Future story:
It had already been a year since he'd set foot on his true homeland. It seemed like so long, though he couldn't say that he hadn't enjoyed himself during that time. Lifting his head into the cold sea air, he threw his head from side to side, mane shaking but most of all, head clearing as he inhaled deeply. It had been hard to get over the trauma that had been the separation from his friends and family. He could remember it as if it had only been a day ago even if it had been so long in reality. Despite his aggression, his fighting spirit, the blood and the tears... The humans that had taken him in hadn't given in. In a way, he could actually say that he admired their tenacity, but then he just reminded himself that their species stole him away in the first place... That was a sure-fire way to set himself back on track. After all, they hadn't named him unconquerable because it sounded nice...
Swishing his tail behind his slender frame as he swung round to trot off in the opposite direction of the sea, not wishing to get his fur wet in such a cold climate. Not that he really felt it, his fur was thick enough otherwise they would have never taken him there. Bunching up the muscles in his legs to leap to a ledge on the mountainside, his bright emerald eyes scanned the area for predators. As he was not a tame Equiid. No Sir. He wandered the mountainsides without a care in the world, being observed in moreorless his natural environment by the humans.
The rock beneath his hooves was dry and hard, stable for the moment so he made every second count and started nibbling on the rough grass that he had always known. It was relatively tasteless, as it usually was this time of year, though he had never really minded. Any food was better than none. This winter wasn't as harsh as some of the others had been, so the extra food he'd eaten ahead of time had been for nothing. Oh well, that was just his luck.
A sound from his side made his body freeze, heart pounding rapidly in his chest. Splaying his legs beneath him, he prepared himself to flee should he need to, though after some careful listening he discarded the sound as merely the humans that he allowed to watch him. Sometimes.
You see, although they had taken from his home... Taken away everyone and everything that he had ever cared about... He would never be tame. His spirit never break. He truly was unconquerable.
