Eye Of The Tiger ~ Survivor

Rapha was a great fighter and hunter for his clan, but he got cocky. Many started to avoid him for his attitude. So when a traveling group came along that spoke of a fighting group that many from all over came to see, he jumped at the chance. He traveled and fought. Many other cats yes, but also other creatures both greater and smaller than he. Some gave him scars, but he always came out on top. After a time, he became tired of the flash and the fame. He just wanted family again. Praise from family had more meaning than the wish wash praise from a fan.
After a fight with his manager, he escaped and traveled through many perilous lands owned by other clans and species. He fought hard, and at times began to wonder... But no, he would survive. He would make it back.
And he did. His family welcomed him home, missing their son, their brother, their friend. Any fears he had were assuaged and he was home. Now he hunts for his clan and fights for his clan. Because family is everything worth fighting for.

Tigerstreak has never been content with second place. Right from the get-go she craved greatness with an intensity that was slightly unsettling to behold. That unwavering need to be the best carried her through her apprenticeship, into adulthood, and straight into the ranks of her clan's warrior elite. There she excelled, biding her time, honing her body and skills like the weapons they were. When the clan's champion was forced to retire, Tigerstreak was one of two cats nominated to replace her. The ensuing duel was entirely too close, but Tigerstreak limped away victorious.

Her elation lasted less than a moon. The position of champion, it transpired, was more symbolic than practical. There was precious little need for her to lead the clan in battle. Instead she stood watch over the clan's leader and deputy, a menacing reminder of the power they could conjure up at the swish of a tail. If she was a weapon, she was one forged from gold and etched with fine filigree- undoubtedly impressive, but utterly useless.

And those who look to cast me aside

What good is a weapon damaged beyond repairing? No good at all, of course, except as raw materials to be reforged into something more useful. Tigerstreak was no different. There was an accident, a clumsy apprentice who overshot the mark whilst practicing grapples, and then... darkness. Life as she knew it ended the moment she lost her eye. However ceremonial their role, champions had to be the best of the best. Tigerstreak no longer fit that mold.

For the first time in her life, she was lesser-than, and the realization nearly drove her to despair.

Tigerstreak's meteoric rise to fame had left a trail of simmering resentment in her wake. Now, with no rank or power to protect her, that animosity boiled to the surface. The same cats she had so enjoyed humiliating took great pleasure in returning the favor. Such an insult required an answer in kind. Back and forth they fought, each cycle escalating, until the clan's leader was forced to step in.

Banishment almost came as a relief. Tigerstreak left her home with head held high, determined to beat the odds for a second time.
