Orin is like fire - the very essence of ambition, strength, pride, and -unfortunately- arrogance. There are many parts to him though, that cannot be overlooked, such as his compassion, and his intellect. Not all of these traits could be explained in a simple paragraph though, so we must take a journey, almost to his soul.

Arrogant
Orin is a young shionnix, a male at that. Many people would call him a "know-it-all" - he claims his knowledge is the most important at the time. By having such high standards for himself, he sets himself up for failure and for enemies at the same time. Many a time, he will be disappointed when he does not fulfill his vision of himself, or is too proud to admit it. Which, brings me to another point. And he has quite a sharp tongue; anyone in the tribe could tell you, "That boy needs to know when to bite his tongue!".

Proud
Orin is full of pride. For himself only, though. While he is very proud of his tribe, it's not the same defensive pride he has for himself. He does not like to admit his mistakes and faults, he thinks it may make himself seem weaker - which in fact, is not true at all. Many of the great alphas in the tribe have had to swallow pride over generations, but alas, this snippet seems to be the information Orin is lacking. Which, doesn't happen often.

Vain
Orin takes pride in his wonderful appearance, especially the gorgeous and flashy markings on his left wing. Sometimes you might catch him gazing into a waterfall or a small pool after a storm, admiring his lovely head plumes, or his brilliantly striped leg markings. He would never admit doing these things though, for he is a masculine bird, and enjoys the thrill of the kill, and the rush of a battle. Unlike female birds, who are normally caught doing this, who mainly dislike getting a bit of blood on their feathers.


Intelligent
Orin -for his age- is quite intelligent. In fact, he's one of the smartest of the adolescents in his tribe. Often, you'll see him observing the world around him, and testing the knowledge he has. Sometimes though, instead of using his common sense, he simply lets his knowledge lead his actions; which may get him in trouble with whatever he may be dealing with.

Fun
Orin is still very much a youngster - full of zeal, and spunk. Though he has the attributes to act as an older, more respected shionnix, he still prefers to act as his age; which no one can blame him for. Often times, you'll see him flying through the skies; loops, dives, spins, everything a young shionnix like himself could dream of. Most of all, you'll see him with his good friends - maybe rough housing or something of that sort.

Sweet
If he takes an interest in you, he will be very sweet. He will become very attached to you, and enjoy doing small tasks and favors for you. He also has a sort of innocence about him, using it when he senses he may be in trouble.

Orin soared through the soft clouds, the golden sun's rays caressing his beautiful feathers as the gentle breeze combed through his plumes. He sighed slightly, and closed his eyes in content. He came this way almost everyday, but even after years, couldn't get sick of the feeling of flying high above the ground. In only a matter of minutes, he landed lightly onto a small island. He was a rather fast flyer, although as of late, he had been taking a mite longer - for he had learned finally how to do a somersault. On stretched his wings to their full span - which was rather large. He yipped with joy, this was one of his favorite times of the day, and he tried to get away to this place when he could. Orin raced to the center, joying flexing strong leg muscles. Finally, he reached his destination. An oasis of waterfalls, surrounding a large rock ledge in the center. Orin grinned widely, and clapped his wings at his sides. He then fluttered softly onto the bowl in the stone, making sure to not slip. He had been waiting for this moment all day; through his rough play with his friends, through his lessons with the elders, through everything. Finally, he stretched his wings as wide as they would go; the water that streamed past him caught his gorgeous colors from every angle, reflecting off of each other and himself. Orin made a strange noise, which sounded almost like a warble, from joy. Though he would never wish any of the rest of the tribe know, he always enjoyed admiring his elegant patterns and colors in this oasis of his.
