Equid's name: Cecilia (Cici for short)
History:

Cecilia was born on a high mountain, where the wind blew softly through the trees. Her mother was a beautiful calico with a pearly white mane. Her father was white with black brindle, but she never really saw her father that often. Each and every morning she would run to the top of the mountain to play with all the other yearlings. She could always make friends very easily. WIP

I've decided to withdraw since I have two girls already. Good luck everyone.

Equid's name: Torrune
History:
Torrune was your classic "Born to a herd up on a mountain" type equid She played like other yearlings, and socialized like a young filly should. She was not separated from her herd like some, but there was one event that had changed her and made her what she is today. Looking back, there's no wonder she strives for nothing more than utter survival.

The world was new as it was in every early spring. New foals had come about, and those born a year before had become official yearlings of the Runikan herd atop the mountains of Canada. Torrune, now christened with her new name that will stick with her for the remainder of her life, bounced about with the other spring babies from last year. She kicked and raced with them, weaving throughout the adult equid's legs. Her days during this time were great, but they soon turned nasty. A few weeks later, a mountain lion leaped from a tree of the forest in which the herd had been travelling through. That fateful day, Torrune's mother had been the victim. After the inital panic, the lead stallion chased off the cat. Torrune's mother was laying beneath a large conifer, her body torn and her muzzle bloodied. She had whispered something to the young filly that day. Something that had set her trail of thinking for the rest of her life. Survive.

Equid's name: Calica [from Calico]
History:

Dear Calica wasn't the mare with the...well, most comfortable and easy life during her childhood.
Her mother died during the process of her birth, and because of that, her father was clinically shocked and never really recovered. Not only that, he became abusive to his only family member, saying; 'You killed your mother!'

Poor Calica was still a young filly than, and her immature mind did not have strnog roots to hold her firmly in her beliefs. She was hurt and frightened of her father, and thought that all stallions were like this. She tried her best to shy away from him at all times, but it was no use.

Equid's name:
Kaiya
Her nickname as a foal was littlefoot, but now, she likes Kai or just plain Kaiya :3
History:
As a foal, Kaiya was never phased by her size, or the older colts that teased her. She always thought that if they could do something, so could she. And with her thin legs and 6 hh hieght she would chase after those yearling colts with all her strength, and try to plow them down with her speed.

She always thought that if she believed she could run faster than them, that she would. And she didn’t let anyone tell her any different.
She told herself that she would beat anyone that got in her way, and that she was going to show everyone what she was made of.

As she grew up, Kaiya remained her usual self,
stuck up, proud, and would never back down from any challenge given to her.
some think that she may have gotten a bit more moody xD

She was still sweet to those she loved though
Many of the other equids of the herd thought that it was funny how quickly she could change from sweet and playful to bitter and protective.
She made everyone she met know that she was strong, and that she wasn’t afraid to fight.

Kaiya was always good with making friends, especially with the males of the herd. All the females that weren’t like herself thought that she was too tomboyish to hang around, and she was usually frowned apon by these fillys.

As a yearling, you could commonly find her rough housing with the colts, and most importantly getting in trouble with them,
she would run through the rivers and splash the older equids of the herd,
Her mother constantly had to make up excuses for her mishap,
and she has nearly gotten kicked out of the herd many of times.

Although the other equids almost always had a bone to pick with her, Kaiya just wanted to have fun, and have a care-free life amongst others.
But she was always held back by her bad reputation, and wasn’t allowed to do much besides graze and watch over the foals of the herd.

As her childhood friends grew up, she began to miss them more, though she couldn’t do much about it.
Her mother had forbid her from seeing those colts ever again, but she could’t help it.

She would often meet them in private while she was supposed to be watching the foals.
This got her in more deep trouble,
The 5 foals who needed watching at the time had nearly gotten eaten by cougers twice before, and their mothers nearly trampled her to death because of it.

Kaiya was now denied the freedom of watching the young, and only allowed the privelage of grazing the whole day under the herds watch.
Kaiya was horribly deppressed. she could only watch from a distance as her friends bucked and kicked in the fields with happiness.

She remembers vividly of one time where one of her friends stopped and looked at her in sorrow.
She looked at him in return with sadness.
All she wanted to do was frolic and roll in the grass with them again.

One day, a whole month after her lock down, Kaiya decided that she had had more than enough.
She planned that she would leave the herd, and go high up into the mountains with her friends for a night,
All she knew was that she really needed to get away from her monitered life with the herd.

She woke during the night, while all were sleeping, and walked over to where her friends were laying in the grass.
She remembered how silly she thought they were because they slept laying down even as an adult. They acted like such naive little colts.

She recalls uncerimoneously kicking them with her front legs awake, and telling them her plan.
They seemed pretty exited about as she recalled. She remembered them all heading out to the pass that led to the higher pastures, that of which would be recovering from last season’s feeding.

They walked cautiously out of the herd, not seeing even one equid sturr, they trotted through the pasture until they hit the stoney trail of the pass.

Kaiya remembers fondly upon those days. She smiles at the memory of her oldest friend looking down at her and saying the one sentence she wanted to hear for months.
“I’ll race you, LittleFoot.”

LittleFoot was one of her nicknames she was often called as a foal because of her size.
They raced off in happiness with her friends,
The sound of her hooves clacking against the hard cool stone of the pass was music to her ears.

She galloped ahead of them, letting her legs move freely under her.
She had never felt happier in her life.
She tilted her head, letting her see what was coming behind her.

The boys struggled to keep up.
She Through her head up and gave a kick, she felt so free, just to be able to run and play as she was doing now.
She lifted her head again and felt the breeze run through her mane and gave a winnie.
She rounded the turn that led to the high pasture and skidded to a stop at the front of the feild.

She couldn’t even contain her happiness.
She reared up on her hind legs and kicked out her fore hooves.
She finally felt free to do as she pleased.

She planted her feet on the ground once more, looking back to make sure her friends were coming after her.

The three colts that she had come with finally rounded the corner,
sweaty and panting.
They returned to her side, led by the oldest of them.
“Dang LittleFoot, Those little feet can move!”

He said, trying to catch his breath.

She laughed and looked out at the field, as long as none of the herd members were awake,
they would be safe.

She looked back at her friends,
The youngest of them, a little grey brindle leapt forward and bucked around,
Kaiya followed him, trying to catch him and tackle him

The others joined in and reared up and pawed at eachother with our forelegs

They ran to the forest, happy to hace freedom.
Kaiya stopped, smelling something awkward, she pricked her ears and looked around,
FIRE

She yelled to the colts to come back, but they had run too far ahead,
She galloped after them, they were approaching the forest.

All of a sudden, they ran past her, telling her to follow them.
Then she saw the field turning that horrid bright orange,

She pinwheeled around and hauled herself out of there as fast as she could,
holding her tail high to avoid the trailing flames that licked her hocks.

She ran faster, coming back to the pass they had taken to get to the higher pasture,
The boys were waiting there for her,

Their hooves firmly planted on the safety of the cool stone.
She remembers her thoughts vividly of them when she saw them there.

She remembered her slight offense that she had taken to them
When she was sprinting to warn them of the fire, they just ran past her, only worrying about themselves.

Kaiya thought about this as she galloped towards them, her legs moving under her like a blur of movement,
They smiled when they saw her safe,
But to return their lovely favor they had delt Kaiya,

She promptly galloped past, letting her hooves slam against the cool hard stone with each step
The boys immediatly ran after her,

She remembers looking to eithetr side of her, seeing the trees and grass that lined the pass turn into a firey blaze.
She glanced back, seeing the boys on her tail.

She returned her glance forward and looked on in horror,
The herd had woken up to the smell of the smoke, and were probably looking for the young yearlings.

She began to trott as they neared the mouth of the pass.
Her friends slowed with her and looked at her in fear

She knew that it was either death, or get thrown out of the herd.
Kaiya remembers the feeling of wanting to run back into those flames, and just have the drama be ended there.
But she knew better.

When a small flame that licked her tail made her wince, she started off into a gallop again, reaching the grassy meadow the herd inhabitted.

She remembers how her mother screamed for her and ran over, licking her daughter's face.
That welcoming mare began to glare at the group,
she sternly told the group of colts to find their families and let them know they were even alive.

Kaiya remembers the distinct look of disapointment on her mother's face, and the awful feeling she got from looking back at it,
but she knew she had delibrately disobeyed her mother and almost gotten fried, so she knew she had learned her lesson.

She remembers the shrill winnie of the leadmare as they all began to gallop to safety,
She led them to a small area higher into the mountains on the other side of the medow.

The sound of hundreds of hooves clacking against the hard grey stone echoed in her mind as they ran.
They soon stopped at a small grassy area at the top of the mountain, watching our valley burn.

I looked awful.. The summer breeze that had smelled oh so sweet had turned smoggy with the smell of smoke and ash.
The foals gagged, and the mare's nostrils ran with fluid.

The leadmare told us to all lay down and let the smoke pass, and to only take small standing breaks to stretch our legs.
Everyone layed on our knees, looking at the dark grey layer of soot above.
foals nibbled on the small amount of grass they layed on, and for hours we waited.

soon enough, we all fell asleep.
We woke up, and got to our feet, shaking off the snowy layer of ash that covered our coats.

We walked down the mountain, watching as the remaining ash drifted from the sky above to the stoney floor below.
When we reached the field, her whole mindset changed,

Many believe that She had gotten a bit more gracious then,
and from then on, she lived life a bit more grateful of every second she was so..
