NamingWazzala (Goes by Zala)http://babynames.merschat.com/ wrote:Wazzala is an Amharic name for girls meaning beautiful and elegant.
Why I chose this nameThis name seemed to pop at me. I was going to use it once befre, but decided it didn't fit the character at all. Now I feel as if this name is call out, yearning to be with this WoI. It is something unique, from a language not many know about. I can assure you that this is a name not commonly used for characters, for it took me ages to find. I'm glad I found this though, for it fits perfectly.
The Story of Her NamingIn a dark, shady den, the sounds of a new life rang out. But only one voice was distinguishable, that of a pup, barely a week old. Her coat was bland, a dark blue at its lightest. The tiresome mother was in utter lack of energy, though her spirits were lifted at the sight of this small pup. The little newborn was unique, all right. Being the only pup to have been born, she inherited a strange charisma. It was obvious that this unmarked little pup was going to be unlike any other.
Days passed. The pup grew stronger, but still hadn't opened her eyes. Her fur had grown and slightly lightened, little specks of white becoming visible. Her face started to thin and little bits of blue began to frame her unopened eyes. She had become a lively pup, exploring every inch of the den, the only place she knew in the world.
Several weeks flew by, yet the pup still hadn't opened her eyes. Her once plain coat had now been filled with different shades of blue, with white starting to fully emerge. Her face had stretched out to a length that had a beautiful elegance to it, even at such a young age. Her legs stretched out, giving her a coltish gait when she played in the den.
After several months passing, the mother began to worry. Her pup radiated beauty, yet her eyes still remained unopened. She first-time mother became sick with worry of a blind pup. She began to form the syllables of a name. She feared naming the pup before her eyes had opened, for she wouldn't know how the pup felt about it. This another week passed. Bees seemed to flood the den, their "z-like" sound filling the tight space. The little pup showed an immense amount of interest in the little creatures that she couldn't see.
The mother raised her head with curiousity. She rolled her tounge slightly, mimicking the sound of the bees. Her young pup raised her head, then clumsily tumbled towards her mother. She yipped and licked her mothers chin. Her mother smiled, knowing she will have Zs in her only pup's name.
~6 months old~
The pup was growing rapidly, causing the den to become increasingly crowded. Her mother wouldn't dare let her out into the open, though. She had finally decided on a name, one that was told in through a myth in her former pack. The story was of a young she-wolf that went by the name of Wazzala. She had left her pack to start her own, a deed which was almost always preformed by males. The mother hadn't spoken the name out loud, though. She had anxiously waited until it was time.
She slowly stepped out of the den and called to the frisky pup inside. The little female creeped out of the opening and was surprised when her fur was ruffld by the wind. She lifted her now fully marked face, finally opening her eyes. First a blue one, then a green.
"Wazzala..." Her mother murmered.
Short story:During Her NamingZala, barely a week old, started experiencing wild dreams; they were so vivid that it seemed that Zala was actually experiencing the dreams in her physical self. She also had a strange feeling, as if when she was awake, she wash't with her body. Her mind seemed to float freely.
Zala, only a few days old, entered her first dream...
A fully matured Zala landed on her side with a thud. Her armor was torn from her body, barely holding on to the support straps. She looked around to see death, but only that of Kronadors. The sickly blood caked her fur, and she struggled to stand up. Strangely, she was unscathed; only her armor had acquired damage. The grass of Isket was stained a dark red. Not a single speck of blue was able to be seen through the gore upon the ground. The pup shuddered in her sleep, and her fur grew hot. It seemed to lighten, but only slightly.
Zala picked her way through the remains of the battle. Bits and pieces of armor lay everywhere. She could smell the scents of every warrior that fought. In the distance she saw the Shaman, Igino, at work. A young warrior lay on the ground in front of him with a large gash running down her side. Zala stared, mortified. Her knees began to wobble and she struggled to walk away. She then came upon a dead kronador. Its eyes were open, the yellow iris clouded with death. Zala shuddered at the sight of the female enemy, and continued to walk. She crossed endless bodies of both warriors and kronadors. Finally she reached a shallow pool, also filled with blood. There, she collapsed. The sleeping pup shook awake, yet her eyes remained closed.

After her first dream, Zala's patterns began to fill her blank coat. Her dreams continued, some being horrible, yet some bringing a feeling of peace.
Zala's dreams barely visited her, but they always brought different events.
Zala found herself as an old adult on the side of a cliff. Her frail limbs struggled as she walked up a thin pathway lined with grass. She eventually reached the top, where a den was carved into the rock. She slowly approached, her weak nose searching for a scent. Zala could smell milk and the feeling of warmth and happiness surrounded her. She poked her head into the den and saw a female that looked a lot like herself; surrounding her were six pups. The sleeping Zala's fur began to heat up again, but only in her face. Slowly the white markings around her eyes began to show.
Zala looked at the female that resembled her. The young female lifted her head.
"Hello" she sighed wistfully. A smiled stretched across her face.
Zala found her self walking into the den and slowly licking each pup. She felt a love for them that she could not explain.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zala now explored the den quite a bit. She could sense every corner of the den; she felt no urge to open her eyes. When the changing of winter to spring came, she could feel the den warming up. Slowly, she began to notice bees flying in. Their sound intrigued her and she loved the feeling that came when they flew by her ears. She now began to feel trapped in her den since she was growing so fast. Her dreams have been recently showing new life in all forms, even the birth (hatching?) of a kronador. After hours of boredom, she finally heard her mother speak.
"It's time to go outside."
Zala eagerly followed. When the sunlight first hit her face, she flinched back in surprise. Her eyes flew open, and she was in awe of everything she saw. She explored everything with her eyes, and then finally looked at her mother. Her mother was a beautiful blue wolf with patterns of all sorts. Not a single speck of white was visible on her body, though.
She saw surprise register on her moms face. Then she heard her name for the first time. She spirits lifted, hearing the familiar sounds of the bees in her name. She smiled and lifted her head, enjoying the feeling of being outside. She finally made eye contact with her mother again, and a wave of shyness washed over her.
She had never seen her mother before, and only a few words were exchanged in the den.
Her mother smiled warmly and stepped towards Zala. "Come, now it is time for you to meet all the others."
Zala followed her mother, watching everything as they went. A deer bounded away in nearby brush, its bright colors shining noticeable through the trees. Zala felt her stomach growl and looked to her mother, who didn't seem to notice the deer. "Did you see that?" Zala whispered.
"What, dear?" (No pun intended! Haha) Her mother inquired.
"That deer! It was so oddly colored! Didn't you see it?" Zala demanded.
Zala's mother turned around nervously and studied her daughter. There hadn't been a deer, and it was odd for Zala to be imagining, she had been fed fully throughout her time in the den.
As they continued to walk, Zala saw more strange animals that her mother didn't seem to notice. Birds swooped closely, nearly hitting her and her mother, and small glowing creatures buzzed around her nose.
Zala fought to ignore them, and soon they came to the main greeting place of the wolves. Brambles wrapped tightly in an intriguing pattern. She stared, eyes becoming cloudy the more she studied the pattern.
Her mother shooed her away nervously, and Zala broke away from the spell almost instantly. She shook her head and walked into an area crowded with wolves.
A tan male with dark markings approached Zala. His bright purple eyes stared into hers. Zala studied him, glancing at his piercings.
Then he spoke. "Welcome to Isket, young warrior".
Art:This was done in about 5 minutes

My tablet came today, but Far (my dad) won't allow me to connect it to his mac when he's not here.
Bleh sketch!
Meh...Say 3 things about the WoI Species:Their land is beautiful, but is no where near peaceful.
They receive armor at the age of 5 months-1 year.
Their armor always consists of a chest plate and back plate. An extra note....
I have spent quite a while stalking WoI. I always search the litters, hoping to find a pup that clicks. When the teenies came out I was over joyed yet terrified. What if I were to fall in love with one and not stand a chance? When I saw this lovely lady, I felt that same rejection. So many respectful people want her, and here I am, a young girl just getting her first art tablet that isn't even set up. I had hoped I would be able to improve my art skills by now, but with such a short notice I couldn't. I'm just glad such amazing people are trying out for her! She deserves a loving home.
And another random fact that is ironic...
This started on my birthday and ended on my dog's, Leine's, birthdays! xD
Working on Everything. Just wanted to post here so I don't forget
