hi everyone! as march approaches, discord is also rolling out their "age assurance" update (see here for more details). as some of you are aware, discord’s ai has mistakenly flagged stars as an age-restricted server; and unless the age-restriction is reversed only legal age-assured adults will be able to access the server. we’ve (thank you swishy !!) been sending help tickets to discord support to have that removed since october of last year, but we haven’t received a reply yet and we’re not sure when discord will respond either </3

because of this, the admin team has decided to create a new (hopefully) temporary discord for stars! we don’t want anyone to be forced to give up personal info to discord to be a part of the community, access server pings + announcements, etc. our staff team has been helping us with set-up and we’ll be releasing the new server soon (feb 25th by the latest) !!

important notes:
- when we migrate to the new server, we’ll be closing down the channels on the original discord for chatting as we don’t know if the team will be able to reliably moderate / access this server! we’ll leave the channels open for reference (view-only), but keep in-mind that unless you’re age-assured you may not be able to access it ^^


- when the new server link is dropped (wednesday feb 25th by the latest), only two channels will remain open #stars-general (for good-byes) and #help-and-questions (for questions)! all other channels will be locked for chatting

- at cs rollover to march, all channels will be formally closed (view-only)
