the moons shining light
cascading down to earth
where hoofs dig into her turf

Rocking through the land
to the desert sand of home
burned by the sun's unforgiving light
is where the moonshine finds her home

Fleeing by night, peace by day
no time to lay
her piercing green eyes gaze away
there is no time to stay

The black cloaked thieve was many of names
always the same of Moonshine

Thrashing winds erode the soil
making the climate boil
the climate drops at night,
is where the moonshine finds her home

she is a desert appaloosa mustang
built hardy and tough

Not a ghost of white in her dark grace,
One winter day she looked at the sky, her eyes clear,
As the snowflakes fell around her as she stood in that place.

Her weary heart leapt at the sight of those things,
Those white silken bits of gentle white snow,
She danced among them as if she had wings,
Her heart so happy and her eyes aglow.

As the snowflakes fell on her they colored the place,
Where they fell on her coat which was once dark as night,
They gave her blackness so much beauty and grace,
And as she danced and glowed it was a magical sight.

I can't run forever,
