Description: River is probably the cutest and most admired mare in the herd, she was not the first-rate worker, but was respected for her courage, wisdom and cleverness. She was also one of the most beautiful, she had the softest black and white coat with beautiful darker black brindling. She had the softest, deepest, brightest blue gaze with that mischevious glimmer. River had the shiniest gold and black hooves, and the softest, sleekest tail. She has a beautiful slim building and a big heart. Her beautiful blue gaze goes amazingly with her coat, she has jet black brindling on her legs, back and neck and one that stretches from her eye, down to her cheek, which makes her look simply adorable! She has well matched colours and her back fur is so perfect. River's muzzle is so soft and velvety, anyone would think she's an angel from heaven, her hooves hardly touching the ground, her strides so smooth, as gentle as a feather. She has three black legs and one white, two gold hooves and two black, she has a white rump and it stretches dow her tail until the very tip, which is black. She has a black face and two brindles stretching from her neck to her shoulder, also a couple of brindles on each black leg. She has two brindles on her back, on the black patch.

Description: She is a slightly off-white mare with black patches that have slightly jagged edges, and darker black stripes. She has stunning, aqua-blue eyes that contrast greatly with her black head, and a darker black stripe is hardly visible and extends from the corner of her eye to the back of her head. A small portion of her mane, behind her ears, is black. Stretching from a black patch on her neck that is also part of the black on her face is a vertical black brindle stripe that slants slightly to the right. It is parallel to another very similar brindle stripe that is attached to an even smaller bit of black mane. Her chest and front right leg (when facing her front) are also black, with a smaller vertical stripe closer to the top, and some more slightly-darker black brindle markings.. The leg opposite is pure white. Starting a bit below the rib-cage is another black portion, and it stretches upwards to the part of her mane on her back, though there is a bit of white on the mane in between. There are two striped extending down from her spine/mane. even It stretches down to her hind legs, and the left one is purely black with 4 brindle markings around the middle while the right one is mostly black, but with a very small white half pastern marking at the hoof and two brindle striped above that. Her front left and hind right hooves are cream, while the front right and hind left hooves are black. The base of her tail and a bit beyond has a rounded white portion that extends all the way down her tail, except for the tip of her tail being black. This is my favorite part, because it looks as if it has been dipped in ink, and is the reason I chose the name Zen.

Description: Upon first glance one would perhaps decide that the markings belong to a cow used to produce milk, that is possibly the only assumption a person would make if they did not know the range of variations you could get of an Equid or horse. Then again she's a bit more than what a milk producing cow would be, her brilliant blue eyes holding joy and life within them -- reflecting the sky of blue she prances under. And yet on closer inspection, dark streams of black lay visible - often beginning out of nowhere and finishing in a similar fashion. Lastly, we come to her hooves that hold great contrast that not only remind one of two sides of life but also of the days where film had just begun with black and white motion pictures.
