I am a solider
Wounded and broken
Left to die
I am a solider
Lost in the tide
Of a never ending war
I am a soldier
Alone so far
I walk by the stars
I am a soldier
And no fate's could be crueler than I
To walk along this lone soldier's road
But I'll walk away
Walk forever
As long as it means
That my dreams will come true
I am a lone soldier
Walking the path of life
As soon as I saw this, an idea hit me.
I thought back to all of favorite songs and then I thought about how they sounded. Most people would say depressing. That led to me thinking about rain. Rain to most people is gloomy and depressing, but when it rains, I feel my heart lighten and my mind broaden. Rain allows me to express myself more easily through art or writing. It has a certain calming effect on me that allows me to bring my inner artist out.
This dragon is based off of me. The gray dull colors fit well within the rainy background, giving it a slightly mournful, if calming, effect. The gravel pathway indicts a long road ahead of me, filled with rough bumps and sharp edges. The poem to go along with it shows my inner thoughts on this picture. How at first it seems like a lonely picture, only to have more hidden between the lines. A determination to fulfill life to it's fullest and never look back.
At first, I was hesitant to post it, because the road looked to detailed for me. I wanted to blend it up a bit. Bu after a few moments of thinking, I figured I'd post it. I could always go back and edit, but I was quite happy with how this turned out.
I love how I did the rain and I have to thank vindhov for the inspiration on that part. One of her art pieces has rain in it and I loved the style. So I decided to give it a try myself. In the end, I liked it.
I hope you enjoy this! I enjoyed making it.
MESSAGE FOR VINDHOV
The WIP that I posted is no longer usable, as I accidentally erased the lines. I'll have to figure out a way to remove it. Sorry.

Man, finally. i've found someone like me.
I love when it rains. I love the scent of the rain. And truly love to walk/dance/play in the rain ^^ I feel so free. I even forget about life.

Great entry so far!

Finally! Someone who agrees with me!
Yes. I love the smell of wet dust on stones and I love the sound of it. It's refreshing.
Thanks.
