What does his brindle remind you of?
In all realities it reminds me of the warm humid summer nights sitting out on our porch listening to the distant rumble of thunder, and looking closely through the screens to the landscape out side. Just the mere look of the horse brings back that all too familiar sound of the wind whipping through the trees, the only sound in the entire forest, before the coming thunderstorm. I can almost feel my old cat dig his claws into my thigh as a warning to me that a storm was brewing, and can almost taste the scent of rain in the air. the transitions from light to grey make me think of the flashes of lighting, distant, and faint, but still there, the last sign that the storm was close at hand.
yes this is a memory of mine, one i look back fondly at. I no longer have my old cat who loved to watch storms with me at night, I gave him up not to long ago to a good family and loving people, Yes that place that i loved to watch the storms rage around me was real, I was safe "inside" a protected inclosed area of storms. this WME brings back all those memories I'm so fond of of our house in Virginia, why? eh, maybe its because i can make the oddest connections, but through it all this horse reminds me other the wonder and power of a a raging storm in the Middle of Virginia, in the woods, just before sunset, and moon rise.
