Nymthic Docksen
Butcher's Glory wrote:Habitat - Nymthic Docksen
Nymthic Docksen are almost identical to their cousin the Horse. They can live in almost any environment but need a good access to water and shade. These Docksen are ridable, and can thrive when put in stables. These docksen will work hard and so need a good training session without making them use all their energy. They cannot work on rocky area's as it can cause lameness.
Behaviour - Nymthic Docksen
Nymthic Docksen are the kindest creatures of the Docksen family. They will not hurt another docksen and refuse to harm humans or other creatures. They may have accidents as usual animals would, but they surely do not mean any harm. While riding, they firmly keep their heads forward so their large antlers cannot hit their rider (males). This creature is very patient and they are very easy to train as they are willing to learn.
Colouration - Nymthic Docksen
Nymthic Docksen come in all natural colours. Commonly Browns, Bays or Chestnuts. Uncommonly in white or greys. They rarely come in palimino and creme, and the rarest colour they ever are seen in is Black. These docksen often have Brown and green eyes. Very rarely Blue. And on an occasion yellow. They do not have their own 'marking' as their cousins do (Skyeloric | Aquatic) But when cross bred, they often have a mixed marking (which can occur without cross breeding) called a "Leasuire Armor" which goes down like a bird beak and along the stomach (rarely not going the entire way down the stomach) and from the shoulder across the back down to the stomach. This is often darker than the body (almost never black) and rarely lighter. Their hooves are always bone black and it has not been seen that bone creme is in the species.
Features - Nymthic Docksen
The Nymthic docksen are the most unique docksen know to man. They have 6 legs and 2 upright tails. Males also have twice as large antlers than females. This species was built for speed and endurance, just as much as for beauty.
Gender - Nymthic Docksen
Females - Females are much less competitive as males. They work well on farms and just as well in rodeo events. They can be specifically trained to do something which is known as the 'look away'. The females will learn this quicker and easier than males and it is excellent for in Campdrafting and boby calf events when the rider must leap off the docksen they tap the side they want the docksen to look away from and say those 2 words. This is just so that they do not stab the rider.
Females Height - 16hh to 18hh
Males - Males are incredibly competitive, as they do not fight with one another and have huge antlers, winning competitions (especially in the presence of females) means they will have the better chance of mating. These docksen are wonderful in dressage or cross country. Show jumping is another of their fortay, but the rider must be an experienced rider as these creatures have 4 legs it will mean that they jump almost twice as high. When they begin to hit jumps is when they are tired (and need a rest) or when they have reached the maximum height of jumping.
Males Height - 17hh to 18hh
Rarity - Nymthic Docksen
