You belong among the wildflowers
You belong in a boat out at sea
You belong with your love on your arm
You belong somewhere you feel free

Run away, go find a lover
Run away, let your heart be your guide
You deserve the deepest of cover
You belong in that home by and by

You belong among the wildflowers
You belong somewhere close to me
Far away from your trouble and worries
You belong somewhere you feel free

Name: Bree

Prompt: While others might prefer a nice, neatly arranged garden devoid of “unwanted plants”, Bree prefers to "let nature run wild", in their own words. Their ideal garden may have been one of those tamed, curated creatures at one point, but it has been unchained - left to grow into a savage beast after years of what some may call neglect.

Trees veil Bree’s sanctuary in the sanctity of silence, broken only by the conversations of birds on the wing and the lazy buzz of insects in the summer heat. The weeds have staged a verdant revolution; slinking from the trees like wolves. Their joyous victory blooms in pops of white and gold and violet. The centrepiece is an old fountain overtaken by creeping phlox and myrtle; tangled with ivy that spills from its lips like the ghost of a river.

There in her cathedral of the green, she prays in solitude - a sanguine ode to nature. Bitterness gnaws at the edges of the song, seeping up from a well deep below as responsibilities settle on their shoulders. So much to do, and so little time to do it. Just once - just once - she wants a place that is truly hers. A place untouched by human hands; by the mind-numbing slog of routine and society. And Bree has it, in their garden. Even if it will never truly be theirs - it is a wild thing; unruly and untamable. But that, in essence, is what she loves about it. Something once constrained by careful planning and expectation, but no longer. It is only when revelling in its rampant rebellion that Bree feels truly free.

"What's my dream garden?" The gentle green Kalon spoke with a warm smile "Haha~ Why a fairy garden of course! I just adooore leaving bits and bobbles for my little friends!" She looked way shyly for a moment before returning her gaze back to you. "Sometimes I swear I hear little jingles around my garden,, I like to think it's them saying thank you!" She said before she kindly led you to her small fairy garden with a smile accross her face the entire time, her hair bouncing as she walked.

She was very excited to get to talk about her garden.

Name: Willow (Wilt)
Prompt:

Wilts been given the nickname for their many manyy failures at growing plants, they strive to grow a beautiful garden, full of herbs and flowers, a place they can take care of the sick with natural remedies. However, due to the plant bodies they leave in their wake they went to medical school and became a doctor instead.

Maybe one day they might fill their garden with plants like bee balm or basil, growing a beautiful willow tree to cover a spot where they care for their patients in a small town. That's what they wish for anyway, and who knows maybe they'll finally do it.

[106 Words]

Extra: They're a great doctor and maybe one day they'll learn how to grow the plants they love so very much.

Name: Fern
Prompt:
There is a garden surrounded by intricate, dark and fancy metal fencing, latticework long-since overrun by ivy, the deep green hues of the vines now in bloom with vibrant orange flowers that droop softly away from the leaves they’re surrounded by. Rather than a gate, the circular wall of the fencing leads to an open arch, crawling vines drooping from the swirling accents that line the top of the arch, swaying gently in the soft breeze. Large stones in the ground provide a path to the inside of this garden, moss visible between them. One of the branches of the path inside leads to a weeping willow, the ground beneath it empty of any extra plants but soft moss and lichen. Another leads towards a softly bubbling spring and the small stream that flows out of the garden from it. The rest simply creates a large circular path. The rest of the ground is absolutely covered in native wildflowers and plants, some in bloom, some that never have proper wildflowers, for their purpose is to feed and home any insects and animals that might want to visit. Few ground flowers are blooming right now but the ones that are, are a wild splatter of different colors and shapes. The sun has just set, but the moon is full, and the glow of the moon and many, many fireflies leave the garden well-lit nonetheless. In the day, the garden might be filled with iridescent beetles, butterflies, and the songs of many birds. Now, the songs are those of crickets and frogs hidden below, while in the air, along with the fireflies, dance moths of all shapes and sizes. Later, the garden will be visited by the bats that roost nearby, but for now, the garden is at peace.

Extra: While their ideal garden is, of course, quite idealistic, realistically Fern wants a secret garden of their own that can be a sanctuary for moths and butterflies of many kinds. The circle of life would still be active, and they know and appreciate that many predators would come (they’re banking on it, really), but they truly just adore bugs, the beautiful winged ones especially. Studying them gives Fern a sense of peace and fulfillment. Despite their rather different bodies, or maybe because of them, they can’t help but to adore their little insect friends. They’d like to spend all the time around them that they can.
