████████████████████████ Welcome to the Nursery! ████████████████████████
Here in the Panthera Nursery, you can breed two Panthers together to get a litter of cubs! These cubs are not designed immediately, but instead are handed to the players as Genos, which can then be designed by an artist at a later date. This system is set up so that players can pick and choose which offspring they wish to have made, in case the first breeding does not produce the desired traits or genes.

████████████████████████ Guidelines ████████████████████████
In the pursuit of semi-realism, breedings may only be done between a Male and Female Panther. While we here at Panthera encourage our players to create diverse casts of characters with any gender or romantic preferences that you would like, in order for two Panthers to have biological offspring, they must be different physical genders. You can see this information in every Panther's thread, labelled as "AGAB", standing for "Assigned Gender at Birth".
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Each Panther may only be bred once per month. This cooldown resets on the first of every month. (So, for example, if Panther A made a litter on the 10th of March, and Panther B has a litter the 28th of March, they would both be breedable again on the 1st of April).
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Each Player may only produce three litters per month. As with the Panther breeding cooldown, this resets on the first of the next month, regardless of when in the previous month the Player submitted their breeding requests.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Each litter may produce between 1-4 cubs. 2-3 cubs is more likely than 1 or 4.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The cubs produced in this thread are genos, which are stored in the Geno page of the Archive. These genos may be designed at a later date, when a staff member opens Design Slots on the Main Thread.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Ownership of the cubs produced in a litter is always granted to the player who posted the litter request. If the player who posted the litter request wishes to give one or more of the cubs to a different user, they must post a gifting/ownership transfer request on the Trading Thread.

████████████████████████ Breeding Permissions ████████████████████████
Panthera allows it's players to grant each other permission to use their Panthers in litter requests. In other words, if you obtain permission from another player, you can use their Panther in your litter request. However, in order to keep track of said permissions and to make sure Panthers are not used outside of how their owners wish them to be used, our system for doing so is fairly strict.
━━━━━━━━━━ Granting a Breeding Permission ━━━━━━━━━━
If you wish to grant another user permission to use your Panther in their litter requests, you must make a post on your Panther's Thread which states something to this effect:
"I am giving [user] permission to use this Panther in (1, 2, 3, etc...) litter requests!"
The user in question should have their profile linked as well as their full username posted. You can also pose extra limitations on this Permission Post, such as specifying an expire date (e.g. "Until May 20th, 2025"), or limiting what partners the user can pair with your Panther (e.g. "With any Pure Saddlebred partner").
Please keep in mind that the per-Panther cooldown of one litter per month still applies. If someone you gave a Breeding Permission to uses that Permission, then you cannot also breed that Panther in the same month.
━━━━━━━━━━ Using a Breeding Permission ━━━━━━━━━━
If you wish to use a Breeding Permission, you must link to the post on the Panther's thread wherein the owner of said Panther gave you permission in the "Permission:" section of the litter request form.
When a Breeding Permission is used, the staff member who is rolling the litter will quote the permission post and state that it was used, with a link to the relevant Litter Result post.
━━━━━━━━━━ Changing a Breeding Permission ━━━━━━━━━━
If a player wishes to rescind a Breeding Permission for any reason, they can do so any time before the Permission is used by editing or deleting the Breeding Permission post in question.
Breeding Permissions cannot be traded, transferred, or sold. They can only be granted by the owner of a Panther, or rescinded by that same said owner.
If/When a Panther with unused Breeding Permissions is gifted, traded, or otherwise changes ownership, all previous Breeding Permissions are considered void. If the new owner wishes to reinstate said Breeding Permissions is up to them.
━━━━━━━━━━ Final Note ━━━━━━━━━━
Finally, please understand that Panthera Staff will not get involved in disputes over Breeding Permissions. This system is meant to allow players more freedom in how they interact with the community and how they develop their Panthera characters, not necessarily to create an economy of "Breeding Slots" to be traded around.
