A Spirit's Plea | A Woo For Xiron

Xiron slipped away from the vortex following his birth and found a secluded space where he could be left on his own. He watched the suitors who did pass him by warily, making sure that his face was always towards them. His gassy element floated ominously behind him, at times seemingly blending into his pure white pelt. What never vanished however and to his disdain were the concentrated orbs of the gas element that floated around him. He did not pay them much mind, but he never truly forgot that they were there and he took great care to be sure they didn't attract too much attention. He just wanted to be left along and if he did happen to cross paths with someone else, he didn't want them to stare at the orbs.

He sighed in relief that he had managed to slink away before Valcyon announced his name. Otherwise, all the suitors would have seen him. In fact because he did leave immediately after being born, he was quite confident that very had seen him at all.

{| Taibhse's POV |}
Quietly, I watched as the humans milled around, in awe of the newest two arrivals. Only, there weren't two. There were three. Though the third didn't seem to want to be noticed, as even Valcyon had neglected to mention a name. His white body and dark eyes seemed to call to me from the shadows he had secluded himself in; he was like me. A spirit; always silent, always watching. But I could see from his manners, he didn't truly want to be alone. And nor did I.

Silently, I glided over to the isolated spirit-like creature, sitting beside him, watching the others in the beautiful woods the vortex had chosen as a new home for this cycle. I hadn't been here long, though it wasn't like anyone noticed my arrival, much like very few had noticed the arrival of my white-bodied companion. Without looking at him, I started to speak, wondering if he could even hear my gentle please for a friend.

"Hello, stranger...," I spoke in my soft, gentle voice, "My name is Taibhse. I come to you simply to ask for your companionship. I'm tired of walking this world alone, and I would be very grateful for the company of one who understands my plight. For, you see, I died many years ago, following a terrible laboratory accident where I was a test subject. Since then, I have wandered, looking for a place I belong, and a friend to share it with. I still haven't found that place, but I am hoping I found that friend."

I sat docile beside him, never once looking at the orbs that swirled along his back; that did not make him who he was. I could see he was a bit self-conscious about the swirling mass behind him, and so I made sure to make no mention of it. My eyes scanned the area, just quietly sitting, noting that the other inhabitants of Ahzen were finally starting to see the beast in the shadows, and I took that as the end of my time with the unnamed Ahz to my left.

"I shall take my leave, now. But, please, consider my offer. All I wish is for a companion...a friend. One that understands what its like to be a spirit, wandering this world. You seem to understand, though you have said nothing," I stood, my white, softly glowing eyes, finally turning upon him, for only just a moment, "I hope to see you again, stranger. No matter who or what you choose, I wish you happiness."

Silently, I turned away, my paws silent on the mossy ground; I could hear other suitors approaching the silent creature, and I sincerely hoped my pleas were not in vain.

Elvira stepped elegantly from the vortex as the light returned to its low white glow behind her. Her head tilted up slightly, and she peered down her snout at the suitors around Ahzen. Satisfied with her examination she gracefully lifted a paw and began to pad lightly away from the vortex, moving so smoothly it was as if she was gliding along. Every mood she made was deliberate and acted so that it always appeared smooth and elegant.

"My name," she smoothly began after pausing in her gait, "is Elvira. It is a pleasure to see you all."

Elvira, lightly nodded at each suitor in turn, being sure her head still held its elevated angle and that she had mad eye contact with each before dipping her head.

"I would love to find a companion here and see what lovely things the world offers."

The Wooing of Elvira & Xiron

Postby Bast-et » Mon Nov 21, 2011 3:41 pm

Bast and AhnenRah had traveled back to Ahzen as swirling rumors reached them about new Ahzenai being created soon. Upon arrival they realized that not only had the rumors reached them, but they had also reached a number of other interested ears. The cave was crowded with visitors. Bast stopped and took in the scene.

"Hey Raz, wouldn't you like to see Ahzen now?" Bast asked her backpack- or rather the creature in the backpack. A small serpentine head peered out of the top flap.
"I think not" Raz's voice was clearer than crystal, light and melodious. Bast and AhnenRah had met him while exploring the Nevorath Mountains, far off any map. While most of the dragons that lived there were large enough to carry passengers, Raz was a mini- about the length of a persons arm from snout to tail-tip. His wings were able to push him to speeds of about twenty mph, and he ate mostly small birds and rodents. However, the looks he was giving a few of the kittens in the cave said he might not mind sampling them either. Along their travels, Bast and Rah had found Raz to be a comfortable companion, astute at reading emotions, knowledgable on many subjects, and eager to listen as well. He was also helpful when meeting native inhabitants anywhere they traveled- Bast spoke some German, and Rah spoke some arabic, but anywhere else they were lost. Raz understood every language, including the dead ones, as he had a gift of tongues like most dragons.

Then the vortex began to spin. A beautiful dark purple Ahzenai stepped out, regal and smooth in every movement. Rah turned to Bast.
"We need to meet her. She has the temperment of a queen."
"I agree" Bast told him. She reflected that Rah was attracted to many of the females that emerged from the vortex, however, this one seemed singularly suited to his personality. She addressed Raz,
"Hey, we are going to talk to Elvira," she said picking up the name from Virion, "Want to come with?"
"No thank you, I will wait here. I would like to watch first." Bast and Rah nodded and followed the crowd towards Elvira.

Bast liked Elvira. She met each suitor's eyes as she passed and showed no favor to any one suitor. Besides, she seemed an elegant and intelligent. When it was their turn to talk to Elvira, Bast and Rah sat down with her and told her about some of the sights they had already seen- The Nile glittering in the Egyptian sun, strange, ancient cave-paintings in the western United States, and the mythical peaks of Nevorath Heights. They told her of the places they planned to go, the thick Amazon with it's incredible variety of denizens. France to tour Versallies, and Italy to sample all of the local dishes and cathedrals. Bast felt sure that anyone would be tempted by the rich world waiting to be explored, but for a sophisticated Ahzenai like Elvira it must seem like a wealth of knowledge. Before they left her, Rah bowed and presented her with a small dagger. "This was a dagger found on our travels. We would like you to have it to keep us on your mind while making your decision." He watched her hopefully for any sign of favor before he turned to leave.
"Thank you for you time" Bast told Elvira before she followed him. "It was very pleasent to meet you" With a smile and a wave, she let the next suitor come to speak.

While Bast and Rah wooed Elvira, Raz surveyed the cave. As a dragon, he missed nothing. And so he saw what no one else did, distracted by Elvira as they were. A ghostly white Ahzenai was born and quietly crept off without anyone seeing him. Except Raz. He understood the other's need of solitude, but he felt a pull to go speak to him. Raz peered around the corner where he had seen the ghost Ahzenai dissapear.
"Hello?" he called softly, "My name is Raz." His thin head looked up into the new Ahzenai's face, but he wasn't scared at all. This Ahzenai would never hurt him, he could feel it.
"I saw you" Raz told him, "I'm new here too. I've only been here a day. My friends brought me, and they have been here before but I haven't." Raz spoke bluntly in the plain tones he used with friends. None of that fancy talk for this Ahzenai- Raz felt too comfortable with him to hold him at a distance with polite speaking.
"I would love a companion. I realize you may be self-concience now..." Raz never once glanced at the Ahzenai's element. He had seen the way he tried to hide his orbs, and Raz thought it the least he could do was avoid looking at them- for now. "But I am a little self-consciece too. Where I come from all the dragons are many times bigger than me. The are powerful, and I am small and weak compared to them. But I can still love myself and see past my 'failings' that I cannot correct. I would be honored to have a companion who would understand me and treat me as an equal. I feel like we could offer each other much." Raz paused in his dialogue.
"What was your name again?"

Help!
Assist!
Release!
Arrughh
!

The cacophony of voices danced around her as the weight of her connection to the spirit word crushed down on her shoulders. With a tired yet dainty sigh the seemingly young ritualist waved away the spirits who now volleyed for her attention with a heavily tattooed red gloved hand.

At first the chained beings fought her attempts at dismissing them, but eventually gave up, deciding instead to follow her around like lost ducklings. Sonya huffed, spirits would never learn that she had no patience for them. She crossed her arms and allowed her blind eyes to fall in the general direction of the Large male known as Lokeash, though she knew in her heart he was not the correct creature for her she had still enjoyed talking to him. But there was another, his birth had sent shivers running down her spine and sent ripples through the thin veil that held the spirit world around her at bay.

She snorted and close her eyes lifting her head to the sky above,
"Such Ah creature iz a rarity indeed"
she called out to particularly no one,

eeeeeeee

"Ah shut it"

she called out to the new spirit.

errrrrrr

Sonya stood slowly, clenching and unclenching her hands in minor annoyance, maybe becoming a ritualist was one of her less desirable choices in life, but still she enjoyed it. even if only slightly.

Slowly the turned in a circle. she would stop every so often and allow her spiritual presence to reach out and touch each living individual in the area, a slight smirk would touch her face as the felt each in turn shiver as she touched and passed them on, normally she would look deeper into such individuals but they did not interest her at the moment she was searching for the one.

a smile spread across her face as she located the creature, he was well hidden in a secluded space among the trees. His being did not recoil at her touch, and she was instantly intrigued, ether he had not noticed or did not care of her presence. Her resolve thickening with each passing second, she smoothly and silently made her way towards him.

She stopped a few meters from his position, moving her head as if she were looking past him, and continued on. She settled with her back resting on the rough bark of a tree, once again she closed her blind eyes and listened to the steady hum of the creatures heart and the constantly clinking chains of her entourage of spirits.

After a long wile, she finally spoke.

"Xiron"

Xiron
iron
ron
on
nnnnnnn

Sonya could not help but mentally roll her eyes at the spirits echo.

"I is Sonya, I not wish to harm you. Only wish to offer you, solace, peace, help."

Peace?
Peace?
PEACE!?

What I wouldn't give for some myself. she regretted the thought almost as soon as it danced across her mind.

" I live in world apart from rest. I walk in two. Mortal, and immortal. Living, and spirit. You not normal one. you wish only to stay in the shadows, walk in the darkness, stay out of the spot-light?
I live in such world. My life is one of spirits, and they no talking to no one but me and those like me."

"I can teach you such life. I teach you how to stay out of the spot light, to fade into shadow, to back ground. To stay hidden in plain sight."

Hiiiiiiiden

Sonya visibly cringed under the force of the new spirit that had entered her area, she paused for a few moments to put it in its place before continuing.

" You like none i meet before, have great potential. Birth send ripples through both worlds, all who hear them know of you. I offer you chance to truly live. to truly see, even in blindness. To see past veil of ignorance and into world of spirits."

Slowly she held up a single hand, clenched in it was a daggar, its hild ordinately crossed with the same beads that decorated her own body, with a quick flash of her hand she send the dagar flying towards Xiron, were it buried itself hilt deep in the ground just in front of his paws. Slowly she turned her head towards him, fixing her blind eyes onto his.

" I see without seeing, i see truth."

PART ONE

{~The before thought.~}

I slid lithely from the shadow where I spent most of my time, when I was away from my secluded home In Waterfall Cave. I slunk around the edges of the crowd, not mixing with the wooers or getting caught in their frenzied fray. The birth of 3 new Ahzenai was enough to blow their miniscule minds, I guess. I snickered softly. Pausing to take in my surroundings, I emerged briefly and shielded myself from the onslaught of people with a growl and a lash of my tail. Thankfully, they retreated like scared mice. I raised my head daintily, but a hard, no-nonsense expression hardened my features. I took it all in- all three of them. One, Sererak, I think Valcyon, or maybe Sererak herself had said , was running laps around the vortex like a young child on caffeine. I would not approach her. The mere thought annoyed me. I was glad I turned my attention away when I did, for I would have missed the rapid retreat of the pure white Ahz. The one running from it all. I made a mental note to find and possibly speak with him later, for he had piqued my curiosity.

I focused my attention back on the other vortex Ahz, a female named Elvira. She was graceful and pretty, two things I was sure would attract wooers to her like ants to a crumb. But I hesitated, toiling with an idea. Should I woo her? The term ‘woo’ made the whole process seem quite unappealing, especially since it was laced with scarred memories. Before I had realized what I was doing, I was copying her grace, and I glided up to her. But before I reached her, I /stopped. That was it. I stopped. No one would have noticed or thought anything of it, but my vast, quickly calculating mind had made a slight mistake. I really did not want to woo her, I just felt a strange compulsion to. I don’t thinmk it was her, Elvira, necessarily, but something else. Something was nagging at the back of my mind, a misfit thought, like a colorful swirl on a palette of black paint. He needs you! it screamed unpleasantly, claws on a chalkboard. You need him!

I lashed my tail like the snap of a cow hide rope. I will make the decisions! I snarled silently at, well, myself. My ears burned involuntarily. Had I really been reduced to talking to myself? But I (my thoughts) were right. I wanted to find hom, the white one, the ghostly one. The one who I suddenly felt needed something to stand for. But what did I stand for? Don’t call me stupid- I hear the rumors. Word travels to even the deafest ears. The rumors saying that I was stone cold, soulless even. That I had had my heart broken, or no one wanted me at my birth. But those were lies. People lie so easily, easier than speaking their native tongue. You don’t have to speak their language to hear the tone of a lie. No, I did not stand for lies. I stood for myself, and it was a cold, lonely relationship. It hurt. Each half-minded, failed attempt at wooing a companion hurt. Each failure hurt. My icy, glass heart was chipped, first- and here is the truth- by the girl who (did want me!) wooed me, then died, and again with each passing day of loneliness. Each solemn paw step and singular breath of mine in the frosty air hurt.

I was alone.

I hated it.

It was only a matter of time until there were so many chips that I would shatter. I would great that day with open arms and a brave face. Relinquishing my mind from these dark, constricting thoughts, I moved onward, back towards the shadowy forest where the timid, byzantine Xiron had vanished. Ah, the shadows. Besides my mind, they were my only friend. They conceal all and judge no one, the perfect balance for someone like me, full of secrets and memories. My thoughts buzzed with what might be called ‘happiness’ with my concealment, but since I was never truly happy, I simply dismissed it. Find him! they screamed again, a banshee wail, shrill and distracting. I will! I answered angrily. Tell him! they demanded, the octave rising higher with each spine-tingling, ear crushing demand. Tell him, tell him!

I refused to admit I knew what they wanted. They wanted me, I wanted me, to tell my story to this Xiron. Even if he did not want to join me necessarily, it was time my story was told. Only someone with a timid, yet brave, understanding, yet incomprehensive, selfless, yet self-centered soul would understand. Sure, Xiron might be a little afraid, sure, maybe I was a little afraid. But nothing mattered. I needed him. And I felt maybe he needed someone too. Someone who had faced this world alone, who had only themselves to console them when they cried. Only themselves to say the monsters aren’t real. Only themselves to help them face reality. And I had.

As I padded silently to Xiron’s hideout- I had a knack for finding these- I thought about my other attempts at companionship. The most recent and heart breaking Reeves, to the original, joyous meeting of Ara, my girl. My girl. But Reeves was the first time I had started to let loose since Ara’s death, to be more of the person I was inside. I had felt almost a maternal instinct with him, a need to protect, a need to care for him, like I had for Ara in her final days, final hours, minutes, seconds… And to Levorith, who I never had a good shot with anyway. I hadn’t been completely honest with him- a big mistake. That was over before it even started. I traced back through my previous woos, picking out the faults, the weaknesses, and mistakes, this small, shiny a rock a rather big reminder around my neck. Ara would have loved the sparkly little thing… No more, I told myself. Not now, wait. I walked onward, each paw step a giant bound, yet each second a millennia.

My plasma-like flare rippled and swerved on my back, reflecting my nervous, tension filled emotions. Xiron, at least, wsa lucky o have such a beautiful ‘soul shower,’ as I mockingly called the swirling elements. My flare rippled in response, darkening. I sighed and continued, picking my way over roots and rocks with the grace of someone who learned from being alone. Silence was the best company. Noise was only a helpless reminder you were alone. I approached Xiron silently, forcing my now fast-beating heart to slow. Calmly, I chided myself. Let’s not appear hasty.

PART TWO

{~The meeting~}

And then I saw him. He had a faint aura, casting a weak glow in the surrounding gloom, banishing the shadows, by cover. But it also banished my fear. Already he had cleared away my darkness. I suddenly had the feeling you get around an old friend, a sense of ease. But I also had the uncomfortable tension of someone who needed to tell a secret, or tell the truth after lying. And I did. I lingered back, hidden by the trees. I had been waiting for this moment for a long time, and now that it was finally here, I felt unprepared. What would I say? How would he react? Would he care? Shoving these unsupporting contemplations, I focused back on the task ahead. I stepped forward, one paw bringing me through my overwhelming past and into the future. My aqua plasma cast another dim radiance, a firefly glow, crossing Xiron’s like a Venn diagram. I closed my azure eyes, and then brought myself into full view. Slowly, I opened my eyes. “Hello,” I said. Simple enough, it seemed, but it took all my concentration to keep my voice from shaking. “I’m Vercivis.”

And with those two words, it all came flowing out. I tried to begin slowly, but the whole story sat on the tip of my tongue “And I believe you are Xiron?” .My voice rang crystal clear, soft and melodious around our space. “I don’t believe we’ve met. I’ve come from a little ways away, over the valley.” I explained, my gaze shifting and settling on the general direction of my home. “I live alone.” Even softer, a whisper. “It was not entirely my intention to ‘woo’ you,” I shrugged, sarcastic emphasis on the word ‘woo.’ Ara had thought it was a silly word as well. “I honestly… wanted to… to talk,” I admitted. “About two years ago, I too was creates from the vortex. I was wooed, more or less,” I said grimly, the word woo once again slipping untastefully between my teeth. I truly despised that word. “She was my best, my only friend. About six months after our union, she became sick. Very sick. There was a lot of talk about doctors and costly operations, and chemotherapy. And maybe even… death. I couldn’t understand why she would leave me. I couldn’t understand!” I murmured through clenched teeth, grief choking my voice. I looked down, unable to meet Xiron’s soul-searching gaze. I continued on, my voice growing still heavier with the grief of this tale, “I left her, just for a week. Just long enough for her condition to become very unstable. When I returned once again, she passed that evening. I had never told her, Ara, she was named, that I was sorry. That I loved her. That more than anything in the world, I loved her.”

A tear slid silently out of my eye. I hadn’t even realized I was about to cry, I was too caught up in spouting my flashbacks to Xiron. “She was the only person who understood me, Xiron. But I see in you something I saw in her- something broken. Something that needed an understanding friend. She taught me as much about life as I taught her about reality. Ever since her death, I’ve traveled alone. I’ve tried a handful of times to find another companion, but never with success. I’ve never told anyone the truth. No one has ever listened. I also just wanted to say-“I broke off quickly, calming myself. “- just say that, it’s okay to be afraid. Life is scary, Xiron. We just need the right person to face it with.” The light of my plasma flare softened to a dull glow, casting an eerie, dappled glow, the color of tropical ocean water. The light mingled with the edges of Xiron’s glow, his beautiful, beautiful orbs illuminating the forest. It was breathtaking. So there isbeauty in truth, I mused.

Turning my attention back to Xiron, I continued.
“It hurts,” I whispered, the flow of tears almost returning. “It hurts to be alone. The rumors don’t bother me, not anymore. I’ve hardened myself against that, at least. But It’s hard, so hard. I don’t want that to happen to you, Xiron, like it happened to me.” I declared truthfully.“I- I can teach you.” I whispered again, tripping over my words a little. I shuffled my Mardi-Gras paws. I can teach you how to live in this world, to be unafraid; to conquer each day without fear. All I ask from you, is that I won’t be alone. That you won’t be alone.

“Even if you decline my offer, fair Xiron, and never again bring this meeting to your mind, don’t forget what I have said, at least. Please, never forget.”
I winced involuntarily, my thoughts swimming around and bumping into each other, a mass chaos inside my head. "‘Remember how it is to be alone, after many months of restless searching, fruitless chances. It isn’t as peaceful as you think". I added the last line with a sideways glance back at him. “Remember what happened to Ara, how everything she had was taken to quickly, so unfairly. We should have appreciated what time we had left together. Life is so unfair,” I repeated with a sigh. “But I can show you, I give you my word. And- “ I said, slipping the shiny rock necklace off of my neck- “I can give you this. It may be a little more solid than my word, if you would prefer. Ara would have loved that…” I said, gazing at the rock I set at Xiron’s ghastly paws with a sad smile. “I want to get over this loneliness,” I spoke, lifting my gaze back to him. “I need your help, and I believe you can use mine. A fair exchange.” I nodded once, hoping he agreed. I hoped he was even listening, too. Something told me he was.

“It’s been so long,” I sighed once more, trying to draw this painful, yet hopeful conversation to an end. “It’s been so long since I have spoken the truth. But I do not represent lies; I do not want you to think that.” I rose to my paws, element swirling with anticipation. “It was not my intention to disturb your peace, or your thoughts,” I nodded solemnly, in a whisper. “But I do hope, with all my heart, that you’ll remember this. And… and consider. I’ll take my leave now, to leave you to your musings,” I said with a wry smile. “I’m sure you have a lot to think about,” I said, noticing the other wooers peeking through the trees, infringing on my time with him. But if you ever want to talk, or… join me, simply tell me. Call for me. I’ll be there.” And with this, I blinked in farewell, a little, pleasant smileresting on my face, and I melded back into the shadows, which swaddled my healing mind like the softest blanket. Maybe I wouldn’t always be broken.
Whew! At last! I typed this whole story up in Microsoft, after I had written it in my notebook. I think it totaled 6 pgs front ant back in my note book, and 4 pgs in Microsoft. Not to mention I had a ten-week-old-kitten with an affixation for biting anything that moves, namely my fingers! I think this was my favorite woo to write, even though the lines are etched with sadness. I’m glad, at least, that we all know Vercivis’s tale. She isn’t truly alone, right?

Ahzen seemed to buzz with excitement and anticipation as the vortex began to spin and swirl with color and energy, indicating the arrival of Ahzenai. I watched with a concentrated expression as a purple, orange, and black Ahz stepped out from the vortex. She was rather a dainty Ahzenai, acting in very planned and elegant motions. Elvira, I heard her speak evenly. Another female Ahz soon followed after Elvira, announcing her name was Sererak. I grinned at Sererak’s excitement to everything. I would’ve liked to go and Woo Sererak though I didn’t think our personalities fit to well. I turned my attention back to the vortex urging it to release yet another one of its amazing creatures. My eyes were fixed on the vortex, unblinking until they finally had to close.

When I opened my eyes I felt a sudden jolt of wonder come over me. There, heading off in a quick fashion, was a ghostly looking figure. Scrambling to my feet I rather clumsily made my way after the pale creature. It was rather strange to think that this Ahzenai would go off in such a hurry towards this remote area. I let my footsteps die off as I stopped a good foot or two away from what I had presumed a ghost Ahz. Letting myself take in the Ahz it was quiet noticeable how he always faced anyone who came by, keeping his gaze fixed on the humans with a wary look. In the same time my gaze quickly swept over him, though my eyes rested straight into his coal black eyes. From what I could see the male had a sleek, frosty, white fur coat. His two white curved horns wrapped around his long slender ears to stop right above his dark black eyes. The black tear stain marks running down from his eyes appeared to be the only markings on him. As far as I could tell he did seem rather ghost like. His gassy white element was clouded, floating above him, and it took me while too actually figure out he had an element. I didn't let myself observe his glowing element to hard as I wanted to try and talk to him more then just look at his appearance.

“So” I breathed softly, trying to break the outstretched silence. “Uh, my names redninetails.” Every time I let my gaze move away from him it always returned to stare back into his. I let myself observe him in the way I do with most people. It would be nice to know this Ahzenai’s name so I wouldn’t keep on referring to him as him. “You know I have to wonder why you hurried off before I could get your name.” I joked, trying to sound friendly and failed quiet badly. “I really think that you and I could be great companions.” I started again, throwing away my act. “You don’t appear to want to attract a lot of attention towards yourself and I think the two of us are quiet alike. Big groups never really were my thing and I prefer to just be one on one with someone. If you wanted to come with me I can assure you that there isn’t going to be any large number of people to crowd you…” My hands held each other, moving rigidly in my usual habit to fidget if I’m not comfortable. He appeared to want to be left in solitude. “Well, I hope that you’ll accompany me as my new companion.” I finished softly and with a curt nod I strolled off to leave him be.

Ahzenai's name
Dexter

Personality/Background
Dexter is a genius. He knows everything there is to know about
the human body. Anatomy, mentality, weaknesses. He is the
ultimate fighter as well. With one glance Dexter is able to
determine weak spots, strengths, and abilities in any creature.
There's really not much this Ahzenai can't do.

Seemingly bored, Dexter sat atop a high rock overlooking all of Ahzen. Waiting for the Vortex to finally spit up some new Ahzenia, Dexter lazily swept his gaze across the wide expanse. He let out a huge yawn, barely trying to dismiss the light scratching of tiredness on his eyes. He rested his chin against the cool rock, hoping that the shroud of unconsciousness would come soon.

As he closed his eyes, a sharp caress of power swam around him, stirring his fur and tickling his ears. Immediately, his eyes thrust open and stared at the violently swirling vortex. Carefully, but elegantly, Dexter descended to ground level, making a bee line straight to the on coming Ahzenai. The new Ahzenai proudly stepped from the vortex and gave a short speech that Dexter didn't listen much too. He seemed to only catch her name. Elvira.

"Miss Elvira," Dexter announced as he bowed to her. Coming back to eye level, he examined her intensively, slightly smirking. "I do adore the confidence in you." His gaze raked her whole form, "You also seem to have a fair amount of muscle." Then his gaze rose once more, burning into her golden orange eyes. "Join me, Elvira. Be with me. I'll show you everything. We'll be the perfect team, my love."

Dexter turned around elegantly, retracing his steps back to the perch he'd abandoned. Climbing the rocks back to the top, the slight buzz of excitement died. Confident in his short encounter with the beautiful Elvira, he rested back on the cool rock, able to finally sleep without disturbance.

A chill ran across Volcan's skin, making the hackles on the back of his neck stand on end. He turned to look at the vortex and noticed an airy wisp coming from within it. A ghostly figure fled to the nearby trees, almost as if it were worried that someone would see it. Volcan lightly padded to the edge of the trees, peering into the shadowed darkness of the forest. There was nothing to be seen but the tingle through his body and the way his fur stood on end said there was something. Volcan slowly padded into the trees. Behind a tree not too far away, Volcan felt more then saw a pulsing aura. Getting low to the ground, Volcan pulled his ears back as he silently crept the the tree, his soul cowering the closer he got.

He stopped directly opposite of the pure white glow on the other side of the trees, noticing that the area around, whatever it was, was slightly illuminated despite the fact that the forest was so tightly packed with trees that no light would get through the thick canopy. Volcans soul howled and cried, almost convincing him to turn and run. Run and never look back at what this thing is. But he had to find out. Anger at his hesitation flowed through him. Temporarily overpowering fear, he took this split second to round the tree, despite his frantic senses.

I ghost like Ahzenai lay on the damp earth. Shock rippled through Volcan as he stared at the beautiful coat of this Ahzenai. But it seemed to not react to Volcan.

"My name is Volcan," he announced proudly. "It seems you don't like to be noticed, but something draws me to you. Yet my soul fears you," Volcan lightly shivered, the air seeming suddenly colder. "Don't fear these pathetic humans. They're all bark and no bite. Infact, if you wish to not fear them, you could intimidate them. Join my group. We'll exterminate these big sacks of flesh, and you'll never have to see another one," Volcan gave a charming, yet vicious smile, showing his complete determination in the threats he has so blatantly made. "Join me, we'll make one hell of a team."

Volcan confidently turned around and exited the forest noticing the humans seemed to unknowingly avoid this part of Ahzen. His soul seemed to relax as well as muscles he didn't even noticed were tensed. He'll be the perfect addition to our team, he thought. I just hope I sold it well enough. I need him with us, we'll be unstoppable.

But everybody’s like cristal,
Maybach,
Diamonds on your time piece.
Jet planes,
Islands,
Tigers on a gold leash.
We don’t care,
We aren’t caught up in your love affair.
And we’ll never be royals..
It don’t run in our blood,
That kind of lux just ain’t for us.
We crave a different kind of buzz.
Let me be your ruler,
You can call me queen B
And baby I’ll rule.
Let me live that fantasy.

I'll click yours if you click mine <3 wrote:Image~~Image~~Image~~Image

Alright, I figure I'll judge two days after Thanksgiving. Hopefully that should give you all enough time to finish your entries. I will give a 24 hour and a 1 hour notice before I judge.
