Alright, this is my first time attempting to adopt a jb dragon so let's see how it goes
Name: Aubrinder (pronounced ah-bren-dur) The name is a variation on Aurbinder or Arvinder =3
Personality: Always a bit socially awkward, he often struggles to hold a conversation for more than two minutes without drifting off onto something else, whether it is a different subject or just generally drifting away from who he is speaking with. However, if you can actually manage to get him engaged in a conversation, he can easily talk your ear off (really only happens with things he's interested in) His klutziness (haha that's a word C:) does not help him at all with his awkwardness but instead tends to lead him into trouble, but that doesn't put a damper on his happy-go-lucky (or just oblivious) attitude. He's a natural artist and is considered a bit of an idiot savant (in the French terms: a learned idiot) which seems true when you first meet him but when you get to know him, he really surprises with how much knowledge he actually has.
Likes: Cherry trees (especially the fruit-bearing kind, yum!), marshmallows, geckos, art, squid, sea mice, chance occurrences (good ones that is), water, paint, moustaches (they entertain him so much), sea critters in general, warm weather, rain, puddles, the list goes on and on. His likes are seemingly endless
Dislikes: French Toast, any sweet dish made with eggs in it (like custard or flan, but he does love egg nog), spiders, attempting to hold conversations with boring people, and getting sick. His dislikes are marginally smaller than his likes
Theme Song: "Come Back Home" by Two Door Cinema Club
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ux-MkR-ZhgE&feature=fvstStory:The night of Aubrinder's first birthday, a massive storm forced all the dragons in his tribe into a dark cave to wait for the rain to clear. However, the dragons met face to face with a large group of human scientists who had also taken shelter there when their dig site flooded. Taken by surprise by the strange, fuzzy dragons, the humans began circling around them croo-ing and talking among themselves and trying to back the dragons into a corner. They took ropes from their packs and began to lasso the tribe, capturing them for scientific study or as a possible house pet. Excited by their new discovery, the scientists decided to chance walking across the flooded stream to get the dragons to their vehicles to be transported to the study facility where they worked. However, in the process of crossing the stream, the small dam upstream cracked and finally broke, allowing huge gushes of water to pour into the stream and rapidly raise the water level. The last scientist to go across the river was hit by the wave of water and in her attempt to not be washed away, she let go of Aubrinder and grabbed for the nearest branch and poor Aubrinder was washed away.
When he woke up, he was lying on his back on the shore of the stream underneath a tall willow. Enchanted by the sunlight shining through the branches, he began to watch the patterns dancing on his fur and on the ground when the light patches disappeared suddenly. Aubrinder looked up to see that the tree had transformed into a beautiful woman with willow branches entwined in her hair. She told him that she was the one who pulled him from the river and used her branches to keep him protected from the rain while he slept, and that her name was Iva, queen of the willow nymphs. She took him in and cared for him and even gave him a wonderful toy called a kittenfish. He lived happily with her and the other nymphs for many years, but there was always a want for trying to find his parents nagging at him. When he became an adult, he decided that he would travel the world searching for his parents or any others of his species. However, he can't do it all by himself so he is seeking the aid of a human to transport him around and converse with other humans for him
