Aviloes, Terrenus Avilus, are a domesticated alien species, affectionately referred to as "bugs". They are mammals and carnivores, and most have short fur, large ears and large eyes. All aviloes have two or more antenna on their head and a chime at the end of their tail, with it most commonly being a round shape. Many aviloes don a special collar, which is used to calm them down and make them more manageable as housepets. Aviloes not wearing these will generally be more aggressive towards humans and others of their species.
Regular aviloes are about the size of a german shepherd dog, but appear taller because of their longer neck. As they do not hunt animals from earth and mainly sustain themselves on finding scraps or having food bought for them, they make for more environmentally friendly pets than most. They can also be quite expensive to buy and own, which means you'll rarely see a stray aviloe.
While they are very intelligent, they may struggle to understand human commands, and can thus be very difficult to train.

Buggies, Terrenus Avilus Minutus, are a subspecies of aviloes. They are much smaller in size, being about the size of a small cat, and have a much calmer demeanor. Because of this, they are often not wearing the collar that so many aviloes have. They often have longer, softer fur, smaller ears and a short stubby tail with no chime. With them missing the chime, they are often drawn to bells for comfort. Buggies are more popular with children and people with less time or energy for raising an animal, as they are instantly affectionate towards humans, and have an easier time understanding their language. There are contests where owners of buggies will groom and dress them to resemble regular aviloes.

SPECIES RULES:

- Aviloes are a closed species, meaning you cannot make one without an MYO ticket or express permission from a higher-up staff.
- Aviloes are not considered official until they are given an ID number in the archive.
- Official aviloes may be traded*, sold and gifted.
- For paid adopts, they may be sold for the value they were purchased unless art is added. For free adopts, they may only be traded* or gifted unless art is added.
- Nursery adopts have a week cooldown before they may be sold or traded*. They can be gifted at any point.
- You may "co-own" aviloes, but they will only be listed as belonging to one person in the archive.
- Aviloes are hermaphrodites, meaning they can breed regardless of the gender of themselves or the partner.
- There are no guidelines on an aviloes sexuality or gender expression.
- Pressuring, guilt-tripping or otherwise trying to convince someone in the community to give you adopts, art, items etc will not be tolerated.
- Bullying or harrassment will not be tolerated.

* "trade", in this case, refers to exchanging for other aviloes, art, one-off characters or species items. "sale" includes sales for real money and for chickensmoothie pets / currency, and as such with other relevant games.

Standard = the species standard, "required" traits
Base = any common variations, like common traits.
Uncommon = things that are less typical for the species
Rare = larger and less common traits
Unique = any traits that are not on the trait list
