EDIT: Java down D:
Here's my entry for Natie-san's contest. Also, I feel as though the art I did for you isn't good enough. Would you like me to fix it?
Name:
Keravnos (Κεραυνός) (Greek for lightning)
Age (from 400):
205
Gender:
Female
Personality:
Keravnos is usually calm and calculating, with sudden bursts of strong emotion. She is very much a 'tough girl', but she can also be kind and genuine to her friends. Her strong sense of pride and self-dependency are her two most prominent personality features, and Keravnos hates to admit that she is wrong. If there is a brawl going on, she is usually either the cause of it or having a wonderful time knocking heads. What happened to her old clan gives her eyes a haunted look sometimes.
Element:
Electricity
Attacks:
She is the sly type, often gathering massive amounts of electricity in her armor and body before pouncing. Keravnos uses long-range attacks with her lightning, shooting down enemies from up to two-hundred yards. Her light bone structure and slim build allow her to perform amazing acrobatics, but doesn't help much when she is pinned by a larger opponent.
Close Range:
●Static Coat ~ Keravnos fills her fur with mild, non damaging but uncomfortable static electricity.
●Lightning Sphere ~ Somewhat of a shield, more of a dome-shaped energy field that protects her from enemies for short periods of time.
●Claw Shock ~ She directs energy to her claws, increasing the damage dealt by each blow
●Current Cast ~ An attack much like Static Coat, but far more powerful, the veins of lightning dance across her fur. Deters most enemies, but opponents can strike unprotected areas.
Long Range:
●Storm Strike ~ Kervanos's roar sends an arc of lightning from her mouth to the enemy.
●Sky-Split ~ A single, thick lightning-bolt from above strikes the object of her choosing.
Armor Type (gold, silver or bronze):
Gold
Rank (leader, beta, loner, etc):
Loner
Special Ability (invent, dude!):
Keravnos can steal almost anything from anyone; even objects under careful surveillance.
Story:
She was born to a pair of loners; one electricity and the other ice, and though her parents did the best they could to raise Kervanos and her many littermates, life was hard and food was scarce. The family resided in a shallow den on a barren tundra, where the only food to be found lived among tough, stunted bushes in deep, winding burrows.
Being the runt of the litter, she had to fight and sneak for food, often stealing food right out from under her siblings' noses. This behavior gives rise to her knack for thievery. It also made her very resourceful and crafty, almost anything is meal in her mind.
As soon as she was old enough to leave home, she escaped the den and trekked across miles of frozen desert to a forest filled with strange and wonderful creatures. During her tenth year alone, Keravnos ran afoul with a Gryphon, leaving her with a deep cut on her cheek and a bitter grudge.
She has used her time as a loner to hone and perfect her hunting and fighting skills.
Unbeknownst to her, spies from a clan in the mountains above the forested valley Keravnos had taken refuge in were watching her, hoping to bring her into their clan. One day they cornered her and asked her if she would join them. When she accepted - with quite a bit of reluctance - Keravnos was taken to the clan's home, a large, airy cave filled with elemental sabers.
She found it difficult to trust any of her new clanmates at first, often snarling and hoarding away her food. But Keravnos soon learned that there was nothing to fear from these sabers; they became her first true family.
Quite a bit later, Keravnos and her clan noticed a change in the land. The everyday creatures, ones such as rabbits, birds, and deer had vanished from the land. Hunts were unfruitful and the sabers thinned and were weary in the eerie silence. Keravnos once was away on a solitary hunt, the journey for sustenance taking her several days of hard travel. On the eve of the twentieth day away, she returned home, unsuccessful in her endeavor. What awaited her there though, she can never forget.

The stone floor was awash with blood.
Her friends and allies were all laying on the ground, either heaving or motionless and stiff. White foam crusted at the edge of their mouths and bubbled furiously on the ones still living. When Keravnos tore her eyes away and looked up, she saw sabers still walking. Before she could cry out joyously for her friends, she saw that their eyes were wild, lit with dementia and seeping crimson tears. Yellowish-white froth clumped on their lips as they leapt at each other, every corpse-saber bent on destroying the others.
Keravnos's stomach heaved.
Her entire clan had succumbed to a virus, losing their souls, dead inside a body possessed by a demon.
She fled, terrified, but as she ran the sabers heard her. The deranged pack of infected animals chased after her, jibbering and roaring in a fevered mob. Twice they almost claimed her, and twice she barely escaped their dagger-fangs. Just when Keravnos could run no further, she leaped across a stream and collapsed on the other side, waiting for her grisly fate.
A despairing howl from the other side of the water made her open her eyes. To her relief; and bewilderment, the sabers were pacing franticly at the water's edge, unwilling to cross it. The monsters panted and balked in irrational terror of the narrow belt of water.
She was safe.
Keravnos turned and fled, leaving the horrifying forest of death behind her, yet the ghosts of that day will never leave her.
