Equid Name: Tsugeti
Equid Age: 1 year
Story:
The pounding of hooves sounded throughout the vicinity of the mountainside. These beats were thunderous, powerful, and full of life as each struck the ground in a rhythm that likened to an everlasting dance. These beats were owned by none other than the Wild Mountain Equids of the Appalachian range. As these beats slowly died into the distance. They were followed by the singular tlot, tlot, tlot of a smaller Equid that had been running alongside them. This creature however, this mere yearling, had fallen behind without any complaints. She hadn't called to her herd mates, nor stuck by her mother's side. Though her mother had objected to the separation, her precious pinto yearling insisted she'd be fine. In her attempt to become independent for only a short while, she had been left in the dust.

As the last swishing tails rounded the corner, her eyes widened with fear as she realized her situation. She pounded her hooves harder against the stony mountain rocks that had begun to hurt her feet. Her breaths had come harder, and her nostrils flared open wide with every inhale and closed with every exhale. As she approached the flat, grassy clearing near the top of the mountain she could almost see her herd in the distance. She pushed herself harder on the narrow cliffs and for a while, she began to catch up. Her head lifted multiple times to whinny at them, but she got no response.

In her rush, she missed a root sticking up out of the ground in an incomplete loop. Catching her hoof in its curve, she fell to the side and toppled over herself. Black and white swirled together as she rolled and clashed with tree and shrubbery in her path. The final fall had come sooner than anticipated, and her body was cast down an additional ridge to land on the flat path she had been racing up earlier. A sharp pain ignited in her left cannon, but she knew it wasn't broken; just sprained. Her ears splayed onto her skull as she wondered,"What will I do now?"

:D Tis a mystery.

Equid Name: Skunk
Equid Age: 1 year
Story: [note; the stallion in the story is my equid Tyrant]
"A mountain lion? Oh, of course. I've faced more than a few in my day!" the stallion roared, his voice growing in volume as the various little foals assembled before him, waiting to hear his glorious tale of adventure. Yes, what a wonderful audience. Young and easy to manipulate- err, eager to learn new things.
"But I thought it was a bear that gave you those scars?" another little foal piped in.
Tyrant's face fell, his proud stance wavering for only a second. "How could I have forgotten the bear! What an incredible beast he was! Gave me this scars on my face, he did! Massive beast, it has claws the size of...of ...as long as a fish!" Well, that was as good of a guess as any. In truth he had never seen a bear, but he imagined them to be quite frightening. Well, to another equid not as brave as him, of course.
His audience continued watching with intent stares, unaware of his slip up.

The little pinto's ears perked up, gleefuly taking in every word of the stallion's story. How heroic, how incredible!
Slowly the audience dispersed, their tiny bellies quickly over powering their interest in the strange male. Skunk stayed, naerly bouncing up and down and the crowd left. Today she;d meet her hero. Her amazing, heroic, and dreamy soul mate. Now was her chance!
She trotted up, trying to contain her happiness. Today was the day, she could hardly- oh wow. Was that that idiot who got himself tangled in a fence a couple months ago? Seriously?

She turned around in a huff, her streaked tail swishing in annoyance.
And the others thought she looked silly? Pfffft.

Equid Name: A Shining Light
Equid Age: 3 years of Age
Story:

Once upon a time.....

There was a beautiful, black and white pinto Equid, with stunning sapphire eyes. Her name, was Shining Light. She ruled the kingdom of XNF with a fair hand, although she was a bit.... ditzy. She was always a bit confused, and had her head in the clouds, mumbling about chocolate. It was all she ever spoke about, chocolate. "Anyone have any chocolate?" she would suddenly exclaim during the royal nap, or even, "Bring me some chocolate, you fools!!!" from sitting upon the royal throne. You could simply say, she was insane.

One day, the ruler called upon her friend, the Contessa of Caramel, to bring her something extra special. The golden chocolate bar of the north, the most desired chocolate of all. But, alas, as the Contessa brought it up to her, Light came upon a horrendous discovery. "Nooooo!" she wailed, her head thrown back with despair. "It's forever trapped in the immortal block of ice!" Her eyes flickered with fear and pain, as she threw herself upon the golden chocolate bar, weeping desperately. "Nooooooooo... Why must everything good die?!?!?!"

From that day forth, the Kingdom of XNF knew the truth. The beautiful queen was distraught and insane, and that her chocolate would always come first. Never the kingdom.

Oh, and i think i forgot to mention. She never did get her golden chocolate bar, nor did she get over the fact that she would never have the chance to taste it. She lived in a fetal position, huddled behind the throne for the rest of her days, staring at the forever frozen form of her secret lover... Chocolate.

((I have absolutely no idea where this came from. Don't ask, i'm just absolutely insane at the moment.))

Equid Name: Felicity (Fell-ece-city)
Equid Age: 3
Story:

Felicity wondered around the meadow sniffing at the newly bloomed flowers. As she sniffed at a rose, she heard something behind her. She turned to see a black and white rabbit munching on some grass. She took a look at her markings, then to the rabbits, and then back to hers again. She sighed at how alike she looked to a rabbit. "Whats the matter Felicity?" Black droplets, her friend, asked. "Me! I'm the matter! Look at me! I have no brindle! You and all the other Equids look so gorgeous with your, fancy design and beautiful brindle... i'm just the little odd ball who joins in hoping to be like them..." Felicity answered sadly. Black droplets looked at her friend sadly,"Felicity, it's not a bad thing that you have no Brindle!" Black looked sweetly at his friend. "What do you mean?" Felicity asked sniffing. Black droplets knew that if horses and Equids could cry,Felicity would be in tears. "Felicity! Do you know how rare you equids are? You have one of the Equids most amazing coats! Now... come on, cheer up." Black smiled at Felicity. Felicity smiled a grateful smile back at him. "Now, come on.. I need to show you something!" Black galloped across the open meadow, Felicity following behind.

Black stopped at the edge of the forest. "We are here?" Felicity asked, a bit disappointed as she had been to the forest, many times before. "Hehehe.. well.. there is something that you haven't seen before..." Black said cheekily. "I know that look, Blackie...What are you up to?" Felicity asked with sheer curiosity. "Cheering you up! Laughed Black droplets, who knew how to do this well. Black started walking into the forest, "Wait! Black you know I don't like forests! Come back!" Felicity called into him. "Its either coming, or staying out there on your own!" Blackie called back. "B-I, um... UGH!" Felicity annoyingly cantered in after her friend. "Where are you going Black droplets?" She asked him still scared of the dark forest that surrounded them. "Come on , turn this way. Close your eyes though! I will guide you!" Black took hold of Felicity's tail and guided her through a bunch of bushes and came to a clearing....

The clearing was filled with luscious green grass and gorgeous new flower beds, and such a beautiful streaming lake that ran through it." Now go look behind that be rock over there." Black droplets hinted to the large rock over to one side of the clearing. Felicity started walking over to it. "Wait! What of like some wolf jumps out at me or something like that?" She said anxiously. "It won't,what you don't trust me?" Black replied cheekily like usual. "Trust.. its such a strong word to use.. especially with you!" The two equids laughed together. Felicity walked towards the rock. She looked behind it to see what was there. She gasped with shock! "Oh-oh my gosh! B-Black droplets!" Felicity was shocked, as sitting there in front of her, carved on the back of the rock, was the names of Felicity, Black droplets and Bertha. Bertha was a dog that Felicity, Black droplets and two other equids saved from getting shot. "I remember now..We were all great friends...They didn't compliment me to make fun of me but to make me feel better!" Everything came back to her now. "Yes...Now why don't we go back and talk to them equids? eh?" Said Black droplets. "Yeah, good idea." Felicity turned back and hit the path again. Black droplets went out in front of her. Felicity looked back "This was the place all of us came when the whole world would turn against us. When we would be called names..." Black droplets came to look at her. "Remember how they use to call me a cow? Because I didn't have any brindle" Felicity now laughed. "I use to pretend that I was a cow just to annoy them, because I didn't care. And now look at me...I'm a wreck" She smiled to the ground then walked on."All that has changed Felicity! Everyone likes you!you are too kind hearted not to like! Now I think we could go and talk to them equids and see what they think." Black droplets took off. "Hey wait up!" "You gotta catch me first!"

And both young equids galloped back up to their home on the mountains, Felicity's morale restored! Felicity learned alot this fine day and is sure that she will never forget it.

(( Hope you like my story! It's about the struggles and laughs of life! There isn't much 'laugh' in it because i'm not all great at laughs but...My entry! ))

Owner:- Chasing Dreams
Equid Name:- Mars
Equid Age: - 1 1/2 Years old
Story:- I raised my hand to say hello. Patting her mane lightly. I twirled her mane between my fingers, Mars snorted digging at the ground with his front hove. "Mars." I whispered her new name in her ear. Her ears flickered back and forth and she nodded her head as if she was accepting her new name. I kissed her cheek softly and loosely held onto the her reins. “Even though you are mine, you will always stay free.” I muttered so only she could here me. Mars whinnied, delighted at the words that escaped from my mouth. She pressed her nose against my shoulder. I shuttered, “Yes you may go now, where you truly belong.” Her eyes softened, so did mine. I unbuckled the reins and slowly pulled them off. I could see her breath getting faster and faster, harder and harder. Her heart beat was visible now, and she shook with excitement. I placed my hand on her shoulder, it was terribly warm. “Calm down Mars, you will be okay.” Once I got the reins off her, she reared up on two feet. Her tail gently brushing back and forth against the ground. “Clam down, girl.” I said, backing up while holding both my hands in a defensive manner. Her front hooves slammed against the ground like thunder. I smiled knowing she was full of excitement. Mar’s mane bounced up and down as she trotted in circles. “Go now Mars, be free and safe.” She turned around and peered at me, those soft blue eyes sparkled in the dime light created form the sky. I smiled and blew a kiss good-bye. She whinnied and trotted away flickering her tail back and forth as she proudly headed towards the mountains. I new that was where she would live. Hopefully, she would find a mate, and have beautiful foals of her own. I new that would be the outcome, but I just hoped she wouldn’t forget me. Days went by and I peered out my window, pondering wether I should take a hike up on the mountains and try to find Mars. I sighed and walked over to get a drink of water. I didn’t bother to look out the window to see if she was heading down the hill, through the trees with a herd running beside her. The sun making is almost impossible to look at them. I walked outside and sat down on my old wooden chair. It creaked and I shot up in my seat as I heard an absurd noise. My cup of water flew out of my hands and shattered on my porch. I let out a little squeal but soon calmed down as I saw the familiar bouncing mane of Mars. She neighed slightly flicking her head side to side. There was no herd behind her, it was just Mars. My beautiful and amazing Mars. I ran into my house and grabbed an apple, the juiciest and most perfect apple I could fine. Just as I ran through my small hallway, outside she was standing there by my porch. I walked over to her slowly, saying her name in a very calm voice. I held out the apple and she gratefully grabbed it from my hand with her mouth and ate it in two bites. I smiled and pet her soft mane. I grabbed a poetry book from my wooden seat and sat down in the grass. For an hour I read to Mars. She stood there next to me the whole time, grazing on the fresh grass that grew on my lawn. When I was done I shut and book and left it on the grass. I walked over to Mars and placed my hand between her eyes. She looked cross-eyed as she tried to see my hand. I laughed and pushed her a side lightly. She whinnied and trotted around me, “Good-bye old friend, I will see you soon.” She nodded her head and cantered away. I watched as she kicked up dust with every step she took. Soon when she was out of sight, I began to ponder when she would come back and visit me once again.

Equid Name: Serenity Humor
Equid Age: 2 and half
Story:

Serenity was an unusual one--she was special, from her very birth, the start of her life.
She was born with a non-brindled, pinto black and white pelt; what a rare colouration for an equine!
Her parents were pleased to see their rare daughter, and treated her with care and love they could manage at most.
They named her Serenity; they thought, unlike the elaborant brindles and markings other horses had, their young filly had a simple coat of black and white. The name turned out to be quite fitting, too. As Serenity grew up, her personality showed up; a calm, serene personality that matched her lovely water-blue eyes.

Her childhood was flawless and delightful, because of the incessant care that her parents poured into her. Thanks to that, Serenity managed to grow up; healthy, elegant, dainty-- she wasn't an annoying, haughty shallow mare, though, she remained serene and humble. As she grew up, she grew more and more popular and caught the eyes of many stallions-and received the pure jealousy of some other females. The males and females alike were very unnerving and uncomfortable to deal with for poor Serenity. Because she had grown under the shadow of her overprotective parents, she wasn't sure about her own, personal decisions, and had to have advice from a reliable source. As she reached adulthood, her parents realized it was time for her to be on her own and did not meddle with her anymore. Poor, poor Serenity; how confused and frightened she was of the world now. It seemed so different now.

Lest she had been treated as an equal friend and ally, Serenity would have managed to pull through to her adulthood. Unluckily her unusual coat made her quite a sight; and usually, in bad ways. Ah, males. Why did they have to be so...buzzing? 'Serenity, Serenity, I love you so much. Please will you have a walk with me?' plenty of similar calls came to the mare; she was too warm-hearted to refuse, but was terrified and overwhelmed by all the suitors. Females, on the other hand, were much, much worse. 'Hey, Serenity. Ha, what a name; you are far from serene, you moo cow. Your markings aren't that of a wild mountain equine, but of a lowly, stupid dumb cow.' One started like this, and the other bullies would laugh and comment cruelly about lies towards Serenity. Because of her problem-less childhood Serenity actually believed a lot of these nonsense, and grew depressed and lonely.

She tried to blend in, at first. She made many efforts, actually; one time, she spent an entire day collecting dry twigs, mud, rainwater, and soot from a forest fire to make a black, paint-like substance. She used her muzzle, tail, and hooves to make brindle like markings on her pelt. Unfortunately all it looked like was a bunch of smudges, which led up to others beleiving that she wanted to be even MORE special. Her efforts were useless- it took a while for optimistic Serenity to fancy that, but eventually she knew that there was no way to become a 'normal' horse.

So...she decided to leave. For good. The more she thought about a life, living alone and free in the meadows without having to worry about the incessant pleas of males and the jeers of the females, it grew more and more tempting that finally that was all Serenity thought about; dreams, consciousness, anywhere. She smiled determinedly. I will leave, she thought. Sooner or later, I shall- no longer I have to hide from the views of others, and be free from every horse that bothers me without understanding me truly. One night, the other equines realized one was missing; it took a while to remember who, but now they knew that Serenity was gone; as silent as a morning zephyr, and that she would never return to their ranks.
Lovely Humor's name suited her very, very well. In fact, the word itself seemed to derive from this dear young filly. How bright, how funny, how humorous she was; everyone liked her for her innocent joys and laughter she provided for the entire group of stallions and mares! Times weren't always so bright, though. Puberty was a huge...impact, on the life of dear Humor and her friends. The events of teenagership(? is that a word?) started on Humor's second birthday.

Her best friend who had 'joined hips' with Humor had started to act very, very strange.
"Hey," Humor said with a cheery smile on her lips. "What's wrong~?"
To her extreme surprise and shock, the only reply that came was: "Shush up, you MOO COW. I have no reason to talk with such a horse with a stupid cow's markings."
Humor drew back in hurt dignity and pain of her friend's abrupt change. She had always taken pride of her rare, black and white pinto markings with definately no brindles at all; and her friend dared call her a cow!
"Ha! You're just jealous, you stupid filly-you look like a HIPPO!" Humor retorted, her white cheeks started to glow red. Without another word, she stormed off, planning to never-ever- speak with her now-odd ex-best-friend from now on.

Humor looked up to see rainclouds gathering; a storm! She quickly searched for shelter along with her parents and herd, and they all managed to fit into a small cavern. Now they were in, staring at the drizzling rain in quiet gloominess. Boring...dark...ominous. There was definately nothing to do but to sit there like they were nothing but blinking statues. Drip, drip, drip. Humor, being a lover of fun, yawned and decided to venture deeper into the cave; then she realized her weird friend was following, but didn't really mind. Then came a sound- CR-R-R-RACK CRASH! Humor and her friend whipped around, but it was too late; the boulders have fallen from the ceiling and had locked them up together, seperating them from the rest of the herd.

"It's your fault," her friend sniffled, angrily glaring at Humor. "If only you weren't being so dumb like a cow, we won't be in this mess."
"Well, if you weren't acting like a complete dork, like...like, a suburned panda fat like it ate a thousand bananas and fell into an ocean of banana leaf tea(BLT) and just lay there flapping because it was too fat to get up, and eventually was found by a group of vengeful banana spirits and ended up being whacked by a dozen pair of wet newspapers!"
Humor snapped back- the sentence just came out of her mouth. It was the worst curse she could manage, and personally she didn't think of it as 'funny', but as a huge insult. But unexpectedly, her sniffling friend giggled and it grew into a huge, hearty laugh of pure mirth.
"You got me with that, Humor," chuckled the friend, stil laughing and crying at the same time- "I'm so, so sorry for being such a dork; I don't know what happend- but now I know you're such an awesome, awesome filly." The two grinned, now being bonded as best friends again.

The next day, the two managed to find a way out of the cave to be greeted by their relieved parents warmly and continue on with their everlasting friendship.
"Are you okay, dearests?" their parents said with huge, loving eyes.
"We're all right," assured Humor. "Except for the fact that I'd love to have a thousand bananas for dinner today."
The parents blinked in bewilderment, and the two fillies winked at each other with a mischievous grin on their faces.

Ignore the strike out part, I didn't see the 'I want a good laugh' part ;a; Just ignore~ and please read the second version ^w^ The BLT joke comes from my teacher named Brenden L. Teacher, his initials equal a kind of sandwich so I changed it into Banana Leaf Tea o3o I hope it was funny. I'm not THAT of a talented funny person, but hey, I tried! Thanks for the chance, this mare is simply epic. I'd love her COMPLTETELY when I get her, so much that I will barely apply for anothe WME unless it is half as stunning as her!

Kasatka attempted to get up from her laying position, she had a particular itch she urged to scratch. The little filly was only 2 hours old, and her mother had been cleaning her and catching her breath after tending to her daughter's dramatic arival. The two hadn't yet returned to the herd, and the cool stone below Kasatka's belly made her shiver. She stretched out her long legs and pushed her wieght forward, realizing she wasn't very graceful. Her rump stuck high in the air, and her front legs stretched out, letting her wieght fall on her elbows instead of her petite little hooves. She heard an almost musical giggle come from behind, and her head swung around to see what was watching her. "Watch your step little Kasi, wait till your father sees you!" Her mother had gotten up to assist her daughter's step. The large mare stepped foreward and lowered her head under her Filly's wwarm little belly, lifting her up to a better stance. the filly's ears perked as she looked at her mother with a smile. Her mother grinneed back,
"Little Kasatka."
