Walking through the woods with my deerhound was getting quite boring. His shaggy muddy coat blew in the wind. i never thought it would be boring, but now it is. I didn't like hunting the deer, i only went tracking with my hound to find the deer. i never shot them or harmed them. i learned that i should always wear orange whenever i go out, tracking, even Scottie, my Deerhound had his own orange vest, that i made him.
My dad always said "Deer can't think; Animals can't... think! They don't even feel the pain, That's something you have to get in your head, Alycia!" He yelled at me, before he passed from a hunting accident. i was with him. He had, sadly, shot himself. The deer had ran.
That's when i saw her; That same deer from that day.
Her hide was a light, soft, brown. She had several Veils of white and gray on her back, ans she grazed. I thought it was the sun at first, but it wasn't. She was amazing. That was when i knew i wanted to have her as a pet.
I slowly got up and took a step toward her. She froze in fear.
"I can protect you from those hunters. I have no gun, so do not be afraid. Will you come with me?" i asked.
