fable name: Aoife [ee-fuh]
prompt:
Aoife’s voice is a melodious sound of the sea. Her laugh is like the everlasting ocean greeting the black rocks, delightful and delicious. Her whispers like quicksilver, they sweep along the salty breeze like the dry gales sift through sun-bleached sand on the coast. Her exclamations, rare and soft, beautiful as the clouds resting along the horizon, tinted pink. Her sighs, tired as a weary gull, but at the same time promising to try again as the sunlight melts into the sea. Making idle talk, she sounds only half in this world, the green ocean shining in the light calling to her, her voice picking up the rush of the waves at the shore, reaching, reaching, but never achieving and ever resolute.

fable name: Sonus
prompt: 126 words
Sonus rarely speaks, but his voice is treat to the few who get to hear. His words ring out, even when spoken softly, like the bell from a church. It commands attention and reverence, all other noise seems to be swallowed by his words.
His laugh is like sleigh bells, an echoing ring that grows with each moment.
His steps are soft clicks, even on surfaces that it doesn't make sense for them to be. His gallop, a steady percussion beat.
Wherever he stands, it sounds like a slight breeze. His wings and mane seem to constantly shuffle, a soft rustling that fills a space.
The silver bell on his horn, funnily enough, is silent. He says it used to ring. Perhaps he stole its sound.

fable name: Jayce
prompt: It depends on the mood and what he wants to express. When he is anxious or agitated his voice sounds like... did it ever occurred to you that you are trying to open an old door and it is like rhaaaaaa-heeeee? That unnerving squeak is the only thing that comes to my mind when I try to describe his voice. When he is happy, however his voice is different: it is like when you wipe a window with a cloth. It's still a weeeee-weeeep-uiiiin unnerving sound, yes, but slightly better. I think. Does his voice ever become somehow pleasant, you may ask. No, not really. That's why Jayce prefers to talk with jays, crows and magpies. They are the only ones that don't seem annoyed by his voice... I wonder why...

Yay congrats Melonbread, you belong with the team 100%!
fable name: Finch
prompt: Uncharacteristic for a big, strong cervid, Finch is chirping like a bird - his voice is high pitched and he speaks in short, quick phrases, from afar making it seem like he's chirping rather than talking. While it seems like a cute and charming personality trait, it actually makes his life harder - others often dont take him seriously due to his comedy sounding voice, making it stressful for him to get his point across when he's serious, and especially when its something that matters a lot to him. He puffs his wings like angry owl when he means something but others think its just a joke, so you could say his "angry voice" sounds like rustling feathers.

fable name: Calliope [kuh-LAI-uh-pee]
prompt:
If you hear a faint whistling above on a breezy day, look up fast enough and you’ll see Calliope gliding past.
The spiraling ridges and curves of her horns channel the air as she flies, shaping it into a panflute’s wild sound. A silver bell affixed to one horn jingles lightly, but you can only hear it if she lets you come close.
Her feathered wings, too, sing their song in flight. Not quite the metallic trill of a hummingbird’s many wingbeats, nor the sharp whistle of a mourning dove alighting, but something in-between. Something like the far-off ringing of sleigh bells caught in the wind.
At rest, she can slide her wings against each other, and the feathers make a sound like an airy violin. A brave maiden may seek her to hear the song: if you are lucky enough to find her, the tune she bestows to you is unique. Some say it’s magic.
Her speaking voice is soft, and carries as far as dandelion fluff. But for all of her other melodic sensibilities, when she sings, she is utterly tone-deaf.

fable name: Aphrodite
prompt: As a result of being born in the seafoam, Aphrodite sounds like waves crashing gently against the shoreline. Soft, heavenly. Some may say that, if you listen closely, you can hear the whispers of the aquatic life speaking through the young Fable. A yell is the sound of a wave slamming into rocks, a whisper is the sand being enveloped in white foam. While Aphrodite tends to get annoyed with her accent (as she likes to call it), its oceanic vocals bring peace to her with the constant reminder of her connection to life beyond the Fables. fable name: Lynn
prompt: loves the sound of pebbles hitting water (especially frozen water).
She grew up next to a large lake and as a kid she would spend hours and hours searching for stones to throw into the water. She loves the unique sounds and dance of each stone, the gentle plops of small pebbles to the massive kerplunks of the heavy rocks she could barely lift. She loved to throw a handful of small pebbles into the water, each would create a short melody of splashes accompanied by a dance of ripples on the surface.
The first winter she can remember, her lake froze over. Doing as she always does she collected her pebbles and threw them on top of the icy water, but the sounds were new. As the rocks slid and bounced on the ice it created a surreal high pitched chirping sound. It almost sounded extraterrestrial, and Lynn was amazed. From that winter on when the lake freezes; she collects a small handful of pebbles and throws them just to hear that mystical sound again.

Congrats on becoming an artist!! I absolutely adore your art and designs!
fable name: Elijah
prompt: (103 words)
For the weary traveller, the restless, and those in dire need, the rhythmic sound of wingbeats paired with the gentle chime of a bell is something akin to a miracle. His soft, quiet voice, laced with a subtle rasp, carries the comforting warmth of a mother’s embrace.
He does not speak your language. Instead his words wash over you, it vibrates softly through you, as if the sound were more felt than heard. The resonance of his tone holds a question, not in words, but in the warmth of the sound itself, as if to say, "What weighs on your heart, tiny soul?"
