Speckles is, don't tell him he thinks it will ruin his reputation, a very sweet dragon. There are very few people that know this because he tends to keep to him self.But when you do find out you wonder how he ever kept his heart of gold to himself.

Speckles paced back and forth. She had been gone to long. He scanned the sky once more. If she didn't come soon he would have to give her up for dead. She still wasn't home yet. With a sigh bigger than Niagara Falls he closed and latched the loft door. He slowly trudged back in to his house, all the while he was looking over his shoulder for Maggie. He couldn't believe that his bird, his first bird and his best flyer was still not back yet. He had raised her from the egg and she was his best friend. He remembered her first flight, she had flown from her perch to the low branch of the ceder. Se had been so surprised that she fell out of the tree and on to the ground. He curled up in a ball and tried to sleep. He tossed and turned. why her, why not one of his other birds, but not Maggie! A tear slowly leaked out of his eye and traced a path down the side of his cheek. Then an other, and an other untill he was full blow crying. I miss you ,Maggie he whispered.

The sun streamed in through the trees,It is too beautiful a morning. I wish Maggie was her to share it. He rolled over to hide his eyes from the bright sun. Chirp! Chirrrp! Chirpp! Speckles sat straight up. That sounded like Maggie! He scanned the sky and the trees. Chirp! Chirrrp! Chirpp! It was! Sitting on the roof of the loft.
"MAGGIE!!" With a loud chirp and a series of coos, Maggie swooped don to land on Speckles head. She was home.[color]
