He nodded. "Yes, I am the one they call Darkfang." He chuckled. "And it's nice to meet you Fireflower. I don't recall seeing your face before. Tell me, what clan are you from? I'm from Shadowclan," He purred with pride as he said his former clan's name.

Fireflower shrugged. "I used to be a rouge. I joined OneClan when I heard about it. I wanted a better life for my kit than I could give her outside the clan."

Darkfang nodded in approval. "That's a very noble thing of you to do. Putting your kit above yourself..." His gaze went to the medicine cat den. "Is...there something the matter with her? She sounded like she was sick with all that coughing..."

Fireflower nodded. "Yes, she seems to have WhiteCough. I certainly hope it's nothing serious....." her face hardened as she saw Hollyleaf come out of the Medicine Cat Den. "Yes, Hollyleaf. She's fine for now."

Darkfang saw the mother begin to worry and tried to cheer her up. "We have great medicine cats," he purred in what he hoped sounded like an encouraging voice. "Don't stress about it. Cremekit will be fine."

Fireflower cocked her head at Hollyleaf. "All......all right then, Hollyleaf. See you later." Once Hollyleaf had left, she turned to Darkfang. "She's sort of strange, don't you think?"

Darkfang looked to the clouds. They were starting to get dark but nothing was really happening at that moment. He smiled to his companion. "Medicine cats are strange at times. But they heal us and give us prophecies from StarClan."

Darkfang nodded. "I would but my foot still hurts," he said apologetically. "Sorry. But I would be glad to eat some freshkill with you or to share tongues."
