At the end of the road, through the woods there is a house. There are rumors that surrounds the occupants, tall and dark. There's a wailing sound that can be heard and a broken swing set sits abandoned out the front. Alas, there's talks that if you visit for halloween there's more than meets the eye for those brave enough to enter the premises.



As you make your way down the secluded path away from prying eyes, those rumours swirl around in your head, you have to wonder is the reward really worth it? But soon the trees clear and a dainty house sits in front of you. A little run down, sure, but it's a house... Upon the porch sits a kal, his eyes following you carefully as they seem to glow in the evening lights. He's big and dark, hooded cape covering most of his expression. You're not sure if he's dressed for the occasion or if this is what he just wears on the daily but despite it all in his lap is a purple bowl filled with what seems to be candy... the good kind. No candycorn or apples here...

Approaching slowly, he watches and waits.
"Trick or Treat!"

"Oh? Congratulations on making it down here. Most people turn tail at the first snap of a branch. Guess there are still people willing to risk it for sweets."

His face brightens instantly, a soft grin and a voice so deep it echos in your chest. Fatherly in a sense. And despite his looks, a sense of relief settles over you as you wait, sharp teeth on display but not for anything nefarious, a warning but not for you. The kal pushes himself to stand, looming over you with ease as he walks down the concrete steps to stand at your side, looking back through the forest with a grin.

"Say, if it's not the forest you're scared of, or even me. What are you afraid of?"
