Name:
Frica
Name Meaning:
Fear { In Romanian }
Nicknames:
Ri { Ree }
"Little Dee"
Gender:
Female | Vixen | Demoness
Species:
Chimera
Body Build:
Slender and thin with slight muscle.
Height & Weight:
-
Eye Color:
Violet | Purple
Family:
Unknown - Although many other Chimeras are like her siblings.
Personality:
In general, Frica is judged for the person she isn't - she will often
put on a mask or put up a wall to hide true feelings. Many Chimeras
think of her as stubborn, sometimes quiet and harsh, but she knows
that she truly is kind, caring and forgiving. She supposes that her
mask ruins most relationships she attempts to have, but it's part of
who she is. It's how she protects herself from getting hurt.
Sweet as Honey
One of Frica's most challenging pieces to recognize of her personality
is how sweet she can be. She tends to come off as sharp-tongued and
closed-off, but she's rather sweet. The only Chimeras that ever see
this side of her would be the higher rankings and those who have already
cracked open her shell. Despite her having a fear of going up against a
Pantherberus, she would do it for someone close to her. Ri's idea of
"taking a bullet" for a friend or family member, is the literal thing - not
just defending someone, but truly saving their life. Or taking your own
before theirs. Except, of course, it would deal with a Pantherberus rather
than a bullet. This Chimera is far from self-centered, even if she may come
off as that. Do not judge her or take her first impression of her personality
she is granted. Everyone is different from when you first meet them.
Sharp as Knives
There are parts of Frica's personality that are rather "edgy". Whenever
other Chimeras bring up their parents or her own, she becomes very fragile
and will often lose her temper. Despite how kind she attempts to be, she
does have her bad side. There are days when she will lay in a cave for hours,
without anyone beside her. Other Chimeras have told her that they would
like to help her, would like to be close to her, but she merely pushes them
away. She's more stubborn than her mother ever was.
Black as Devil's Heart
One of the hidden pieces to Frica's personality is how dark she can truly
be. Mostly due to what happened to her mother, but also due to the fire
in her heart that she was born with, this Chimera female can have the mind
of a killer. If another species, such as a Pantherberus, goes up against her,
she will not be afraid to spill blood. There are many moments when Ri thought
of ways to harm the Pantherberus that killed her mother, but she does her best
not to dwell too long on the subject.

Faster by Within Temptation
I can't sleep 'cause it's burning deep inside
Like gasoline on a fire running wild
No more fear 'cause I'm getting closer now
So unreal but I like it anyhow
I go faster, faster, faster, faster, faster, faster, faster
And I can't live in a fairytale of lies
And I can't hide from the feeling 'cause it's right
And I go faster, faster, faster, faster for love
I can't live in a fairytale of lies
I can feel that you mesmerize my heart
I feel so free, I'm alive, I'm breaking out
I won't give in 'cause I'm proud of all my scars
And I can see I've been wasting too much time
I go faster, faster, faster, faster, faster, faster, faster
And I can't live in a fairytale of lies
And I can't hide from the feeling 'cause it's right
And I go faster, faster, faster, faster for love
I can't live in a fairytale of lies
And I can't live in a fairytale of lies
And I can't hide from the feeling 'cause it's right
And I go faster, faster, faster, faster for love
And I can't live in a fairytale of lies, a fairytale of lies
Three things about Chimeras:
Chimeras live on a planet called Edhanastia, and are very intelligent.
Male chimeras have straighter horns than females.
Females do not have spikes, while males have them on their back and hind legs.
Story:
From Frica's Perspective
The first thing I can remember, was a winter day up against my mother's stomach. We were hidden inside one of Edhanastia's many caves { near the forests, so the weather wasn't as cold as the top of the mountain }, a smaller one at that, watching the snowflakes flutter down from the gray, cloudy blanket above the mountains. My mother had her head gracefully upon her paws, her breath fogging in the icy air - I would always call that "a breathe of smoke", because that's what it looked like to me. It was after she had told me a story of the Pantherberus and how they came into being. How we came into being. Our "mutations" are beautiful, maybe just in my eyes. Anyway.. It was a story about how the first metiorite struck our planet, our Edhanastia, and we became new beings - even the Pantherberus. I've never seen a wolf before, but my mother used to tell me that we were very alike to them and that's what our species originated from. After she finished the story she laid down in our den to sleep, knowing that whenever she slept that I slept as well - I was around seven months old, at the time. I can remember looking out of the entrance of the den, not going further than that because I was nervous, and seeing my first snow. It was beautiful but also scary - she said they were frozen rain drops, and I thought at first they might hurt when they hit my pelt and nose. But, in fact, they were soft and melted at the touch. Despite how beautiful the first snow of the season seemed to be, up in the gorgeous toned mountains, the frigid air and frozen waters of the Winter soon followed. I did not like that.
That was one of the first memories I had ever had - one that meant anything in the least, of course. There were other memories such as play-fighting with young Chimeras that were enjoyable, but none that truly stood out to me. When I was around a year old, my mother often asked me to play fight with older Chimeras so that I would learn how to take care of myself. I never really enjoyed being beaten, but I guess that it was for the best. Even though she had asked me to do so, I made sure to focus more on stealth and being fast rather than anything else - what was a strong female worth anyway? The males would always win when I fought them, and I lost the interest in fighting with them at all.
When I was just two years old I had a memory that would come to haunt every one of my nightmares. My dreams would be twisted and drive me into an insanity that woke me up in milli-seconds.
My mother and a few other Chimeras went to gather food as per usual, and I patiently waited outside of one of the larger dens. I wasn't a child, exactly, but I liked to know that the others were safe and sound with food to feed the hungry mouths. When they returned that night I caught one of them limping in the distance - it was my mother. I can remember those feelings that swept over me. Regret. Pain. Anger. Sadness. I would come to blame myself for not being there to protect her - she was aged and stubborn, which meant she was more likely to get into a bad situation. There wasn't a Chimera or Pantherberus that could have run faster at that moment than when I ran to my mother's side, instantly examining her wounds. Her hind leg was the worst, just above where the fur hung from her delicate ankle. There were scrapes and scratches alongside of her stomach and shoulder, but nothing like the gash on her leg. Despite the blood and the pushing of other Chimeras to give her space, I couldn't stop staring at the harsh wound. The first thought in my head was - How could I let this happen to her? For years I blamed myself.
Hours later an adult Chimera, a wise male, allowed me to come into one of the large, open dens. There was my mother, curled up near the cave's wall. She liked to be near the wall because rocks were edged up against it, where she could rest her head to look up at me. Look up at my young, little muzzle. I remember her commenting on how my horns were growing in - she often would go off topic to distract both of us from an issue. I guess I got that gene from her. That night, I laid beside her for hours, even until morning. She often cringed and winced in pain and I could hardly bare it, but I had to be there for her. The next two days were just as painful as the first few hours, and I could tell that the wise male was becoming anxious. I knew her time had come, even if she hadn't been fighting for very long. She had lost too much blood to reverse the problem, and I knew the only reason she was still fighting was because of me; because of her daughter.
I don't like to talk about the rest, but my mother died four days after she was injured. They said it was a group of Pantherberus and that my mother had strayed, but that the brutal creatures were chased off after she was attacked. I don't blame them as much as I blame myself - even if it's not fair to me. I lost my mother, you can't blame me.
Ever since her death I have been fighting more often, not to the death of course - more of a skilled, play fighting. I promised my mother that I would train for her, so that if I ever came across a Pantherberus I would be able to defeath it. I also promised to the night-time stars that the Pantherberus would regret it.

What do I find so interesting about Frica?
To be honest, everything. I know that it may sound "cheesy" or whatever you'd like to call it, but it's true. I've been watching the Chimeras that have been going up for a while now, and they never seemed like they really fit me. My favorite color is purple, so when I saw her eyes I had to see what she looked like. Her markings are absolutely gorgeous but fierce at the same time { even if I can't draw them to a T on an edit X3 }. I'd love to make her like me, because she looks like she could be me just by her expression, markings and overall look. I absolutely love the colors.
