Art:by santinelPersonality:Shes a shy but sweet girl, keeps to herself with a shy soft spoken voice, but speaks when mattered. Often Mirela is in the caves exploring the paths and water trails. Fhe has found a love for the crystals that grow through out the land and is often found near them.
Mirela is often deemed clumsy and is not needed, but her 'seeing' ability is quite well although she may be blind she can see in a different way. Her blindness has heightened her sense of smell, touch, hearing. Although she cannot see her surroundings, Mirela has seemed to adapt to feeling them and the things around her. This gives her an advantage in battle when its dark or bad weather. With razor sharp hearing, faster reflexes and smell that can pinpoint anyone she really is not disable nor blind.
IndependentMirela is not one to ask help from someone else because she likes to show that she is normal. She can do it no matter how long it takes, even if her sight fails her. If someone asks to help and she knows its needs then she'll accept. When her determination is great enough, Mirela will do it on her own. She isn't one to give up or ask for help when she is at a slight disadvantage.
PersistentIts harder to give up than it is to stop or fail, She will go above and beyond whatever it is doing until its done. If she cant find a way on her own she makes a way for it to be done, in spite of difficulty, she wont give up. Mirela has no need to prove herself to anyone, but simply remind them that she is capable of anything normal to every other chimera.
Story:From the day I was born I was different and knew it, there was no doubt about that. My family watch over me more carefully. I was not aloud to leave like my other brothers and sisters. Or stray to far from sight, if I remember I always had some one to look after me. My watchers never seemed to mind they always seemed to enjoy my enthusiastic and adventurousness attitude. Although at first i was helpless and didn't go far, as I became older I became restless and wanted to do more and go further. Most of this is because I have mainly been around Sitara, she never took no for an answer, her persistence inspired me to become who I am. Form the Day I met her, I knew my life would change, although we are growing up together Sitara helped me realize I am as normal as everyone else, that and we put up with Takeo a lot...
I felt the sun on my back and the wind in my fur, my brothers and sister were outside playing amongst each other. The best part is I could see them, there coats, they way they play, our home, and just everything. They had dark colored coats and light markings only I seemed to have a white coat. I pawed out of the den and began to run around with them. Laughing I pounced on my oldest brothers back we fell in the grass laughing. Playfully he pinned me down and tried to bite my neck. Pushing him off me I ran and hid under my moms tail, it was thick, fluffy, and hiding under it no one could see me. My brother walked over, I pounced. he sped off yelping and tripped over Mammas front paws. landing on his chin he let out an 'oof' and flopped over.
Walking up to him I pawed his chest "Pinned" and went to lay between my Mammas front paws. Her and Daddy were laying together when Daddy got up to leave. When he got up mother picked me up and told the rest of us pups to come inside that daddy would be back later, somehow I knew he wouldn't be back. I didn't want him to leave, squirming from Mammas grip i ran after Daddy
"Daddy don't go!" I stopped at the entrance and looked at him.
"Daddy don't leave Mamma" I looked up to him with sad eyes "Don't leave me, please?"
He walked to me and scooped me in his chest, "I will be coming home, I promise"
He let me go as tears ran down my cheeks and landed like cannons in the dirt below my paws. The sky had darkened to a dull grayish color and then to black streaks. The only thing left was Daddy's silhouette of black.
Everything changed my sight stolen and my hearing, smell,and touch deepened. I groaned and moved a bit in my sleep, It was all a dream.
"Mirela, Are you up yet?" my neck pawed at Sitara, as usual was up early as ever, and well on her way to get up to go to the caverns in search of the crystals.
"Wake up sleepy head" She nudged me again.
I stirred and got up, my body heavy and tired. Sleep, the word floated in the back of my head. Taunting my every thought and fiber. I sat then stretched and yawned loosening up my muscles. Sitara tilted her head "The dream again?" her feeling were worried, and sad.
"Yea, but i've never seen them, this time i did." She nudged me and pawed my tail "c'mon lets go before it gets too busy in the pack!"
Together we strode off to the caverns of crystals. As we neared my head became fuzzy and loud like radio static. They hummed in my thoughts and through my head scattering any other thought. We walked deeper and deeper till I could hear the water drip to the underground lake.
"we're here"
I said rushing forward into a large luminescent pale crystal. I took a few steps back then around it. Sitara stared in awe at the crystals here. "Mirela, how do you always find these places, only the adults are suppose to be in places like this" Sitting I shook my coat dry from the few drips that clung to my fur. Tilting my head to the side a bit,
"I don't know how or why I can but i do. Like a hum sorta" I stepped out of another crystals way, "Kinda like static waves, I fallow them to places like this."
We walked to the center of the cavern, a shallow lake only inches deep was in the middle of the cave and within the lakes center was a mid sized island with a single mass chunk. As she ran around inspecting crystals I leaned my head against the center mass of crystal. Immediately my scattered thoughts cleared as a cloud of pale whitish blue fog crept and chased all thoughts out confusion or thought. My eyes closed I could faintly make out a network of luminescent veins, they glowed electric blue and connected one mass of crystal to the one next to it all back to the mother crystal of the cave. This map of veins changed from the ones solely in the room to those of all the crystals in our land.
"Umm.. Mirella" The voice was like a ghost, distant and soft spoken.
My front paws no longer on the ground, but placed on the crystal took the burden off my head. I looked vigorously around the room and could make out a faint glow coming from everything. This was my new way of seeing. My first paw came off fallowed by my second, I was now back on all four. A slight crack came from not to far away as a chunk of this crystal hit my paw and rested there. It was cool to the touch and very smooth, Its outline the same Iridescent blue as the mother crystals' veins.
"Sitara, are your here still" A slight sound of moving pebbles caught my ear.
She stood next to me, Unlike the crystal outlines hers was golden not blue. I cant see patterns or colors of someone but the aura of something. And now standing here, in this moment the world around me cleared. Everything took on its own aura.
"Mirela, the crystal," Sitara paused, "Its not glowing..."
another pause as she backed away and bumped into a crystal mass " Your starting to sc..."
I didn't let her finish "MOVE!" With swift motion I grabbed the chunk of crystal that fell on my paw and shoved her out of the way as a bolder from the ceiling fell crashing the mother crystal in the cave. As that happened the others dimmed and went out Sitara and I were left in blackness. I muffled a "KEPF UFP!" as I clung the still glowing chunk in my mouth. The ceiling and sides began to decay more rapidly, I ran right beside her and led her out. Seeing the faint aura of the shocked crystals i led us out the wrong path and to the base of the mountain into the Pantherberus territory.
The cave entrance shut behinds us with a loud crash, the busy noised jungle fell silent after that. A growl or hiss came from the distance as out enemy called out to others. I knew the worst was to come. Not far off i could make three auras of red heading out way "keep quiet and move swiftly" I said as low as possible. We quickly got away from the blocked entrance and although we cant navigate through the jungle we could go up. Travailing through the slight part of jungle we came to the base of the mountain and to our lands not long after. We were home and safe.
Takeo came out from behind us. "well i know trouble is on the way now, what this time"
I ignored him till we got to the center of the pack. Sitara ran off to go hunt being as it was lunch time, leaving me to play twenty questions with her brother. Do I mind no, but it can seem annoying that he studies more then talks so really its like twenty minuets of sitting with three questions. I sat and placed the crystal between my paws as he took Sitara to get food and then he was back with a rabbit for me. "Eat." I didn't eat it.
"Why were you down there, two teens have no business in Pantherberi territory. Explain yourself" He was worried but seemed thankful we were safe.
"Mirella you could of been ate or got lost quite easily, you don't know your way, and you cant even see me!" This last part hurt.
I tiltend my hung head to him "Your wrong" His expression changed from scared brother and protector to shock and disbelief. "How?" he said, with a pause he let me continue. I told him of the place and how the humming was in my head, I told of the network and how it connected them. When I was done telling of that I moved my paws to reveal the glowing crystal. It Piqued his interest.
"I grabbed it before the cave collapsed. I thought I should and I did, I can see the aura of things with it. The crystals they are connected, it's a grid and I can even say your sitting to my left and your pondering thoughts of disbelief." Takeos head came right up "How can you tell that? well my thoughts."I guess it lets me feel or distinguish emotions of others" I gave a wofish shrug. Takeo seemed mesmerized by the crystal
"Do you mind?" he asked, as if I wouldn't let him take it.
Hinting to the crystal between my paws. "Nope not at all!"
Taking the crystal in my mouth, I fallowed him. As we neared the den of the shaman i placed the crystal at my feet. Takeo went in and came out with one of the Shamans, Takeo told him it needed to be strung. The shaman took it and moments later came out. The shaman gave it to Takeo, and Takeo slipped it around my neck. Instantly the auras that I saw became clear crisp to a fine detail. The features were brighter, more distinguished, glows were brighter and now fr the first time I could see other wolves. The first of which were Takeo and The shaman...
Three things about Chimeras:male
-have straighter horns then female chimeras.
- have spikes on their backs and hind legs.
Female
- have curlier horns
-do not have spikes anywhere on their bodies
both
- slightly longer canines and claws than a normal wolf
- long fur hanging from their ankle areas on their front legs
- long fur hanging from the back of their knee areas;hind legs
