Why do you want to adopt? He is exactly like my dream rat which I really want to get in rl and I think he is absolutly adorable.
Rat Name: Shadow
Personality: Shadow would be a happy and friendly little guy who enjoys to play and be cuddled. He is extreamly tame nad loves to hang out with other rats. He loves to eat corn off the cob and doesn't like being in open spaces as he prefures to be hidden away in a sleave or in a sock.
Quirks: Shadow loves to chew on anything he can get his mouth on which is why our post has many holes in. He loves to sleep with his head tuckd under his body in a big ball of fluff.
What do you plan on doing with your rat? I would use him on my signature and would use him in roleplays.

Why do you want to adopt? I just love the design of it. I've always wanted to have a char like that. Also, it's because I've longed to have a small char like Totoro for example. I've tried making a bird companion but failed. This is perfect!
Rat Name: Cheetah
Personality: Cheetah loves people and enjoys snuggling with them. Unlike other and most rats, she likes human warmth. When you least expect it, she could be crawling up your back to go on your shoulder! But, she is not afraid to bite when attacked. Cheetah favours corn over all other foods. She hates celery.
Quirks: Cheetah likes collecting all the corn out of her food bowl and burying it.
What do you plan on doing with your rat? Hoard art of! She's the cutest thing ever!

Why do you want to adopt?
The design is unique. This rat; a rat with the markings of a leopard; really caught my eye because it seems special and I really haven't seen a character like this in a long time. She is totally gorgeous, and her beautiful and yet subtle markings caught my attention. I also love leopards and other types of big cats so she's just all around fantastic!

Rat Name
Her name is Riss, but she has nicknames like Rissaboo, Rissi, Riss-Riss, or Rissy.

Personality
Riss is a very happy, optimistic character. She is considered by most gullible, creative, adorable, and innocent. Riss is constantly giggling and smiling and she is very affectionate towards others. She cares for others with her whole heart and she is fun to be around, oh and of course she tends to get hyper and silly! Riss shares no hate for her cagemates, she seems to love every one of them, even if they dislike her. She always is happy; only unhappy when another rat does something mean to her, but she gets over it easily and makes up with the rat. Riss is always there to stick up for her friends, vice versa. She can work anything out and make any rat see the bad in what they are doing, turning them "nice." Her friends never turn her down!

Dislikes
For being such a kind rat, she has a few dislikes. One, her cage must ALWAYS be clean. Dirty cages = a nightmare for Riss. Two, well, basically anything "dirty" or "sloppy" like mud or flies. Or mold. Mold is her worst ENEMY >.<

Quirks
Riss has big collections, she is a rat hoarder. She has a lot of buttons, sprinkles, bows, the little spiral things on notebooks, boxes shaped like hearts, and artwork of cats. Her favorite toys are along the lines of socks, tic-tac containers (she fills them up with miniature pebbles), and tiny plushes shaped like different kinds of snakes, fish, and elephants. She has a taste in various foods, her favorite food being ramen and cookies, but she also loves carrots, seeds, corn, pineapples, and BISCUITS! Riss has hobbies like taking a super small saddle and riding cats, reading, going on the internet (using her abbreviations for small things like, waooc is we are out of cookies), and, of course, hanging out with her cagemates and friends! One of her favorite all-time hobbies is art- being creative! Traditional is what she does best, but she loves to write stories, scuplt, and draw.

What do you plan on doing with your rat?
Oh, if I get Riss, I'll use her in roleplaying, maybe even in a story! She would be my new character too, of course. I would go around loving her and hoarding/collecting artwork from various artists of little Rissy!

Hoh, there would be no way in 1,000 years that I would no longer care/long little Riss! But, sadly, if there comes a time, I would come and return her here, but there are no chances >:3

I find the easiest way to come up with stories and personality is to imagine interacting with the character(in this case rat).
Just write about the things you'd do together. How do you think the character would react to certain stimuli?

Why do you want to adopt? Because i love rats and he is stunning!
Rat Name: Leo
Personality: Is very sweet, he can be a bit bossy to other rats and he plays quite rough,he adores watermelon and hiding in peoples jumpers. ~How far will he go to get watermelon? Will he sneak into people's jumpers, or does he wait to be put into them? Is there anything else he does for fun, if there is no watermelons or jumpers around?
Quirks: (Little things like "Enjoys sleeping on her back", "Loves hoarding candy wrappers", etc.) He loves to play dead and loves wearing collars. ~Why does he like to play dead, is it to trick other rats or people? Does he have a favorite collar?

While rats seem very simple or they don't do much, there are a lot of personality traits you pick up on over time.
Just keep thinking of things the rat likes, doesn't like; How they try to communicate with you; How do they react to being held, going outside, or getting introduced to a new animal or rat.
Another way to help is take a look at the applications that won last round. What KIND of information did they include.
You could also do a web search on people's stories about their pet rats.

He is a very shy rat, who doesn't really enjoy the company of humans. Being from a petstore, he had a rough childhood.
He always hid behind his brother(Spaz) and would squeal loudly if you tried to pick him up. Spaz and Anx were always cuddling. It took him a long time to get used to us, and it wasn't until Spaz died, that he finally started to warm up to us. Now he is a very big, very lazy rat. Being picked up is still something he hates, but he only squirms went held. His favorite place to be petted is the cheek and arm, and he will reach his paw out everytime you pet. His favorite hiding spot is the back corner of his table where we set up a fortress. The fortress has a window that he always leans his head on to sleep.
Bananas, Pretzels and Yogies are an absolute must! He will come waddling as fast as he can if he hears me saying any of those! He also enjoys sharing Oatmeal and home-made Smoothies with me.
When we watch movies, he comes over to the corner of his table closest to us and watches with us. Even when he is in a anti-social mood, we will find him curled up closest to where we've been sitting.
He is REALLY picky about water. The water HAS to be filtered, and HAS to be changed three times a day. If I slack off and only change it once, I will find a bunch of food or fabric sitting in the water. It's his way of letting us know he wants new stuff. =P

I never had a rat character, and this one has a very interesting and loveable design. ^^
Rat Name: Obi
Personality:
{ In my form Ill refer to it as him as I just don't like the wording of this with 'it' sorry XP}
Obi is a loony, happy go lucky character, who's only goal in life is to have
fun. Him was born with the qualities of an outstanding leader, which makes him the envy of his
peers. Due to his great exploits, he often adventures into many new enterprises. Though his escapades don't all ways bring him good fortune they do often enough, which makes him all the more enthusiastic to explore the new. He is aggressive and excitable, yet inclined to be impulsive as well as quick in action. He hates to be led, and loves to administer others. He is also inclined to be head strong and self willed, which seems to attract many people and admirers. One of his greatest problems is that he must learn to yield to the inevitable and to give in when he must. His coups often get him in over his head, and in order to get out of certain situations he requires furtherance of another. He usually accepts assistance graciously, unless it's an offer from a female or someone 'demeaning' of the sorts. If someone of the 'lower' variety were to ask to assist him, it may take some consolation before he would accept. Though it wouldn't be exactly impossible to get him to let you aid him.
Also, he tends to oppose the old remedy, 'what you want isn't all ways what you need.' To him, his desires are his needs, and he requires a friend {or female...<3} who could teach him to draw a line between his ambitions and his compulsions.
He has a versatile nature, and a constructive imagination. He often places what should be first as the latter.
He is philosophical, forceful, and demonstrative. He is also daring, unflinching, and unafraid, and must be taught to somewhat curb his exuberance. He does tend to be too boastful and snobbish, but not without reason. For as you may have assumed by now, Obi is a very well rounded individual.

I really love rats, I have three in real life. This rat reminds me of one of my old rats\that died, her name was Misty,
which is why Imnaming this rat Misty as well in her loving memory.<3

Rat Name: Misty

Misty is a sweet, giggly, young ratlet. She's always filled with cheer and joy, making it easy to make her laugh. Though sometimes she gets a bit hyper, her friends will just roll his eyes and calm her down. When she was a newborn, she was so hard to catch, running about for fun and play. Never too tired, never too gloom.
Likes:
Having fun, playing chase, hanging about with other ratlets, experimenting, jumping, showing off a little bit, meeting new friends every day, and many more interests! ~
Dislikes:
Moody males, spoiled ratlets, being denied, having to go to sleep, her

Her soft brown eyes, and her simple yet amazing coat pattern, he grey/blue patches are unique and amazing, he little white specks are the best<3 . Her personality that shows from the very drawing she's in. I knew she had to be mine. Well that I had to try for her anyway.=3
Rat Name:
Clover;; often called Cloves, Clove and even Spice.
Personality: Clover is usually a non focused rat, with a small attention span for most anything. She gets along with humans well and enjoys their presence and company, but she likes to be alone for most of her time. But she also loves to cuddle up and sleep along side her human companions. She loves other rats to be around but is not afraid to wander off and be alone. She has a passion for apple cider and would die drinking it if she could. She enjoys colder days rather than hot and winter rather than summer. Her favorite thing about winter is the small "powdered sugar" that falls from the sky. =}
Quirks:
She can't sleep anywhere but her fleece lined hammock or next to her human "pets." She can't stand a dirty or out of place cage. She loves peanut butter and she has a tendency to find her way into a bit of peanut butter, whatever the stakes may be.

I hope to draw her and she will be my model for rat practice. I don't tend to RP, do she won't be used in any role play. But if I find the time she might be used in a book. =}
