"My friend, there is no Evil or Good, just great power, and those too weak to seek it."

Invidia allowed her paws to stretch out slightly further and rest on the bare side of a large boulder that stood before her. Head spinning slightly, Invidia spun round lazily to face to face the glistening moon above. Starlight made her black pelt turn a silvery grey in it's glittering rays. What a night it was. The only sound that erupted around the atmosphere was the silent tick of night, getting louder and louder untill it awoke those resting from a hard day- SNAP.
Drowsy but restless, Invidia rose quickly to her paws, ears twitching. Her one golden eye blinked into alert mode, tail sweeping the ground dangerously at the disturbance. But the sound didn't repeat nor return in a different manner. The silent night continued as though the sound had been only a dream. Maybe it really was a dream, Invidia thought in a questioning manner. CRACK. The sly night allowed another interuption attack Invidia' mind. Invidia turned and jumped on the dusty rock she had been sleeping next to, and allowed her eye to spin around the shadowy landscape. The unexpected noises reminded Invidia of a time many Autumns ago, when a young fox had sent her rampaging into attack. Envy spilled into her soul as she thought of all those Life-traitors, fast asleep withoute a worry in the world... Or atleast believing they had no worries in the world.
Calm but suspicious, the tall she-wolf prowled into the night. Possibly she would meet one of her fellow sins, or possibly a sleeping Life-traitor that would make a juicy and satisfying meal. At that thought, a rumble echoed in Invidia's stomach. She was pretty hungry after all. Silent but steady, Invidia crept swiftly into the shadows, the familiar shrubs brushing her pelt, like flames licking at her black fur had done so long back into her past. Quietly the night's ticking faded back into Invidia's ears but, as if on queue, the night let out a loud THUMP. Suspicions wild, Invidia spun round to where the sound had come from. Who dare annoy the sin of Envy?
