Answer:
Albinos exist in almost every form of animal. I've seen an albino aligator in real-life, and there are even albino racoons and humans. Even sheep! The basic identifier of having soemthing be albino is pale to pure white skin or fur and pinkish red eyes. Albino horses do exist, however they are rarer, or more common, in different breeds. For examples, I've read that albino thoroughbreds are rarer than, say..... another breed ^^. Some websites, such as this one, say that there are no true albinos. NOTE: If a horse is white, it doesn't nessecarily mean it's an albino. Black or brown eyes do not make a white horse an albino, only red or pinkish eyes. Some people may mistake a cremello horse as an albino as well. There have been no cases of a true, lviing albino horse because their lives are short lived, some die as a foal. Albino horses posses the "white gene, aka W" and they have pink skin. There is an absence of pigmentation in their genes and coat color. The closest, most common color of horse to albino is overo or sabino. Their genes, OO, may cause them to be totally white instead of the mix of white and another color, for example chestnut. In conclusion, there have been a few reported cases of albino horses, but recently none have been heard of. Albinos can be considered rare, and their lives are short lived. Cremellos and "greys" can also be confused with being albino.
Alright, now as I said before there are more animals that are albinos, but I think the most interesting are either horses or frogs. Yup, frogs! Albino frogs are just frogs with a genetic defect. Many people have had their hearts captured by these frogs, but in the wild they live shorter lives than their colored counter-parts. They also have no special health issues, which is odd in my opinion since because of their gentic defects, I would think they'd have some.. disease like other albino animals. The only reason, or one of th emost important reasons, these albino frogs live shorter lives in the wild is their lack of camoflauge.

This is an albino frog. It's skin is more pink than white, because unlike horses they do not have a coat to cover their sckin. This frog also has reddish-pink eyes.

Answer:
No, "Albinism is caused by a recessive gene, meaning an animal must carry 2 copies of the gene, one from each parent, in order to express the color (or rather, lack there of). One copy of the gene has no effect on coat color. Because of this, 2 albinos bred together will always produce an albino This simply does not happen in horses because no white horse's coat is caused by a recessive gene, and none of these white horses breed true as an albino would. "
http://www.whitehorseproductions.com/white.html

there is no reported case of a "true albino" horse, but there is a breed known as the American albino (American white) : http://horsebreedslist.com/horse-breeds ... can-albino

this horse's color is highlighted here:
"The American White, regardless of breeding, must have pink skin and truly white coloring. No slight pigmentation of hair allowed. A few, small scattered spots are permissible. The various eye colors common to horses are acceptable including amber and very pale blue and parti-colored."

if you look up the White hose in Wikipedia you will find this sub article, called "albinism" with clearly states:

"There is no reported case of a true "albino" horse, despite references to white horses that are called "albino". There are also references in literature calling white horses "albino." All so-called "albino" horses have pigmented eyes, usually brown or blue, and thus are not true albinos. In contrast, many albino mammals, such as mice or rabbits, typically have a white hair coat, unpigmented skin and reddish eyes.

Dominant white in horses is caused by the absence of pigment cells (melanocytes), whereas albino animals have a normal distribution of melanocytes. In other animals, patches of unpigmented skin, hair, or eyes due to the lack of pigment cells (melanocytes) are called piebaldism, not albinism nor partial albinism.

The definition of "albinism" varies depending on whether humans, other mammals, or other vertebrates are being discussed.

Despite this, some registries still refer to "albino" horses. For example, the Paso Fino Horse Association registers cremellos and other cream colors as "albino." Until 1999, the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) described cremellos as "albino" in rule 227(j). The AQHA later replaced the word "albino" with "cremello or perlino," and in 2002 the rule was removed entirely. Among Connemara pony breeders, homozygous creams are called "blue-eyed creams" or sometimes "pseudo-albino" and remain barred from the stud book."

Answer: No, there cannot be albino horses. There aren't fully white horses, either. Most usually have grey or brown as another fur color on them.

Answer: No, they carry white genes, but they aren't true Albinos. I've come across a Lethal White, where, in Paints, the foal has not been developed comepletely and carry no pigment. Their intestines don't form fully and usually die within hours of birth. If you want to read more of our own scare with Lethal Whites, you can check out here- http://www.horseplayequus.com/Miracle.aspx
