Name:
Australia, but most don't know his real name; they know him as Austi ^^ He has also gained the affectionate nick-name Mud/Muddy by some of his closest friends (: Due to his coat colors and pattern of course...and his love of mud XD
Gender:
I saw him from the beginning as a male :3
Personality:
A quiet and modest gentleman sums it up pretty well :3 BUT, I feel like really going into detail right now X3 So here goes ^^
Austi, like I said before, can be described pretty well as quiet and modest, but there's a ton more to the lil' guy than that :3 Austi is in fact quiet and one WOI, even thought that Austi couldn't speak at all! This is kind of true, because as a pup it took him a lot longer time to begin talking than even his younger brother. I guess to make up for that, Austi began walking and other movements/feats often found difficult in even an experienced wolf, but at a much younger age.
Austi is also incredibly modest. He really is quite the classic gentleman :3 But quite a shy gentleman at that ;3 But, honestly, Austi is always polite, courteous, and kind, as a gentleman should be. His own father described him as weak, useless, and basically worthless just because of his gentle and loving personality ): His mother, however, loved him always, and was proud of him no matter what! So, as you could probably guess, he turned out to be quite the momma's boy X3 But honestly, Austi is no wimp!
Story:
--Puphood Memories--
"Mama, mama, why does Daddy not like me.....?" I wondered, my watering eyes staring up at my mother. I curled into the fur on her belly and hid my face.
"Shh, shhh, I'm sure he loves you more than you know," she replied, turning away from me. Even we both knew he didn't. My dad had always been....proud. Very proud. And when I refused to kill innocent animals just for the fun of it, I "damaged his pride" as he put it. Therefore, he assumed I was worthless.
My brother, Obi, was an entirely different story. My father loved him. Obi would kill bunnies and other burrowing animals for him, tackle the other pups in play fights, and he wasn't a clumsy idiot like I was, in my father's eyes. Despite this, my brother and I never had any resentment towards each other. Actually, Obi was usually on my side. We would play wrestle, and I would lose of course, but we had fun. We would laugh and talk, until my father called Obi away. Obi was always reluctant to go, and confided in me once that he didn't always enjoy the way in which our dad always pushed him to be the best of the best. Sometimes I even felt a little sorry for Obi. I saw the look in his eyes whenever my father was around.
My mom, though, was always there for me. I guess I was what some would call, a "mamma's boy!" But the only reason I was so incredibly close with her is because my dad pushed me away. She taught me how to compromise, which I have found to come quite in handy, as I hate to resort to violence. She just supported me in everything I did, and I now thank her for what I am today. I guess I can thank my father for that, too, because he did make me stronger.
Everything changed, though, a few days later. For the worse.
--Disappearance--
The day started out normal. My dad took Obi out on one ofthe never ending training sessions, leaving me and my mom in the den alone. I yawned; my my mother sighed. There wasn't really much to do without lively little Obi around here.
"Right now would be a good time to rest, Austi,'' my mother said softly, nuzzling me.
"Yeah, I guess..." I replied, acting as if I didn't really care. But, I really was tired, and I was half asleep already. I curled up against her side and closed my eyes, almost asleep......
Just then, an eerily familar howl split the silence in the distance. It was pretty far off, seemingly close to the evil Kronadors territory. We lived pretty close to them, but they don't know it. We are the only wolves out here; my father left the main pack led by Rayo and all them to start his own. Then we heard a series of high pitched, frantic yelps. Haven't I heard that somewhere before? Oh well, I justneed to sleep....Wai! I know why that sounds so familar-Obi and my dad! They were out near the Kronador's territory...that could only mean one thing....they were is serious trouble.
My mother realized it too. She quickly jumped up, sending me hurtling into the wall on the other side of the cave. As I picked myself up, she told me,"Austi, stay here. I have to go see what's going on. No matter what, don't leave the den. I'll be back...soon..." And with that, she fled the den, leaving me alone. By now, adrenaline was pumping through my little body, and I was in no mood to go back to sleep. Even so, I felt reasonably safe, since those big clumsy Kronadors were too big to fit in here. Still...I'd rather not have been in the situation at all.
It was just about nighttime, which would last quite a while. So, I waited. And waited. And waited, until it was the next day. Then I waited some more....
Of course, by now the adrenaline was mostly worn off, and I started to feel weak and very hungry. It was night again, and there was still no sign of my family. I whimpered softly to mysely, a whiny and pitiful sound, but it was all I could think to do. I finally fell asleep, after countless hours of staring into the distance, just waiting....
For a whole 'nother two days, I watched and waited, still with no sign of them.
I drearily woke up. I stood up and stretched, yawning. Why had I woken up again? Oh well, I might as well go back to sleep, I thought. I had just settled down and closed my eyes, when I heard it- a faint rustle just outside of the den. Then whispering. Or was that just the wind? I sat up, my ears swiveling in every direction. I couldn't hear anything anymore, so I settled back down. You're just being paranoid, I told myself. But then came the unmisakeable sound of a sneeze. At least it couldn't be a Kronador, since I can't yet understand their foul native language.
"You idiot!" I heard from behind the bushes. "That sneeze could've blown our whole cover!" The voice sounded angry, but almost in a joking way. I wasn't sure, but they sounded like other wolves to me!
"I'm sorry, my entire head got shoved into this bush by your fat tail, and the pollen count is really hi-hi-hi-ACHOO!" Came the reply. After the second sneeze I heard a small sniffle, then a thud, then, "Owwwww!"
At that, I had to laugh. If these guys were dangerous, then I was theprincess of Kronador Lake. Curiously, I peered around the corner to get a glimpse of these mystery wolves.
And, roght before my eyes, stood two full grown Warriors. Actual warriors! I couldn't help it-I letout a tiny yelp of suprise and happiness. But it was enough to let them know I was here.
"Aha! I told you something lived in this cave!" exclaimed a *big yellow, black, and white one.
"Hey, it's just a pup! What on earth is he doing out here all alone?" The other one said, obviously confused. I knew they weren't here to hurt me, so I spoke up.
"I'm...I'm w-waiting for my family," I told them. "They haven't come back yet."
"Well, how long have they been gone? And where did they go?" asked the bigger yellow one, coming closer to me.
"I don't know, really. They've been gone for at least three days..." I murmured. It just hit me that they might never come back. "They went over there," I said, nodding my head in the direction of the Kronador's land.
"Oh, kid," the smaller one said. "If they went over there...they might not come back," he finished gently.
"Why don't you just come back with us; you'll be much safer," added the big yellow one.
I thought this over a while. Should I go? What if they came back after I left, and never found out where I was? My thinking was interrupted by my loudly growling stomach. I hadn't eaten in days! I looked down at my belly. Wow, was I always that skinny? Maybe not...
"I guess it couldn't hurt, " I replied slowly, fully coming out of the den. "But what if they come back, and I'm not here? What if-"
I was interrupted by the smaller one. "Listen, kid, we'll keep tabs on this spot, and if we see anything, we'll let you know. In the mean time, why don't you just go on ahead and come back with us? You're lookin' awfully skinny..."
What did I have to lose? "Sure," I hesitantly accepted. "By any chance, do you happen to have any food on you?" I asked them a little while after we had started walking back to wherever they came from.
"No, " the big one laughed, "but there will be plenty where we're going! By the way, what's your name, kid? Mine's Dax."
"I'm Austi!" I hapily replied.

What is the name of the woi's enemy?
The Kronadors, a disturbing mix of a horse and some kind of reptile :S
Is it important to color your WoI in the official ref lines?
OH YUSSSSSS! This is mostly because TWG and other artists need a ref of every single WOI in one place, making them easy to find (you don't have to go looking all over the place for them) to make it easier to do art, see the markings, and other things like that (:
what is this contest judged by?
The story and art portions 50/50, but the other parts of the form will at least make up some of the decision.
Quirks:
He is a quirky boy, so there are quite a few X3 But, even though he has his quirky ways, he is perfect o3o
- Austi has a profound love for mud. Yes, mud- that yucky, wet, slimy brown stuff that is the result of combining water and dirt. He will roll in it, splash in it, dig in it, sleep in it, and in his younger days, he would even eat it XD But the not-so-pleasant stomachaches have put an effective stop to that :3
- Austi is also very smart. That alone, however, is normal. What isn't exactly "normal" about Austi is that he has developed a highly accurate "sixth sense". What that really means is that he can sort of predict things like who will walk in the den next, or what the Kronadors are planning, or when they will attack, or even tell if a pup is a male or female before it is born. Because of this, poor Austi is thought of as odd and different, and is more often than not all together avoided or left out :'C
- I quess this isn't exactly a quirk, but Austi is kind of big for his age :3 This results in him sometimes being clumsy and accident prone, often resulting in further embarassment and awkwardness added on to his already shy and nervous, "socially awkward" dispostion.

Funniest Moments (random, I know X3):
-Well, Austi did accidentally ingest this one really wierd plant when he was younger whild eating a delicous helping of fresh mud X3 It didn't do any real harm, it just made him quite loopy and out of it for about the next couple days, until the shaman finally figured out the problem! But Austi would run into things a lot, say the randomest and most stupid things, his eyes went crossed, and he was like a completely different wolf.
By saying he said the most random things, I mean he said things like "I bet I can do a double triple backflip and land in the ocean in the sky" and he quite often asked the other wolves if they could help him accomplish his ''lifelong dream of catching the elusive 130 ft. long birdfish rhino'' that supposedly lives in the tree by the big river...yeaaah.....believe it or not, there was more...a lot more.....
- Austi was once caught in the act of conversing with his own reflection, but he seemed to be doing some sleep walking-talking thing as an effect of the wierd plant he accidentally ate ^^
- He has a small scar hidden beneath the fur on the tip of his tail from his first pouncing lesson...^^
