Mountain lions, bears, wild horses, deer, wolves and others are some of the lands inhabitants. Pine trees, maple trees, oak, and birch are some of the main tree types in the area. Flint is the most common stone on the rocky mountains and was once used by the natives to make arrowheads.
Personality: Skyerunner Is a very reserved towards strangers, she tends to be the one at the back of the crowd just listening and watching. She isn't exactly at home in a large group of people but can be very fun with her best friends. she's slightly claustrophobic which partly explains why we is the way she is.Don't get on her bad side, or she can go from cute and cuddly to extreme fighter within a matter of seconds! Skyerunner was born wild, raised wild, and shall every be wild. She will never let that be taken from her. Her pack claimed she had broken one for their rules when she hadn't and kicked her out of the pack. Nothing has been the same since as she lives on her own, fighting to survive with no one to help her hunt and no warm body to curl up next to when the temperature drops for the winter. This has made her tough, and independent, but she still has her caring side and in spring she can often be found high up looking down at the packs new cubs. Inside she knows she will always miss the sound of puppies playing in the spring, the hours of bonding time she and the other wolfs had spent grooming and sleeping together. But most of all she will always miss Jakkna, one of the packs lower ranking males....he was to be her mate and when the alpha male and female died they were supposed to take over the pack, be its new leaders. She could never describe how she feels about him, because her love is too great for words. some of her greatest memories were with Jakkna, like the time she pounced on him instead of the rabbit she was hunting. He seemed to always know what she was feeling, like he could read her mind before she even thought it. He was all she ever needed, like a meal that lasted forever, filling her with a warmth beyond compare.
History: Her life was fairly simple most days, she would go hunting with Jakkna in the afternoons and the rest of the day was spent helping out with the pups, grooming, and fixing the den... everything was great. Until that night.... the night her world turned upside down...
She was on guard duty, sitting watch outside the den when she heard a pup yelp loudly, she ran after the noise and found a large dark black wolf standing over the still body of a pup, his jaws dripping with the pups blood. She gasped at the sight then her mind went into protective mode, she charged at the wolf biting its neck causing it to whimper and pull away. She chased it into the darkness before returning to the dead pups body. Its was Bashnee...the pack youngest pup. She cried over its still form but as the sun rose she stood, picking up the pup by its scruff gently and carried it slowly back to the den. As she entered the clearing two of the packs massive hunters pounced on her, knocking the pup away and pinning her to the ground. "Pup killer!" one snapped in her ear. She was taken to Alpha and only a few minutes later she was chased from the den, banished from the pack forever. They hadn't even given her a chance to explain... what made it even worst was who led the chase. Jakkna.
Her heart broke as he was told to make her leave, and forced to lead the chase that banished her.... She could see the sadness in his eyes as he heart brokenly ran after her driving her further and further away from the place which had been her home and protection as long as she could remember...After she was banished she obviously couldn't become the new alpha female... And as the packs hunters chased her away into the cold night she looked back just once. and what she saw would always make her want to return. Their eyes held regret, showing they cared for her and didn't want her to leave, but rules were rules and they needed to in-force them.
The first night she spent alone was like a living nightmare, the cold seeping through her thick fur, chilling her to the bone. She woke the next day shivering and shaking her paws sore from being curled up under her all night as she tried to keep them warm. As she left the small den where she had slept she saw a dead rabbit lying outside the entrance, still warm showing it was a fresh kill but the rabbit wasn't what made her heart flutter and the cold inside to disapear. it was the scent on it, Jakkna! He must have come early in the morning and left it for her. She missed him so much, pain clinging to her heart like a disease. That night she slipped down the side of the mountain, down to the clearing that was so familiar smelling it almost made her cry, missing her home so much. She waited till she saw Jakkna leave the den for his shift as guard before letting out a low quiet howl to him. She saw his ears prick up at the noise and he slipped over to where she was standing. As he saw her his eyes grew brighter and she almost whimpered missing him. They sat talking for hours and hours, Skye never wanting to leave his side as she sat pressed in close to him, but finally as the sun begun to rise she left slowly a new found hope in her eyes. She continued to do this every night, slipping down into the valley to see him, they would meet at the edge of the forest clearing like they had the first night, and staying away from each other so he wouldn't return to the pack with her scent, they would talk. He would tell her all the things going on in the pack, about the new pups finding a turtle shell near the lakes edge, and about the strange noises Alpha made when she slept. Skyerunner would usually cry, missing her pack so much but knowing she could never return.
But one night he told her something horrible. The alpha had chosen him a new mate... and that broke Skyerunner's heart to a million pieces. She fled from him running back up the mountain to her den where she stayed until the next day whimpering softly, her heart aching with the thought of loosing Jakkna for good. When she awoke the next day, she crept to a spot on the peak of the mountain where she could watch all that the pack did. She saw Jakkna,
her Jakkna, greet his new mate, Ali, a pure white wolf who was daughter of one of the lowest members in the pack. She watched as he licked her cheek pretending to love her but Skyerunner knew him too well....he still loved her. His eyes showed it clearly. And some day she would find a way to be with him again. After a few weeks of her meeting up with him every night he told her she could never come here again, the pack had started to suspect he had been visiting her. He told her he loved her and always would, but he needed her to stop coming to see him. If the pack found out she had been coming her they would find her and kill her. No matter how much they didn't want to, and how much they wanted her to come home they would be forced to kill her for disobeying the rules. She whimpered before running from him, how could she stay away from him forever? The one she loved... but deep inside she knew he was right and that he was doing it to protect her. the pack would kill her if they found out, and then she would really never see him again...At least this way they had a chance of seeing each other, from a distance....

Favorite Food: Fresh wild rabbit, just the thought makes her drool. This was how she and Jakkna met, they were both pups at the time practicing hunting when they ran into each other. Jakkna was the first pup in his litter to catch a rabbit...what was more touching is what he did with it. He gave it to Skye! this was the start of their relationship together, a simple rabbit...this was the reason the rabbit he left on her first day away from the pack was so special, it reminded her of their love.
Favorite Places to Go: Skye has one place she loves with all her heart, a waterfall, hidden by the thick willows.
